*surgery day review*…read more To start I want to say that I scrutinize every organization I write about. Please know that my scrutiny is not to be mean but to make sure I'm providing an honest and well written review. This establishment is pretty amazing--that is an understatement actually. We arrived the morning on time for a 9am appointment. My son was brought back promptly and the pre surgery set up began immediately. My son (who was the patient) stated that doctor and the tech were incredibly nice, professional and treated him with patience. While I sat in the lobby the tech Heather came out, said everything is all set and ready to go, then went back to the room. That small peace of mind was reassuring. While waiting the hour it took for the 4 wisdom teeth extraction I drank coffee provided in the lobby Keurig. The only downfall and it is a slight one, is that I carried my coffee trash with me because I could not find a trash can, even a small one. My son asked to keep his teeth and he was able to keep the ones that did not break in the extraction process. When the removal was over I was brought back to the recovery room and Heather did a fantastic job going over the procedures for the next couple days. I won't lie I didn't remember a lot because there was just so many dos, don'ts, make sure you don't forget, sleep this way, don't sleep that way etc. When my son stood up Heather had him grab her arm and she patiently waited for him to get all the way up, had him take a deep breath and then started walking slowly. My son held onto Heathers arm as she held onto the loop of his pants (with his permission of course) and they slooooowly walked to the car. When they got outside Heather asked my son to stand for a moment and take a deep breath in to make sure he was able to acclimate to the outside and still being a little weird from anesthesia. Heather walked him all the way to the car, she is absolutely amazing and I mean that 107%! That evening the office called to check on my son before they closed. The office was closed on Wednesday and when they reopened on Thursday I called with questions. The staff was so sweet answering the pieces of info I forgot from the day of the removal. A couple days go by and I have more questions and a concern on Friday. An appt was made for my son to come and see the doctor for a quick check up, he was reassured that he was healing well and all looked good. One week post surgery, I called with another slight concern, Heather answered and we both laughed because I was calling AGAIN however she was incredibly kind with her answers. I will recommend this oral surgeon and staff again and again and again. Don't take my word for it, get a consult yourself when you are in need.

I had a major emergency procedure done with 4 wisdom teeth to be removed as well as 5 impacted molars and Dr Byrnside and her staff were better than I could've hoped for. I was very nervous going in but the procedure was quick they accommodated scheduling, reassured me throughout the process and even followed up and helped through the recovery process. Assistant Corra and Tracy at the front were both very caring and made the experience much easier and less stressful. 10/10

Visiting this place feels like going to a family reunion or visiting "Cheers" where everyone knows…read moreyour name. The staff is incredibly friendly, and Dr. Tim is brilliant; he performed an implant for me, and it was fantastic. I have been a patient there for several years and have consistently received excellent service.

UPDATE -- October 7, 2026 Dr. Perez has responded publicly…read moreto my review, and I believe several points deserve clarification. Most importantly, he acknowledges that the three $35 bills I received in June, July, and August 2026 were sent "in error." That is precisely the billing problem I described. But this was not the only time. There were several billing discrepancies, including one bill showing that I owed $423 when my insurance records and EOBs showed that I owed only $20. He explains that coordinating two insurance companies can take 6-9 months. I understand that insurance billing can be complicated. However, that explanation does not describe what happened in this particular case. The procedure was performed in February 2026. Both insurance claims were processed in March, and the EOBs showed that I owed $0. I nevertheless received three $35 bills in June, July, and August. I returned the first bill with an explanation, called after the third bill, was told I would receive a call the next day, and received no call. I called again a week later and left another message. Several days later, when the office called regarding an appointment, I asked to speak with the bookkeeper. I was asked to provide documentation of the insurance payments. I explained that I believed the office should have that information. In frustration, I joked, "If you want me to be your bookkeeper, I'll take care of it. Hire me as your bookkeeper." I was told they would take care of it. Five minutes later, Dr. Perez called me. I expected an explanation or apology for the difficulty I had experienced tracking the billing and getting my calls returned. Instead, he told me to find another dentist. He told me that I didn't understand insurance and that the discrepancies were only a few dollars here and there. He did not address the specific discrepancies I had raised. Dr. Perez also says that I insulted his wife, Iliana. I did not question her intelligence or call her "dumb." I was frustrated after repeatedly trying to get the billing problem resolved and not receiving responses to my calls and messages. I also did not send "frantic voicemails" demanding a response on Friday night or Saturday. My calls were made during the office's regular business hours. I also find it noteworthy that, rather than limiting his response to the billing issue, Dr. Perez has made a number of personal comments about me in his emails, including references to my age, my "unique personality," my "less than warm attitude," calling me "petty," and, most recently, calling me "an overall awful person." He also emailed my wife offering "condolences for what you have to deal with at home." Those comments have nothing to do with whether the bills were accurate. I have never said that filing two insurance claims is easy. My point is that I repeatedly received bills that I could not reconcile with my insurance EOBs and had considerable difficulty getting those discrepancies addressed. In my years of receiving dental care from other providers, I have never experienced this kind of recurring billing problem. I have now chosen another dentist, and I expect my future dental care to be different. I stand by my original review. It describes my personal experience and is supported by the bills and insurance EOBs I have retained.

I admit, I have not been to any dentist in some time. I came here on an emergency visit Tuesday…read moreafternoon based on Yelp reviews alone. Yelp was right, this place is stellar. I have been terrified of the dentist for some time. Kind of like the car dealership, you have a go-between who talks billing and insurance with you away from the nurse and dentist. It's discrete and comfortable without pressure. My nurse (dental hygienist) was Susan? Or Sandy? God she was an angel. She was so kind to me breaking down and upset and in pain. She made me feel so comfortable talking about stuff and offering anything I might need. My dentist was Dr Taylor who was incredibly knowledgeable and proficient. I got out what needed to come out and I even scheduled an appointment for regular maintenance later this month. I was made comfortable to be there, whether I needed nitrous or a valium, either are available. And they make sure you are physically comfortable with numbing. Mentally comfortable is hard, but true kindness shines through in the folks who work there. I got a kids "reward" (shark plushie) to hold while I had my procedure. When I left I got a "goodie bag" with full instructions on what I had done, extra gauze, and an emergency card. It's a little hinky getting in with the road construction on witchduck road. But soon as your turn on Grayson, by the church, it's there. There's an employee entrance on the witchduck side and another saying Ste 200 on the side, even though the dentist is Ste 100, this is the door you go in.
