I grew up at Cushing my parents both worked there for 30 plus years so I lived on Cushing grounds. I used to wheel the patients to Sunday mass with my dad when I was young . I'm happy with what was done on the grounds I feel peace as I walk through memories of my childhood. It's a great area for lots of stuff for everyone to share. Especially the church . read more

Randomly drove by and explored this park -- excellent for walking/jogging/biking, looks immaculately maintained, very peaceful and open - highly recommend if you're looking for mostly a walking path-type park (I didn't see tennis courts etc) read more

Great place to relax or run or just have a walk around. The total round trip of this park is 1.3 miles. One can bring their dogs too, it's a great place for socializing with other pet owners. I found that this place is hardly ever crowded and hence a lot of parking is naturally available. Recommend for runners! read more

Really great park! Went here to enjoy a bagel sandwich and take a walk in the sun on a beautiful day! It is well maintained, so pretty clean and peaceful. The tree memorial for the 9/11 victims from the area was beautiful and a nice way to honor those folks in the community. There is alot of open grassy area to sit or play - a few benches along the trail, and a handful of picnic tables. If you want to sit out though, you probably want to bring your own chair. The walk was nice - very flat area without really any hills and the trail is paved, well defined, has mile markers, and is wide. It's a little over a mile, so if you're short on time you can get a quick walk in otherwise you can do a few laps to get in extra mileage! I did see there was a little playground area as well and a gazebo! There was actually a small ceremony happening when I was there. Another sweet thing to note, there is a senior living home on the trail, so it was lovely to see some elderly people out getting sunshine and enjoying the park too! Definitely recommend checking it out if you want to get outside and have a nice place to go! read more

One of the hidden gems of Framingham. A 1.4 mile paved walking trail, designated no biking/skating paths, A kids play area, lots of memorial trees, benches and gazebos for sitting, landscapes gardens. The people there are great. All dogs leashes. No visible poop. In this era of Covid, everyone has a mask on. People are just generally respectful and friendly here. They actually plow the walking trails in the winter. read more

Walk, run, bike, skate, scooter - you can do all of these here. This beautiful 1.5 mile loop has entrances off of Dudley Road and Winter Street. We park in the parking lot near the Cushing Memorial Chapel. There is a "Start" marker located near the chapel and at a 1/2, 1/2, 3/4 points along the outer loop. The inter loop is a mile. There is a small playground with swings, water bubbler and portapotty at one end. There are a few spots along the paved trail with doggie bags and trash barrels. The Town Parks & Recreation Department maintains this park and it is very clean and safe. The Barbieri School is adjacent to the park and offers a larger play structure but leased dogs are only allowed at the park and not on school property. I've driven by this walking path a number of times and always thought it was a private community as I've people go by. Well, now I am one of those walkers! read more

Beautiful and peaceful public park. It's very close to my apartment in Natick but I can't believe I never went here. I went here recently and saw some really beautiful fall colors! It was around Halloween so they had some activities for kids and the kids were definitely having lot of fun! I also saw a cute mini-library ( www.littlefreelibrary.org ) that allows people to pick a book and return it at the same place all by themselves. Loved the concept! Check the picture of the little library. Parking lot is not TOO big but decent for a normal day. I guess it must be tough to find a spot in summer. read more

Cushing Memorial Park is a fantastic spot to bring your children. There is a vast amount of grass to run around and they have an amazing playground for the little ones to run around and explore. I can't wait until this pandemic is over and my son can go up and down the slides and swing on the swingset. Definitely plan a fun family day and have a picnic once the weather is warm. read more

The Parks & Rec department did a fantastic job designing and building this playground. The layout and structures are whimsical and unusual. My favorite aspect are the musical instruments. Its virtually impossible to make a bad note on the chimes. There's bridge you can go over or under that was built into the natural landscape of the park. The springy, rubbery ground softens the inevitable tumbles on the playground. There is a veggie/ fruit garden adjacent to the brick building beside the park. It's meant for the public to eat and enjoy. I might have missed this feature had the Parks & Rec manager not mentioned to me and my family at concert on the common last year. Its a great way to introduce plants and gardening to little ones. I hope they can expand the playground over time as it can get pretty crowded between 11-2. Then I'd give it 5 stars. read more

