Today at the Buford club with the PA system turned up very loud the girl starting blaring at 5:30 that the club was closing at 6 pm and showers closed at 5:45. This went on multiple times for the next thirty minutes. Every member there was shaking their head at the disgust and at how rude this was. Apparently it the norm because one lady said she experienced another time that was even more rude. I had my music turned up and it was drowning out my music.

Nearly every visit, within just 10 minutes of arriving, I am asked to remove my child -- which is both unreasonable and unprofessional. My son is autistic, and while he may express himself differently at times, that should be met with patience and proper training, not exaggeration or dismissal. The overall environment is unwelcoming, and I would not recommend this gym to parents looking for reliable childcare.

LA fitness cost more.. but it's better. Yes.. I can wear eat phones ...like the robots that "workout" here. I want to be part of the alive and paying attention people. Another thing is, that I joined for $20 to have all of the amenities of which there are only a few, and they keep raising the price. I signed a contract. But what is the contract if it's only agreed-upon by one person or one side of the agreement. I am now paying over $26. So they've raised it over six dollars and change in two years. And they have the gaul to charge me a fee in that price raise every month... for the ease of charging me. F them.

Now, this amazing gym is owned solely by Dave & Jaime, a local husband & wife team who are dedicated to providing a clean, family gym with well maintained equipment, exceptional classes & a pleasant atmosphere for working out. They are present owners, not only investing money but also their time to make this gym better & better every day. They are attentive to the needs of their members & willing to listen to constructive opinions & suggestions. Since they took ownership, Fitness 1440 has added wonderful morning & evening classes for a slight increase in your monthly membership fee. Just divide that increase by 4 (assuming 4 weeks to a month) and you'll realize that the price is a steal! Classes are small with amazing, qualified professionals who are willing to instruct any new members in the class. Never done Body Pump? No worries, you will get gentle instructions on what to do. Yoga or even Chair Yoga? You are welcome to join. No one laughs if you wobble while trying to do a Downward Dog! I sound like I know what I am talking about but I am new to all of this & absolutely love attending these classes. Next up, for me - Pilates! When I hear people talk about the crowded condition of their gym with limited or broken equipment & their need to wait in line to use a piece of equipment, I shake my head. Why wait there when you have access to clean & functioning equipment right down the road? Life is too short! If this gym costs a little more than the box gym you currently use, cut out one Chick-fil-A sandwich or a Starbucks coffee a week & you've covered the cost of being a happy, healthy member of this wonderful fitness boutique (my words)! Be an educated consumer - If you see a low rating because TV's aren't turned on, just ignore it. Who goes to the gym to watch TV? If you are reading negative reviews older than 1.5 years ago, ignore them. They were written when Fitness 1440 wasn't owned by Jaime & Dave. Just stop in & get a tour.
