I found Dave of Custom Cabinet Refacing on Yelp. I knew that was a gamble, but I hit the jackpot. Dave was so reliable. He responded quickly to any of my emails, showed up on time, cleaned up after himself, & was nice to work with. He had a great selection of products to choose from & offered expert options when I asked. My kitchen looks so refreshed. The soft close doors & drawers are great. I would recommend Dave anytime. read more

Dave did a really stellar job of refacing my kitchen cabinets. I went from 2003 style maple-colored cabinets with an outdated beveled curve to lovely white shaker style, with new hinges. I kept the original cabinet frame since this was in good shape. Dave did an amazing job; he showed up on time and worked conscientiously. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat for any kind of cabinetry work. Thanks Dave! read more

We feel fortunate to have found Dave, who did a beautiful job refacing our cabinets AND saved us at least half the cost of replacing them. We could not have been happier working with Dave, from initial contact, to completion. His many five star ratings are well-deserved. He is not only meticulous, but also patient and helpful with indecisive clients. He is somewhat shy, so don't expect any marketing hype, just someone who will exceed your expectations. read more

We have been looking to get our kitchen cabinets refaced and found this on yelp. Unfortunately we went along with the reviews and contacted Dave for a quote. He gave us a number that was $$$$. When we asked, it's more than the ballpark that we generally received the quotes in, he mailed back saying,"why don't you hire those guys?". We were so surprised at this rude behavior and decided not to go back to this firm ever. If Dave is so rude before we have any contract, I can only imagine how he is going to behave when he has our money. I will not recommend this firm. Not sure if yelp reviews about him are even genuine. read more

Well, I don't really know if its possible to say enough nice things about 1 person and a job well done. I hired Dave after I found him on Angies list for a Kitchen Cabinet Reface job. He was so easy to work with and even gave estimates via email after we sent him pictures. He was very reasonably priced. We had, had a few other people including Home Depot out to our house for estimates before we found Dave, and boy were they over priced! I am so very glad we did not hire them. Dave did a amazing job and in record time. He refaced my entire kitchen in only 4 days. That is pretty much unheard of! He was prompt and efficient and very clean. Every day he cleaned up after himself and made my house livable while this construction was going on. I am so very grateful I found him and absolutely love my new kitchen! He took our old nasty oak kitchen cabinets and refaced with beautiful new material and now our kitchen is modern and beautiful. I am overjoyed and will refer him to everyone. He is prompt, professional and a true craftsmen. Even my husband was highly impressed and said he is "the best at what he does." Dave may not be a big talker (kind of quiet) but is an amazing craftsmen and we are so happy with our kitchen and his work. 5 stars from me!!! And, if you read my other reviews, I don't give those easily. I highly recommend everyone using Dave, trust me there is no one better then him. Thank you Dave, hope your reading this. read more

Dave did an amazing job from the start to finish which involved taking accurate measurements and bringing over ample samples to choose from, working out timing schedule for installation. The day of installation, Dave was prepared with all his tools and materials and finished the job in 1 day without taking a break and gave us an amazing finished look with great quality and precision. We were completely satisfied with the finish and look. Dave also cleaned up after the work and made sure the place was clean and tidy. Dave is also very friendly and a true professional. Dave is simply amazing! He just refaced our tired 65 year old, 96 inch bathroom cabinet and the finished product looks completely new. He even rebuild the seven drawers and they glide with ease. Highly, highly recommend Dave if you are seeking a truly qualified artisan to reface your cabinets. read more

Dave was one of only a few doing cabinet refacing (just replacing doors) in SF. He was easy to work with. He showed up on-time, gave me a clear estimate and completed the work on time and on budget. He even had a mistake in the order and left me with an extra door at no charge. I can't say enough about how great the kitchen looks and how much money and time I saved by just doing the doors instead of replacing the boxes. Before starting a project, I always read people's reviews before hiring anyone to tackle my project. I found Dave through yelp. He refaced my entire kitchen including my pantry. My husband and I were very pleased with the outcome of our kitchen project from start to finish. Dave is very professional, he comes on time everyday and cleaned everything by the time he leaves. He did an amazing job, he replied to my email constantly if I have any questions. My kitchen is beautiful and I received so many complements from friends and family. I highly recommend Dave, although he doesn't say much, he gets the work done. read more

Dave is an artist at his craft and it is such a pleasure to work with and honor to have him working on a project! Dave re-did my kitchen cabinets and they look beautiful! I enjoyed every step of the process working with Dave, from identification of the scope of work, materials selection, and installation. Dave was the best! For example, when some of the refacing materials sent from the custom materials company came, Dave was not satisfied with the stain that they had done on two of the pieces. He conferred with me and then sent them back to be re-done. I really appreciated this attention to excellence! Dave is 100% punctual, which is so wonderful, in a world where so many contractors do not keep their appointment times. Dave is a great person to know, just as a person! I highly recommend him! read more

Dave did a fantastic job for us! He is very professional, very responsive on emails, and always on time. We would highly recommend him!

