It was hard to get him on the phone, he completely ignored my request to at least buy the pumps back from me, since they were not even part of the problem. Bad service, bad customer service, over charger. Long story short, he charged me $1500 for 4 hours work which did nothing to fix the tub, and ignored my requests for follow up. Go anywhere else.

We found the price to be fair and reasonable. Anton connected us with a collaborative designer with whom he works closely (Bonnie Johnson, Spruce & Steel Design). From the beginning, Alex (the owner) impressed us with his thoughtful planning, clear communication, and confident approach to a destroyed yard: a post-construction disaster zone wherein our entire quarter-acre plot of land was turned into a pit of uneven, impacted mud. Our project involved building a retaining wall, grading, improving drainage, and hauling away a large dump truck of poor quality fill dirt. It was a tough job, but they handled it with incredible professionalism and skill from start to finish. Not only did they tackle the hard work with skill and efficiency, but they also went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right--down to the last detail, suggesting water timers and tripod sprinklers that worked well. Their team was professional, and respectful. The dumpster company he hired accidentally knocked over my mailbox. I texted him about it the evening I noticed it; it was replaced by the next morning. Also, Alex genuinely seemed to care about the outcome, calling and later stopping by after a week to check the progress. The end result was even better than we imagined. What was once a sad and frustrating yard is now beautiful, usable, and a joy to spend time in again. I realized I needed help after several hours in the hot sun. After getting bids from three other gardening providers on Yelp, I ended up choosing Joseph. And am I glad I did! He came out and after walking through my overgrown pollinator garden, he gave me a quote which was pretty much consistent with the others. Big difference? He communicates well, he is ethical, he shows up on time, works hard, cleans up afterward. He is also a nice man who cares about the quality of what he does. Joseph is knowledgeable about many plants and trees. To his credit, when he encountered one he wasn't familiar with, he set about educating himself so he would do things right. He pruned my Mock Orange, Oregon Grapes, my Japanese Maple, a wildly out of control espaliered Apple tree, thinned out some fading seasonals, and pulled up a dying azalea I'd tried, but failed, to bring back. Then pulled out the overgrown weeds from my curb and sidewalk to make it all look more tidy. I'll be calling Joseph again, absolutely. You should, too. My before photos aren't uploading after three tries. Hmmmm. Trust me though, things were out of control.

We started with some tired, neglected landscaping containing a lot of (sick) grass, and some drainage issues, and from that they created a mini nature park in our backyard, including a river-rock-filled dry creek bed, a packed gravel walkway around it, built-in drip irrigation, lighting, as well as a plan for trees and shrubs that will invite birds, bees, butterfiles, etc. This plan was executed by a company she frequently partners with - Oregon Outdoor Living - and they were great to work with as well. The workers are highly skilled and diligent. We're looking forward to see how it grows out! Communication has been excellent all of the way through. When you call, the schedulers actually know pool systems well enough to walk through real troubleshooting steps before booking an appointment. That alone sets them apart. We had ongoing issues with our pool heater, and not only did their tech fix the equipment problem, he took the time to look at our entire setup. He discovered that our gas meter wasn't sized correctly for both the home and the pool. Because of his recommendation, NW Natural came out (for free) and replaced the meter (also free). Our pool has been running better ever since. They also appreciated that we handle our own water maintenance -- no judgment, no upselling, just genuine support and professionalism. Classic Pool Spa & Hearth is a company with integrity, expertise, and great people. Don't waste time with other companies. Get a second opinion from Classic; it will save you money and frustration.

Found an amazing deal at Classic but that has been the only amazing part of this. After finally getting the pad put down and electric run to the tub we were set to fill it and enjoy. Nope Fire it up, test water, adjust the chemistry only to have it shut off and throw error codes. Fine, call and get service out to see what's up. Gent who came out was super knowledgeable and thorough in going through everything to be sure what was wrong. This is where I am now stuck and angry. The main pump is seized from rust. Rust from where? Sitting in the showroom for 2 yrs. That would not be a big deal IF I was not now being asked to buy the new pump for $670.00. Why? It's not under warranty after 2 yrs. From the get go we were lied to. Told we were getting a discount because my partner is a Vet. Wrong, it was to move an old floor model. We were told it had a custom top. Another lie, the top we were given is two+ inches too big all the way around. I was told by service that someone was supposed to show us how to do chemistry for it, never happened or spoken about. Now I am sitting here with a tub that does not work, expected to pay for a new pump or have a useless hot tub. I don't care about buying a floor model. If they would have said it was a 2+yr old floor model I would have said test it first or deeper discount. What really makes it all worse is the lies. It's a crap business conduct, it results in customers that go elsewhere not 'customers for life' like their site says. I will update if/when I get resolution. UPDATE: pump is ordered on the shops dime. Just waiting for it to show up. Cover supposedly has been ordered to replace the one that is way too big. Still not a hot tub yet but working that way. Really thinking I am going to find some place else to service when this is all done.
