And my family, family including the furry members (Benny, Bella, Oliver). The three of them have me wrapped around their little paws. There is nothing I would not do for them. And so yes, I spoil them. The best food, treats, toys, bed, etc. They get it all. Even keep cold water in their bowl during the summer months. So when it comes to a place to shop I can't just hope for the best. And the team, they have to love my furry ones almost as much as I do. I don't care if you ignore me or never ask my name. But you best be getting down on their level and telling them how amazing they are and asking if they want a treat (of course the answer is always yes). And here, it happens every time. It doesn't matter if it's a slow day and I'm the only customer or there's an adoption event and the place is packed; my crew gets acknowledged. Over the years I have come for extra stuff like ear wipes and CBD treats (side note: those things work!). Of course the wall of toys is always a stop. And if I have questions or need further explanation on something, they are there to help. Oh yeah, they also delivery! Like to your front door so you don't even have to get off the sofa delivery. Love this place. You should too.

I have a short list of people I would do anything for. I say this because it also applies to four furry members of our family as well. Oscar, Benny, Bella, and now Charlie (recent addition) nap and snore with ease as they know I will keep them safe and fed at all cost. So any care and love shown to them is indirectly shown to me. Thus the reason for this review. Our previous grooming suddenly closed. As someone who is not about to attempt clipping toenails aside from my own and with a senior who needs monthly haircuts, this was a crisis. I had visited Woof Gang a few times when they were at their former location, but not since they had moved in front of Fresh Market. It was too vital to entrust this process to online only so I stopped by in person. The team was friendly, helpful, and very patient with my questions. I was still a little nervous as I pulled into the parking lot with the crew, but it was due to me being over worrisome. When the three of them (Charlie had not yet joined us) came out for pick up I almost had tears welling up in my eyes. They were the cutest trio you have ever seen. The haircuts and trims were perfect and the bandanas they were wearing made it a spontaneous photo session. But then along came Charlie. This guy is a senior hospice foster, which means we will love him until he passes in the days/weeks ahead. The shelter labeled him a Shih Tzu, but the groomer thought him to be a Brussels Griffon (the breed Ewoks in the Star Wars movie are modeled after). The grooming was right. When they brought him out he was the most handsome little old Ewok/man you have ever seen. They had cleaned away the matted fur and overgrown nails. All he needed was a cardigan sweater and a pipe. I am deeply grateful to not only have a groomer in place, but one where the team sincerely loves dogs, and most importantly my dogs.

Recently, Dr. Gaffigan, who is getting ready to retire sold her practice to another veterinarian who has changed this sweet and loving place into a money grab. No more complimentary nail trims with exams, no more selling monthly heart/flea/tick protection medicine for a one-month supply for customers that are on a budget. Labs need to be done before renewing medication can be prescribed or administered- for elderly pets that have been on medications that are working! Why put them through that? The hours also changed only being open Monday through Thursday and that is difficult for working adults. I voiced my opinion that to pay for a three-month supply would be difficult for me, as I now rely mostly on social security after a recent cancer diagnosis. I had a well-paying job prior. If you break a package and sell three tablets, why can't you sell just one tablet for people that may have multiple pets like me. I received a letter in the mail that I was rude to staff and would not be welcomed back should my communication not improve. I was not rude; I just expressed my opinion. I have never in my lifetime been given a letter or reprimand like that! I have spent the bulk of my professional career helping people. I worked for hospice and was loved and respected.

I went to the Augusta Humane Society on Monday to adopt two older cats. When we came there we saw several cats outside and inside running around and just being cats/kittens. My heart was ready to adopt. Now it smelled like animals/stinky and I could tell that they had a very small budget, so please donate to this place. As we talked to the very friendly lady we realized that we were not "eligible" to adopt the older cats. The primary reason was our intentions were to declaw them in the front. The lady told me to "do the research" on declawing kittens/cats. She told me several times that not only did the Vet at the Humane Society not approve in declawing but one other local vet did not either. We were also told that other states like Maryland had laws that it was illegal. She also said it was illegal in many places overseas. So I did the research. The reason this against declawing even came up was from the Big Cats. Meaning, declawing exotic or native wild cat species. I did my research and found out Georgia HAS NO LAWS about this and this woman and her vet did not want to let anyone adopt these poor animals if they thought you would declaw. I have had cats who lived INSIDE the house for 21 years and they were declawed. Yes, I am saddened that this place have placed their own "opinions" over the needs of the animals. Too many animals need a loving home and sadly again, depending on the vets opinion, not Georgia legal laws, many will not ever find a home. Sad, sad, sad.

The team leader then called the asst. mgr.and I explained to Darryl what had occurred he apologized and the team leader apologized but Racheal the accuser had not apologized as of yet. I was given the District Mgr # and I called and explained the situation to him and I have not received a call back as of yet concerning this situation.
