We have been here twice in the last week (during pandemic times)…read more Pros: - Separate Big Kid and Toddler Play Areas/Structures - Easy parking - 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, play area, baseball diamond, and big grass area Cons: - Often unsupervised children running amuck, while their Canada Goose-wearing entitled Moms are sitting on a bench gossiping about their lives and not paying attention at all to what their children are doing - Big Kids are often running rampant (especially true during the weekend) in the Little Kids/Toddler Play Areas If you have very little ones (toddlers, like I do), I'd recommend going during the week and not the weekend. The Big Kids who are unruly, entitled, and rude as hell will push the little ones around or rush and run around so quickly that they knock over the toddlers like bowling pins. Their parents will see and witness this going down and after each incident, will announce - "Well, it's time to go home." No apologies will ever be said or given, which honestly just says so much more about the parents than their kids. Kids are gonna be kids, but they're often reflective of their parents. ANYWAY - the play structure itself is decent. Go on a weekday, not weekend. Stay watchful of entitled Newtonian Moms.

It…read morehas a full size basketball and tennis court, a big grassy field for whatever you want to do on a big grassy field, a pretty big fenced-in play-scape with swings, climbing ropes, a tandem slide, pull up bars, and a lovely perimeter garden that's maintained by local volunteers. Today we saw kids playing tennis, toddlers and young children playing on the swings and climbing ropes, and a group of folks flinging a tennis ball in a long distance game of fetch, as their dog went tearing after the ball and returning it to be flung again. One nice feature we saw at the play-scape was a collection of park-owned child-sized wagons and vehicles for the toddlers to play with. We brought our grand-daughter over for a visit and she had a blast climbing, swinging, riding and watching the dog running around. All of us had a really nice visit.

We were on late afternoon weekday so not as busy or crowded as it would be on the weekend. The spray park has not opened yet (looks like will plan to open June 30). The good: I love the variety and amount of climbing structures and things to do in this playground. I love that this is universal (The Bay Area has a bunch of them and it's called Magical Playground- with plans to build them in each town). There is a free reservation system online for parking (max 2 hours) for weekends and holidays only. No Street or Neighborhood Parking is allowed. The bad: Because Mass is slow to add cool new universal parks, this one was hugely popular with the community that neighbors were complaining because there was not enough parking and people were overloading to resident parking. So hopefully there will be plans to add more parking. They have those built in shades but it is essentially useless because it doesn't cover everything. I wish there were more trees for natural shade. Because it was unbearable in the hot sun. We were sweating after 5 minutes. I can see it being very nice in the fall with cooler weather. 4 stars because this is an amazing playground but in the grueling summer heat, you could get a heat stroke so stay hydrated!

I think it's great for families and the community that somewhere like this playground exists for children who are unable to access traditional playgrounds. My sister said this spot gets busy on the weekends and requires a resident permit to park in their fairly sizable lot (though I can imagine how busy it would get). My nephew had a lovely time with the various slides & also the firetruck.

Upper (baseball and football) field was set in synthetic turf in 2011 - which solved age old wetness problem by allowing water run-off from two adjoining hills to sink below new field base (an ancient brook is culverted under both fields) - and large lights installed which are left on to 10:15 P.M. most of the year.
