I recently took a pair of ladies unlined dress pants to Em's to be shortened and re-hemmed. I…read morebought the pants, which were fairly expensive, to wear to my granddaughter's wedding and needed them back in a couple of weeks. The original hem in the pants was a blind stitch which every professional seamstress or tailor would agree is the appropriate hem for this type of pants. Em's was prompt in getting the pants back to me but she hemmed them on a sewing machine with a straight stitch and one leg was 1/2" shorter than the other. There was even double stitching in one area on the outside of the leg, very visible. I will not use her again. I took the pants to a professional alteration shop in town to be reworked with the proper blind stitch, they are charging me $15 vs Em's price of $25. Lesson learned!

I reached out to the owner and was told that is what I asked for and that is how she pinned the dress. She never pinned the dress on the side we never asked for it to be taken it since the dress already fix perfect. Owner would not make right by her mistake and we were forced to buy another dress for her dance.
