I got their information from the LiftMaster dealer page and ended up talking with Steve the owner. Steve was great on the phone and took the time to answer all of my questions. He ended up recommending the LiftMaster 8550 with battery backup, keyless entry, and smartphone control. Turns out this is the very same garage door opener Steve has on his home--which was a good sign. We scheduled Steve to come over the next day and install my new LiftMaster. I was really happy he was available to come over so quickly. I'm used to having to schedule service calls or appointments for my home a week out. Steve showed up at the promised time the next day and got right to work. Turns out he's has been installing and repairing garage doors for over 45 years! It's rare to find people with such a wealth of expertise, but Steve's got it. I suspect he's been working on garage doors for so long that he's probably gotten more about garage doors than most other professionals ever learned. With the installation finished I helped Steve clean-up and we tested it out. My new LiftMaster 8550 looked great and functioned perfectly. I'm really happy with it because it's much, much quieter than my older chain-driven Genie, more responsive when controlled via remote, and the iPhone app is pretty cool too. It's also worth mentioning that I priced out this same LiftMaster 8550 package with another company and they $200 more expensive! After some negotiation they offered me $100 off, but that was still more than $100 more than Steve's price. I really appreciate that Steve didn't try to gouge me and quoted me a fair price. If you're looking for help with your garage door or need a new door installed I recommend giving Steve a call. He's a great person to do business with.

No fun having to lift what feels like a 300 pound door. I called D C Garage Doors and spoke directly to a live person. He said that they could stop by the next morning between 10:30 - 11:30 and that they would call to give me a 20 minute advance notice. The next morning my phone rang at 10:00 AM and they said they would be at my home in 20 minutes. When I arrived home, after leaving my office, the D C door guys were waiting in my driveway. A scant 20 minutes later, everything was fixed and I was back on my way to work. Wow! The garage door opener was repaired, and didn't have to be replaced. It is working like new. They also tightened up and replaced some missing bolts on my door and lubricated everything. Their repair pricing was very fair. Great service from people who knew what they were doing. Plus, they were very courteous. It's nice to work with such professional and courteous people. They have been helping me with my garage door needs for over 10 years, and will definitely be the people I call in the future.

I have a large industrial size swamp cooler on my home. The handyman that I had been using I trusted because he helped my dad, so when he said he needed new pumps or everything was working great, I paid and just assumed it was done correctly. Last summer when it wasn't working correctly, he just never responded at all. I called Case Construction and Roofing to see if they had someone to shut it off in the Fall and they did. I called them to come get it running this year. There were 2 giant holes that just made the water run right out and never even get the pads wet. He asked if I have had a larger water bill and I have, like a LOT more the last couple of summers and I just assumed it was the sprinklers. They told me that my "handyman" put duct tape over the hole. He also said that one of the pumps wasn't even hooked up, the other one didn't work and the last one was dying. They also told me I needed new nets as they hadn't been replaced like I had thought. There was also a hornet's nest that had been in there and the water line had so much calcium in it that it was barely getting any water through. I bought 3 new pumps and the nets. He fixed it beautifully! Every pump is hooked up and running, the water line is working, the holes are fixed and the hornets nest is gone. My house is COLD again and I'm in tears of gratitude that Case Construction and Roofing is honest and fixed this for me. He arrived and told me it was the sensor. I told him to do what he needed to do to get it working. He messed with it a little and I walked inside Then he showed me the door go up a down a few times then told me I owed $95. I paid him cash and he left. I know nothing about garage doors and assumed he did and that he fixed it. My mistake. I run some errands and come home not 2 hours later to the exact same problem. Nothing was fixed, nothing changed! I called him and he said oh maybe it needs a new $95 sensor. Lets try that. Well what did I just pay for??? Service call, Labor and a baby wipe cleaning on it. Something that I could have done my self. A 10 minute job. If he had told me the sensor was bad and it would be $200 I would have been happy to pay that for the convenience of my door working properly.
