I had a bad review from another nail shop to do a pedicure, and the guy was rushing to do my feet and cut my big toe that left a small gash. I was disappointed. I have to say, my nail technician Nick, as I explained my terrible experience reassure me that he would take good care of my feet and he did. Ladies!!!! Horrible!!!! When I say this morning I was so disappointed in this business and how they run. I came in at 8:51am, even though they open at 9:00am. The older woman was willing to take me. She started to soak me and remove most of my gel polish. I was so excited because I felt that I could get in and out. Moments later, another lady walks in for a pedicure. This lady fully stops what she was doing with me to take care of the other lady. I kept my cool because I understand how things can be but when I started noticing the time and that she kept taking others while I just sat there started to bother me. After sitting for so long, I stated to the older woman that I would rather leave. She came over to dry my soak and told me to pay. I didn't mind paying but what's so disgusting and disappointing was, you place me on the back burner and made me wait when I was the first and only body in the shop at the time and I still had to pay for terrible service. Never the less she rushed threw the entire process. So I basically paid $35 to get my nails shaped. I for a nude color acrylic and she didn't file over my nails to make the top even. She didn't let the acrylic dry all the way before filing the sides of my nail. She drilled it o much into my nail. My nails are entirely chewed up on the side. Leaving Sams club, I broke a nail putting the water in the truck. It was supposed to snow the next day and I was pass due for a fill-in. I saw this shop near my location and I stopped in. I do like how I was served immediately. I did over hear one of the techs say she was the only one that spoke English. Who I had.... Did not. I must have looked concerned because they gave me to another tech. He did good. A little slow for my taste but I wanted something simple and he gave that to me. Someone from my church recommended me to come to Custom Nails so I did a walk-in as soon as they opened. I didn't have to wait long to be seen. Sky did my nails and eyebrows and I am SUPER happy with them. I showed her a picture of what I had in mind and she was able to help me with it. She redid my full set (my request), gave me recommendations for colors based on my skin tone and what I wanted, and helped me turn my idea into a slight winter/Christmas themed set. Today is Tuesday, 6/8. I got my nails done on Friday 6/4.. I got my nails done by Annie and I'm extremely disappointed. My sister gets her nails done by Annie faithfully and she always leaves with a beautiful, tasteful, well done set like the ones you see on this place's Instagram, etc so I was excited to try. It almost feels disrespectful how careless she was with my set - the lack of filing, attention to detail, etc. she was mild-mannered and I was the last customer of the day, so I didn't put up a fuss. I took my L and decided to write a review instead. My nails are thick and lumpy, my chrome is already fading off 3 days later, gel is pooled around my cuticles that i had to file on my own, lots of acrylic on my under-nail.. etc. I won't be back. I guess you have to have a rapport with them for the techs to take you seriously? I'm a very simple and understanding nail customer. All I require is a clean, shapely and precise acrylic/powder job. Very frustrating and confusing on the customers end. Instead of communicating to me she continues to speak to the rep stating "well you know we stop taking clients after 4. Initially made my daughter appointment for a Saturday appointment. They took her right away. The next time I called to make an appointment they told me to come at 9:00am. Got there at 9 on Saturday and was told there would be a wait because all of the nail techs book their own individual appointments. We would likely have to wait until someone was free. Customer service is rude and they did not even apologize or try to accommodate. Unless you are a regular don't even try walking in. I left and went somewhere else. DON'T GO TO MICHELLE! My service was horrible. Pedicure didn't look good and she barely knows how to soak nails off. After soaking my nails during my pedicure she attempted to file my nails the rest of the way off but acrylic began flying in my face and all over me. She then tried to cut them off but it hurt. The young lady in charge finished her client, washed her hands, grabbed her wallet, went to 7-Eleven, came back, sat and ate flaming hot Cheetos puffs in a pedicure chair and watched us while WE wiped the acrylic off our own nails in between soaks as it soften up. Yea, not my job sweetheart. As a manager, she should have washed those hot Cheetos off her fingers and provided some assistance to us, but she chose Cheetos over customer service. This is what I get for trying a NEW spot. I was brought to this place via Instagram bc of the work of two of their more modern nail techs (design wise). My first two visits were ok with Jenny and another lady...which is why I continued to come back a third time. Even though my wait as a walk in on a weekday (Wednesday evenings) was an hour or more I understood bc I didn't have an appointment. And of course, the two nail techs I saw on Instagram were booked. On my third visit I actually made an appointment. Unfortunately, the three I asked for were either booked or off on this day so I specifically asked the girl taking my appointment "down" to book me with someone who is GOOD and knows how to do the services I explained to her (ombre). I get there early 30mins before my appointment and they seat me right away with a nail tech (one I never seen on my first two visits). As she started to remove my gel toe polish I noticed she took almost 30 mins to remove with the drill. I asked her if she was new she says "YES, today is my 3rd day here". The basic mani w/gel polish took 1 hour 1/2...I was so livid and I still needed a fill in. The polish was a mess on my toes. I arrived at 5:25 and left close to 9 PM. Total cost for services was $93 no tip...I WAS PISSED AND WILL NOT BE RETURNING. They did not honor my request for someone who was GOOD nor did they ask me if I wanted someone practicing on my toes/nails. My hard earned money down the f***** drain. I'll be going back to my old spot in LaPlata...only left them bc I stopped getting SNS ...stupid me. As you can see she made them entirely too thick and did not shave them down to make them look natural. She did not warn me that with ombré nails it would be as thick as this. If your an expert with nails and licensed you would inform a customs to soak their nails off because it would come out to thick or shave then completely down. I received neither. I went back up to Custom Nails talk with them about my nails and they gave me horrible customer service. I was a frequent customer for the past few years at this shop but over the past 3 months the service has gone down. I used to recommend this shop to so many friends but lately with the poor customer service and the poor quality of work it's no longer worth it. The extensive wait times (even when you have an appointment) make the experience even worse and do not make up for the pricing which has also gone up. This salon allows multiple people not getting service to accompany the customer being served. So during the pedicure a lady sat in an empty chair and talked very loudly to her during herring a service the whole time. When I finally got To the pedicure chair, a child was curled up, bare feet and all, with his guardian. He had an iPad and no earphones.
