A very sweet employee asked what we needed, retrieved the blouses, and we were checked out and on our way. It literally took about 10 minutes. The store itself is dated and feels a little dingy inside, but the employees were all helpful and efficient, and they actually carry my daughter's uniforms. They're much closer to our home than the shop I've been using for years, so for convenience sake, I'll probably return to Schumacher's in the future for uniform needs. A truly great find.

I had purchased the original item using a coupon and expected this to be a straightforward size exchange. Instead, I was immediately accused of trying to reuse a coupon, even though I was only asking for a different size of the exact same item. Because your system apparently could not charge me the small $2 price difference, the manager chose to process a refund and then have me repurchase the item. This resulted in me paying an additional $20, which was frustrating enough on its own. What made the experience much worse was the manager's behavior. Rather than calmly explaining the situation, she became loud and argumentative in front of other customers. Her tone drew unnecessary attention, and I felt embarrassed as people began looking over to see what was happening. I am a quiet person and do not like being the center of attention, so this was especially uncomfortable. It felt as though the manager was irritated that I had interrupted her lunch, and that frustration was taken out on me. There was no reason for such a simple interaction to escalate into a public confrontation. I understand that employees must follow store policies and system limitations, but customers should still be treated with respect and professionalism. I hope this incident is addressed so that other customers are not made to feel as embarrassed and disrespected as I was.