I have all the thanks to give to this park for my spring/summer training for surviving the Inca trail in Peru. The park is a summer haven for walkers, rollerbladers, bikers, runners, players alike. The roads are immaculately paved and wide enough to accommodate for all sorts of activities without bumping into one another. The trees and benches are spread out through the park - great for people watching or just catching breathe after a workout session. There is also a mini playground for kids and nothing stops them from cycling their way at maximum speed. There is always plenty of parking even when the park tend to get quite popular on nights and weekends. For the runners: Slightly over 2k for one big loop around the park, it is also relatively flat, great for easy endurance runs. The only negative side is that it only has one portable bathroom which can get quite dirty. read more

I work with free family programs led by the Appalachian Mountain Club at this park, and I'm here almost every week! Cushing Memorial Park is great for walking or biking, and offers easy access for strollers and wheelchairs. This rectangular park offers a paved 1.5 mile walkway around the perimeter, and its even plowed in the winter! There are several picnic areas, a preschool playground for tykes and a school playground for older children that you can access from the park. Whenever I am here, I see many people out enjoying the park. There is always plenty of parking on Dudley at the entrance and also on the north end. You may want to visit the bathroom before you visit; there is just one port-a-potty at the park. Also, bring water because there are no public water fountains. read more

We wanted to get out of the house without having to spend a lot. We decided to look for a different park than normal. Well I saw reviews here and they live up what is said. Just outside downtown Framingham next to Barberi school. Not only an extensive play area but also walking area. There is at least one square Gazebo. You can see plenty of park benches too. This park allows bikes also Dogs on leases. There is plenty grass if you want to kick a ball around. If you can call any park a hidden gem this is it. We will definitely be going back as a family. ** Note ** Do not confuse this with the park across the street from it and this park is also set back a little. read more

Excellent public park! We go to take the kids for a bike ride, long walks, there is a beautiful playground. It has such a peaceful atmosphere, and you are only minutes from downtown Framingham. It's a great local spot! For anyone curious, They do not allow parties- no tables, but a picnic blanket is totally fine. read more

This park is absolutely beautiful and I think the best I've been to in the metro west area. The path around the park is a perfect mile so it's great for runners who want to get a few measured miles in. Dogs are also welcome and you see a lot walking around. They have the dog waste bags available at little stations around the park too. There is a newly added children's grove that opened in 2016 I think. There are swings, climbing frames and interactive tubular bells that the kids can bash with sticks to make 'music' haha. There is also a really nice chapel on site that I've yet to go in but you occasionally see services taking place there. Other things of interest is the war memorial, 911 memorial, numerous bird houses and an informational section where you can read about the history of the location on big boards. And be sure to visit in Spring or Summer and check out the beautiful blossom trees and well maintained colorful flower beds. You will not find a nicer park! read more

Love love love it here! My husband and I discovered Cushing Memorial Park last year and would come often to have picnics and go for walks. Now that we have a puppy, it's a great spot to socialize a puppy (there are many other dogs and people walking around) and walk a puppy/dog; no worries if you forgot your poop bags because there are several stations around the walkways of complimentary poop bags and trash containers. There is plenty of paved walk trails, which I think loops around to a little more than a mile. There is no public restroom in the park, but there is a portapotty if you really need it. Parking is free. read more

Love this wonderful park in Framingham. Great for bicycles, runners, strollers, and walkers. I took my son here every weekend during the spring/summer when the weather was nice. The path provides many areas of shade as well. read more

Great place for an asphalt stroll. Always a good number people of there, walking, running, with kids on bikes, dogs, etc. Flat mostly wide paths, but with nice vistas, a good assortment of trees, and well-cared for. It would be great if the paths across the street were also developed a little/cared for too. Only thing that's missing is a cafe and weekend food trucks. read more

I love this park to ride my bike sometimes I bring my son great to see new playground my son can't wait for it to be done. This place is huge for any type of even I hope they make a concert there if it doesn't bother the elders that live there also great to have pic nick or a bbq. read more

Love walking through this park on a nice summer and/or fall day! I take my dog for a stroll here all the time. It's a nice one mile trail and the park provides doggie waste bags so there should be no excuse for not picking up your dog's poo! If I'm not with my dog, my fiancé and I will go for a nice jog around here, the scenery is very nice! There's also a big open field where I've seen wedding parties here take their photos! *POISONOUS PLANTS AND BEE HIVE AND SOILED DIAPER found 5 feet from the mushrooms and xylophone!!! This was discovered AFTER child ate a berry by accident as well as Mom getting stung. This was my favorite park and it is really awful that Parks and Rec cannot maintain this park. Very sad. read more

Love this park. Clean, well taken care of and more than enough parking. Outer loop is 1.25 miles. Inside loop is 1 mile. Great place to spend the day. You can also cross the street where there is a trail along Farm Pond. read more