Dave refaced our bathroom cabinets after the original cabinet paint job was ruined by a unethical painter (painted water-based paint over oil - based paint without proper prep). Refacing was almost cheaper than having the paint removed and fixed and the result is much much nicer. Great quality and it looks fab! read more

Dave did a fabulous job on my kitchen cabinets. They are stunning. He does really excellent work with lots of attention to detail. and he saved me $4,000 off what it would have cost to replace my cabinets. my boxes were still good, so he put all new doors and drawers in, added a new cabinet for me where I had extra space, installed new trim, new hardware, and now it looks just beautiful. Dave was great. He communicated well, gave an appropriate estimate, was always timely and the work was complete in one day. He was very considerate and professional the whole time. He was refronting our cabinets for sale of our condo, but it was so beautiful when done that I wish we had had him do it long before we moved. Thanks, Dave! read more

Dave refaced our kitchen cabinet doors and did a great job! He first provided a soft quote based on photos of our kitchen, and then came out for a detailed measurement and sent us a hard quote. He is very good about responding by email, is prompt, trustworthy, clean and neat. So glad we went with an experienced professional--we chose Shaker style cabinet doors with straight corners, but he pointed out that we would probably have problems with the hinge side of the corner cabinet interfering with the adjacent cabinet unless the edges were slightly rounded. Good catch, and we never could have anticipated that problem. He replaced the drawers with new soft-close boxes that are roomier and sturdier than the old ones. He made some other suggestions that were also very helpful. Go with a skilled professional--we're glad we did! read more

After all the house projects we have had done throughout the years, I'd have to say that the work done by Dave of Custom Cabinet Refacing is my absolute favorite. Custom Cabinet Refacing was recommended to me by a friend that had recently had their kitchen cabinets refaced. We requested an initial quote and were pleased that Dave, the owner, got back to us right away. He came out the following Saturday to talk to us about our project. Dave was so efficient - he took measurements that same day and we were able to get started as soon as our materials arrived. During the 4 days he worked on our project, Dave was always on time, trustworthy, and cleaned up each day. Dave transformed our old-fashioned cabinets into something that made our kitchen look brand new, and at an affordable price! We absolutely love it! read more

I learned of Dave from a friend who had just used his services. I had a first hand view of his work and did not feel the need to look elsewhere. He delivered exactly as I hoped. He even moved me up in the schedule to accommodate my wishes. I get nothing but compliments on my refaced cabinets. High quality. Dave was also impeccable with his clean up and even dropped off some touch up paint for me. Another variable: highly competitive pricing. I recommend him highly. read more

We are in Hayward and had our large kitchen refaced with cherry wood/veneer. Dave gave a competitive quote, and we chose him based on his good quote and good reviews. He ordered the materials and scheduled the install job about 8 weeks out. He had the materials and started the job as scheduled. Dave worked alone on our job, and did the whole large kitchen in 6 days. He worked long hours and we saw significant progress every day he was here. The end result looks great. He was considerate about keeping the kitchen wrapped in plastic and minimizing dust outside of the work area, etc. He hauled away all of the old cabinet parts and trash when he was done. Just before Dave started, we had a general contractor install a granite countertop with support legs. The General Contractor had done a poor job (cosmetically), and the legs did not look good. Dave said he did not want 'his good name' sullied by the poor work our contractor had done, and worked with the contractor to correct it and then veneered over it to make it look OK and match the rest . (Dave did this at no charge even though it meant he would run out of materials and have to order more and come back to finish up a couple of spots...). Dave is a professional, takes pride in his work, and does a good job. His prices are competitive. I recommend Dave without any hesitation. read more

Dave is a homeowner's dream when it comes to hiring a specialist- he does the best quality work, on time, on budget, keeps you informed of delivery dates and details you might need to plan for, and is incredibly efficient. I was doing some major renovations to my house (new floors, appliances, paint, countertops, etc) and I wanted all of my cabinets refaced (kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry room, and storage area). Dave quoted me an excellent price and was kind enough to work around all the other craziness going on in my house. And can I just say that his work is stunning? Not only are my cabinets beautiful, but the doors and hardware are perfectly aligned, and I mean perfectly. I love them. When my house painters were here, they even commented on the high quality paint job done on my cabinet boxes. They said they did cabinet refacing as well, but that their painting technique was not nearly as good as what Dave did for my cabinets. They really look brand new and are my favorite part of my overall renovation- this was the best money I spent, and the best specialist choice I made. I highly recommend Dave for your cabinet work- he will exceed your expectations. read more
