Regarding the people complaining about medical vs vision insurance, it really depends on what you're being seen for. Sometimes eye doctors bill medical insurance (like when I had pink eye), and sometimes it's vision insurance (like when I went to have my vision checked and contacts fitted). If you have one or both of those types of insurance, simply check with them before your appt, so you know what to expect and how much it will cost you. Leaving a bad review about this type of thing solves nothing. My only complaint with this office is that they really take their time. What took 10 minutes at Americas Best (now there is a TRULY AWFUL office!!) takes an hour and a half here. The appointments could definitely be shorter if they did their work a little more efficiently. An appointment of this type should really take about 45 minutes to no more than an hour. Anyway, I hope more people will take the time to leave a positive review for this quality eye care practice. It's such a shame that nowadays, most people only bother to leave a rating or review if they are angry about something.

If you live in this area and you need a full doctor medical exam, this is the office you want to go to. Between Dr. Harry Halscheid and his knowledgeable & friendly staff (hi Pam & Debbie), I have been well taken care of for all this time. I have had a long history of issues with my eyes, and was always cautioned to pay attention whenever or if I see bright flashing lights. Thankfully, I didn't travel this Thanksgiving weekend, and I was able to get Dr Reto's attention right away when I was seeing something not right. Through a series of phone calls and text messages we concluded I likely had a retinal tear or detachment. Dr. Reto came in on a Sunday morning after Thanksgiving, and drew his conclusion of a retina tear and put me in touch with an on call retina surgeon (Dr. Saran). Two top notch (no interns here) on call doctors on a Sunday! This tag team surely prevented me from potentially getting a detachment and / or losing the vision in my left eye! I can't thank them enough.

The urgent care had provided me with antibiotics and the doctor was upset I couldn't remember the name of the antibiotic. Wouldn't return or recommend this place to anyone. Dr. Yannelli is extremely professional, smart and friendly. Her staff are also very pleasant and the office itself is cute with a good selection of eyeglass frames. They are very honest. No one tried to pressure me into pricey frames and they gladly offered to give me my written prescription in case I wanted to shop elsewhere for frames or contact lenses (I bought both through them but just the fact they willingly offered the prescription showed their honesty). My two kids and I had routine eye exams and we ordered new frames and lenses and two of us ordered contact lenses. Everything went great and we got exactly what we wanted. During another visit, Dr. Yannelli took care of my eye infection and everything turned out great. We are getting ready to return since my youngest wants contacts and I have no doubt they'll get him the right lenses for a fair price. I can't say enough good things about this practice!
