I normally don't write reviews but sometimes you have to give credit when credit is due. My first time visiting Custom Factory Installation for a simple re-install of a new head unit. The one I had was installed by another shop. I must say, Angelo is great to work with and very professional. After he re-install of my new head unit (Jenson). It sounded great and no issues, however, after about 30 mins and almost home the subwoofer started acting up again. I noticed I was having some issues before the re-install of the Jenson head unit. The subwoofer was going in and out. So I assume it was the BOSS unit installed and I just needed to upgrade to a better head unit. I called Angelo and without hesitation, he say can I come back now but I was almost home so he said can I come back tomorrow. I went back to Customs the next day and he checked the connections and installed the steering wheel controller I had purchased for a few bucks. Prior to me getting back to the shop the subwoofer has kicked back in so I couldn't duplicate what was happening when the subwoofer went out. So we sat there for about 20 mins and the damn subwoofer did not go out. (I hate when to say something is happening and then you get to the place and it doesn't happen - kind of make you feel like you're crazy). But Angelo say no problem and figured it must be the new head unit overloading the amp and the unit may be shutting down to cool of and then kicking back on. Because we couldn't figure out what was happening and yes the subwoofer was still pumping at this time - a while damn hour.. so I left to go to get some cash out of the ATM and guess what... the damn subwoofer went out!!! I ran my ass back over to Custom so he can see what was happening. He checked the subwoofer and amp connections and found that it had a short in the amp and Instead of telling me to purchase a new amp he realize he could make something to hold the connection in place until such time I decide to invest in another amp. Talk about honesty. I assume he was going to tell me to buy a new amp or try to sell me one. The best part was that I tried to give him a tip for locating the issue and not trying to sell me a new amp and making something to hold the connection in place. But the best part was I wanted to give him a $20 tip and practically beg him to take the money but he WOULDN'T take any money and told me it was no problem. I WILL DEFINITELY HAVE THIS SHOP WORK ON ANY ELECTRONIC INSTALLS I HAVE FOR ANY OF MY 4 VEHICLES. It's really hard to find anyone that won't overcharge you in this industry and or try to get over and make you buy something you don't really need. Angelo thanks again for everything!! read more
