Our cat was declining in health. We were able to meet e vet snd drop off for care. When we picked up the cat the vet was not present. We had yo request someone to go over the chart with us. This was in no November. I called yesterday for help. Again very snarky. I was actually referred to go see a vet at a animal hospital to assist in s passing. No referral names were given. We found a new vet. Thank goodness.

I spoke with Tara who took all the information about the kitten and said she would have to check to see if any one could see her. She would call me back. As afternoon approached and No Phone Call I decided to call back. The person answering the phone informed me Tara was out to lunch but she would let her know that I had called. Well needless to say I never received a phone call. Even to say "Sorry we cant see the kitten". Now I ask you, is this any way to run a business let alone a veterinary clinic. This certainly made me think about whether I want my rescue and my personal pets to continue going there.

When we picked him up they said he "bumped" his head on a piece of wood on the obstacle course and he had a small scratch, but they cleaned it up and said he was fine. We didn't think anything of it, unfortunately assuming they were caring dog lovers like our family and friends. Fred has long, thick black fur so it wasn't obvious to us right away as we were literally dealing with the aftermath of cleaning out our basement from 18 inches of water. A day and a half later we realized Fred was very sensitive to any touching of his head. We immediately took him in to the vet. We were then told by Eastman Animal Hospital that there was no way he bummed his head on wood and that this was from a piece of sheet metal or a large screw. They also informed us that Fred should have been taken to the vet that same day and gotten stitched up. Since it was beyond 24 hours it was too late for stitches and we were in for a long healing process. At this time we went back to Dog Haven and told them what we had found out about Fred. We simply requested payment for the vet bill or a refund for Fred's stay with them. Their response was more astounding than their initial down play of the injury to begin with. The owner said they would refund nothing or help with the cost of Fred's vet bill and proceeded to tell me that I was negligent for not taking Fred to the vet that day with complete arrogance. We have been steadily watching over Fred to ensure he heals properly but when we were told a long healing process we had no idea just how long it would be. We are now 5 weeks from the initial "bump" and we're told he needs surgery. This isn't about the money, this is our dog who is a loving part of our family. Please share this post with your family and friends to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else's dog!

My puppy Arthur has been having seizures for a little over a week. I originally went to the vet in…read moreBridgeport who told me to just monitor my puppy. After that, he had two more seizures. I took Arthur into Dr. Reslers office (who brought him in the same day I called) and him and his staff were extremely concerned and did everything they could to help. They prescribed him medicine to help with the seizures instead of just "monitoring" him. Arthur has not had a seizure since then. I also have to mention that they all treated my baby extremely well and he loved them so much!
