Over the last five years, I have been billed incorrectly several times. Each time required considerable effort on my part to compare the office bills with my insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), provide documentation, and explain why I believed the bills were incorrect. I often had to make multiple calls and leave voicemails that were not returned. I found the lack of communication and follow-through very frustrating. The most recent incident was the worst. A service was performed in February 2026, and my insurance processed the claim in March, showing that I owed $0. Despite this, I received three bills from the Perez office in June, July, and August for $35. I returned the first bill with an explanation of the discrepancy and received no response. I did not respond to the second bill, hoping the bookkeeping would catch up. It didn't. After the third bill, I called the office and explained the situation. I was told it would be investigated and that I would receive a call the next day. I didn't. I called again a week later and left another message. No return call. Several days later, when the office called regarding an appointment, I asked to speak with the bookkeeper. I was asked to provide documentation of the insurance payments. I explained that I believed the office should have that information. In frustration, I joked, "If you want me to be your bookkeeper, I'll take care of it. Hire me as your bookkeeper." I was told they would take care of it. Five minutes later, Dr. Perez called and told me to find another dentist. He told me that I didn't understand insurance and that the discrepancies were only a few dollars here and there. He did not address the specific discrepancies I had raised. This was the third significant billing problem in five years that I had to correct, in addition to other occasions when bills did not reflect insurance payments or adjustments. On one occasion, I received a bill showing that I owed $513 when my records showed that I owed only $123. I have spent many hours reconciling these bills with my insurance EOBs. My advice to patients is simple: carefully compare your dental bills with your insurance EOBs before paying. I'm glad I did.

I have been terrified of the dentist for some time. Kind of like the car dealership, you have a go-between who talks billing and insurance with you away from the nurse and dentist. It's discrete and comfortable without pressure. My nurse (dental hygienist) was Susan? Or Sandy? God she was an angel. She was so kind to me breaking down and upset and in pain. She made me feel so comfortable talking about stuff and offering anything I might need. My dentist was Dr Taylor who was incredibly knowledgeable and proficient. I got out what needed to come out and I even scheduled an appointment for regular maintenance later this month. I was made comfortable to be there, whether I needed nitrous or a valium, either are available. And they make sure you are physically comfortable with numbing. Mentally comfortable is hard, but true kindness shines through in the folks who work there. I got a kids "reward" (shark plushie) to hold while I had my procedure. When I left I got a "goodie bag" with full instructions on what I had done, extra gauze, and an emergency card. It's a little hinky getting in with the road construction on witchduck road. But soon as your turn on Grayson, by the church, it's there. There's an employee entrance on the witchduck side and another saying Ste 200 on the side, even though the dentist is Ste 100, this is the door you go in.

They could've thrown many different options ($$) but they chose to do the most effective method per money value. I've had filling removal & re-fills done, and I expressed my fear & anxiety to Dr. Santos, and she was so calm and patient with me during the entire procedure. That first experience I had with her made me feel totally comfortable and I trust her completely with my teeth. I think they do offer a lot of options, and some people are put off by that, but I'm gonna tell you- I bought that expensive Bluetooth toothbrush they offered me, and while the Bluetooth part is whatever (IMHO), my teeth have never felt better and my hygienist notices a difference in my teeth (which I totally believe!). My teeth feel like I just got a cleaning every single time I brush with it (which is nightly). Dr. Santos also suggested I get a soft night guard, and while my insurance doesn't cover that, I saved my pennies and got fitted for it. In summary, I do feel as though this dentistry has my teeth in their best interest, and I would recommend anyone going here! If you've had bad experiences at the dentist, be honest with them about it and I think they'll baby you like they baby me. We need it!

I received a call two days before my scheduled dental appointment, asking the same questions I had…read morebeen asked when I initially scheduled it weeks ago. I have several dental issues that need attention, including a crown adjustment. During the discussion, I was informed that the dentist would charge me the full amount for adjusting my crown, as if it were a new one. I was told the dentist would need to remove my crown. You do not need to remove a crown to do an adjustment. A new crown is 1,500- 2,000 dollars so that amount for an adjustment is outrageous!!! They highly recommended that I visit the dentist who had placed the crown on me. This was the first time I had ever heard such a recommendation. I believe that whoever scheduled the appointments should have informed me or the office well in advance, at least more than two days before the appointment.
