Measurements were way off. Two extra boxes of flooring and ~40 feet of 1/4 round. When asked about what to do with the 2 boxes of flooring (that we paid for), was told "you can sell it on eBay". Really? Then there was the installation crew. No one spoke English so any questions I had resulted in blank stares. These were not W-2 employees but sub-contractors. This crew stained the 1/4 round us and it wasn't even close to matching the new flooring. And then there was the damage to the new flooring during installation. The large staple gun that was used to "nail" the flooring was placed dozens of times on the previously installed flooring leaving nail head size indentations across the entire floor. And then there was the "customer service". Made appointment with Ackerman (the owner?) to inspect the damage and he never showed up, he didn't call, text, or email that he was going to make it. During one of numerous calls, asked Jessica to have Ackerman call us. She emailed me that she couldn't get him to talk to us. But to be honest, full discloser: 2nd Street is giving us $40 for the 1/4 round. Bottom-line: we will never use 2nd Street again and will never recommend them to anyone.

After an initial walk through Dwayne Hall was able to provide a fair estimate and when we showed up at the showroom to consider our options we were very impressed with how he recalled the spaces in our home and was able to help us make the best choices for our flooring. Not only did Mr. Hall's team replace damaged tile in our bathroom without us having to replace all the tile, they did a fantastic job laying tile in our kitchen, guest bath and pre-finished wood flooring in our living room, master bedroom and dining room. We chose a decorative tile in our kitchen which has been placed with precision against the solid tile. It makes a lovely pattern that is not too busy. We stayed with laminate in our master closet and that too was perfectly placed. Williamsburg Flooring does it all!!! We weren't trying to be quiet because we'd hoped someone would eventually notice us. When someone finally did notice, he sat us down and tried to schedule a walkthrough of where we'd need the floor. When we told him we just wanted advice on floor options, he insisted they needed to come to our house with a group of people to check it out first no matter what. We explained we didn't need that, but he kept insisting he needed to visit our home. We didn't appreciate how pushy he was and how unheard we felt so we left.
