At a store like this you can't just buy anything. A lot of their clothes are geared toward the youthful crowd and having words and saying on their clothes, but great pieces can be found if you have time to search and look through the merchandise. The prices are pretty cheap as well, so it's basically a win-win situation. At any given time there will be great sales going on with out of season clothes or clothes that haven't sold as quickly as others. The saleswomen are always friendly and greeting you at the door when you enter. You can find great deals on jewelry as well. There is usually a buy one get one 50% off on the jewelry. Once again you have to carefully separate the good stuff from the junk. They also have fragrances in front of the register that are 3 for $10. They are knock off of popular fragrances. Again, choosing wisely is the key. I found a great fragrance called Sexy Bomb I think is the knock off of a Victoria's Secret fragrance. It smells wonderful, you wouldn't know it was a low end fragrance. Checking out is always quick and easy unless there is a line of people waiting to check out as well. On a day of shopping, this is a perfect place to find deals and good pieces if you are in the mood to look, but if it's a shopping day you are usually in the mood to search and find bargains!!!!

My mother frequented this store often and I would accompany her in here to shop. She loved and still does love their merchandise. Fast forward years later. I found myself on the other end of the weight scale and in need of clothing for a more voluptuous figure. That's where Ashley Stewart came in for me. Offering me fashionable alternative to the straight size clothing. I like their selection of clothing and accessories. They use to have a more matronly look to their clothing but they have gained a more youthful flare. I love their accessories!!! They are bold, gaudy and on trend. The accessories are usually Buy One, Get One 50%. They have great sales when they do have a sale. But one thing that I can complain about is there online shop. I recently placed an order for 5 items, pants and tops. I got the package on time but on one of the pair of pants there were dark red stains all over them. I couldn't understand how someone who is packaging them could not see this. This infuriated me!!! Then on top of that they made me take pictures and send them to them, I guess they think I was lying or something. They sent me a return label for FedEx and I shipped them back to them. It took them a little while to respond and say they received them and that they gave me back a full refund. But a week or so later they did call me and make sure that the matter was settled. I appreciate them for taking the time out to check on me and make sure everything was resolved. Some businesses would leave you hanging and you would have to actually call them and inquire if everything was settled. Other than that problem I usually pleased with this store and its service.

Store layout: Primarily, the ladies r upstairs and men downstairs. There is an elevator in the back . I do like the escalator at the store in Atlanta but ...you can't have everything! LOL However, I was able to find some great shirts for my nephew(the main purpose for the mall shop that day). I also wanted to get him the camo joggers but they were sold out. The shirts are really fun and different than you find at some of the other shops. I picked up a henley , LosYorkNewAngeles, a couple other Ts and even a classic RUN-DMC T. Of course, being as this is an edgy, youth oriented place, the clothing can be fun, but fleeting.There aren't a lot of 'classics' in the selection, but all things considered, there is a lot of choice. Torrid carries everything from bras, panties, stockings and shoes, right on up to scarves, belts and other accessories. My finds in store are great, but if it's not in the store, the website will have it! Besides the clothes that actually fit, I love the changing rooms! They're spacious, well lit and they have fans to keep you cool! There are huge mirrors, better than adequate seating and helpful salespeople write your name on the door when you go in. I plan to keep going to a place that makes me feel this welcome.

If I wanted my funky and edgy curvy fashion I would have to do whatever it takes to have it. I love Torrid because they really have clothes that fit the curvy and plus body well. They aren't afraid to give us current trends while giving some edge. Shoes are offered in large sizes and widths. The employees I met at the grand opening were awesome even with the amount of people there. Every single woman shared in my excitement of their arrival. While there are other plus stores in the area, I can see myself at Torrid at least once a week. Thank you Torrid for coming to Augusta. I would have loved to add it to my closet but the price just wasn't right for me. My mother found a pair of camouflage pants that she has been wanting and searching for!!! It took years to find them but she did and at a great price too. I found a pearl necklace and earring set for $3.99. It matched perfectly with the outfit I had planned on wearing later that night for a night on the town.
