At the time, there were only two reviews, both negative (though I agree with Jaci on Sherri--that was obnoxious. Unless you intend to show, "what clubs do you belong to" is in my opinion an irritating question, and yes, AKF belongs to AKC if you're wondering.) Bob and Jaci have way too many dogs and they're up there in age. We went to visit the farm before we signed up for the litter, and there were dogs everywhere. But all dogs were insanely happy, wonderfully behaved sweethearts. There was a mama there with 5 week old puppies, and they looked happy and healthy. I gave a $100 deposit and Jaci gave me a slip. I took a picture of it--she did ask me to remind her of this two months later, and it's ok, there are many of me and only one Jaci in this case. There was some confusion in the email chain, but it got sorted out in no time. We picked up our little guy. I got home and wondered if I just completely misunderstand puppy anatomy, in time for a phone call. Turns out that Bob, while Jaci was away, gave me the wrong puppy, a girl he was supposed to prepare for another family. They arrived with Jaci later that day, and promptly realised the mistake. They apologised profusely and offered to drive down and replace my puppy. I said it's fine, I was in love with the little fur ball; the other family figured a boy would do as well. So that happened. I now have a beautiful wonderful one year old Berner who hasn't had a single health issue. I took out pet insurance for her, expecting Giardia and hernias and early onset hip dysplasia based on what I've read elsewhere, and nope- perfectly healthy and happy little Berner.

With very little instruction Shane went to work on them knowing just what to do. (Most groomers in my experience don't) He plucked and cleaned out ears, clipped face and paws and nails. Then bathed them with great coat protective and softening products. They look and smell so good! And they weren't stressed by being there. The facility is brand new and very clean. He only grooms one dog at a time, so your pooch will get lots of individual attention. He has 30 yrs experience and seems to really like dogs. Don't laugh, not all groomers like dogs. I wish I had something not so good to say to balance this review, but really my experience was that good. Okay, I thought of something. He scolded me a little for letting the hair plug up their ears and trap wax. But honestly, I should have been scolded. I won't need to board again for a couple months, but I will follow up with my review for that at a later date.
