Our team of engineers from Meta had an incredible experience with Chef and the entire team. From the very beginning, communication was effortless--they were responsive, flexible, and made organizing our team event completely stress-free. The venue was warm and welcoming, creating the perfect atmosphere for a team gathering. The hospitality was exceptional, and everyone on our team felt genuinely taken care of. The food was outstanding, and the entire experience struck a great balance between fun, relaxation, and team bonding. One of the highlights was the generous surprise of complimentary wine served by our host, which made the evening feel even more special. It's clear they truly care about creating a memorable experience for their guests. If you're looking for a unique venue for a corporate team event, offsite, or celebration, I highly recommend this place. Our entire team left with nothing but great memories, and we'd absolutely love to come back! read more

Had the absolute pleasure of taking cooking classes with Chef Teena's team for our Corporate Holiday Team Event. The whole experience was so pleasant and smooth, from registering, to fixating the menu (that met our team's dietary needs), the location, etc. Parking was super convenient, the space was super clean, and the team was very friendly, organized, and professional. Each dish was super fun to make, and it was the most rewarding feeling when we all sat down to eat together and enjoy the delicious meal we all cooked. To top it off we also received a complimentary dessert which was the best!!! Thank you Team CurrySutra for such an amazing team bonding experience. We can't wait to be back!!! read more

Teena did a cooking class at a friend's home for a birthday celebration. She helped 8 of us make an amazing Indian meal, complete with an appetizer, 2 mains, rice, and dessert. She and Brigid were so wonderful to work with - it felt like they were part of the group! Teena was incredibly flexible and accommodating, which made organizing the night very easy. I would absolutely recommend hiring Curry Sutra for a cooking class, corporate event or fun and different activity with friends! read more

What an amazing family cooking and bonding experience we had at the hands of Chef Teena and assistant Brigid. We learned so much about balancing Indian spices to create delicious vegitarian dishes. Thank you Team Currysutra! read more

Our team loved our cooking class offsite so much with Chef Teena back in 2023 that they kept asking to do another one! I think it was even better this time. :) They have moved to a new space at Auto Vino, and the outdoor cooking environment was perfect with plenty of shade. Once again, Chef Teena and her team ran a super organized, delicious cooking class for our team of ~18 people, and everyone is already asking to go back a third time! I highly recommend Chef Teena for any company offsites! read more

We had the most amazing four course cooking class and meal for my work team today. Chef Teena and her team arranged a wonderful activity to help us bond, laugh, and learn today. She also made coordination super easy. Location was very convenient. If you're looking for a unique and really fun team event 13/10 highly recommend. read more

Using reviews on Yelp, and researching the company website, our group (30+) was excited to take part in this activity with Chef T. This space is portrayed as a kitchen in a shared dynamic space. The reality is it is a makeshift kitchen located in the corner of an active sports gym. To get to the kitchen, we had to walk through multiple active volleyball courts, and our entire activity was conducted 6 ft from a children's gymnastics class. As a group, we made the most of it, but folks should be aware of the location and space they are booking as it is not reflective of the reviews and photos here and on their corporate website. read more

Teena provided drop off catering for our family holiday lunch. She was wonderful to work with to plan the menu and the food was delicious and plentiful. We had Tuscan chicken, sliders (mainly for the kids), Brussels, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. All dishes were so flavorful! We also ordered her cookie decorating kits and they were the best I've ever had. I highly recommend Teena! read more

Came for a team building exercise - was surprised to find a cooking class in here but how brilliant! What I liked about this class over others like sur la table: - dietary needs: chef teena's super flexible, she made dietary accommodations for myself on the fly since we booked super last min - space: Excellent leverage of a quiet and modern appliance store - great equipment - portions + ingredients: it's actually a full meal, unlike some classes that just make nibbles. - easy to make!!! I went to a sur la table class once for croissants, and swore I'd never make them again - they also didn't taste good. I'm glad we learned how to make dishes we could actually re-enact at home! Although a bit pricier than some locations, the personal attention and quantity of food makes this great. read more

Chef Teena and her team were awesome. They lead us through 5 different recipes letting us believe we were doing all the work. We had a wonderful evening of team building with Chef Teena and her team. Everything was so well planned out and staged such that some prep was completed ahead of time (marinating chicken and boiling potatoes and rice, etc) so that our team of five could prepare and enjoy several courses, all while laughing and enjoying our time together. Chef Teena is AMAZING and hands down one of the friendliest and most accommodating people. Our team had a last minute offsite and we needed a team building event the very next day. I called Chef Teena and she was so accommodating and was able to fit our group of 8 in for a class. I was very grateful as we did not have an alternative. Our team won't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the experience and the food. We are already looking into potentially booking another group with Teena. Thank you Chef! read more

Chef Teena and team catered our small birthday party and it was a great success thanks to her great food!

I'm actually not sure what else to say since everyone who has reviewed before me have said it all. Summary: Chef Teena and her team are AMAZING! Chef Teena was very responsive during my entire interaction with her: from getting dates and quotes, to making the reservation, to asking for suggestions, to making changes to the reservation, headcount and suggestions, etc etc. She was patient and super professional. Her team were friendly and helpful. They knew when to step in to help or step back to let our team do our thing. Our team were fully engaged at the beginning of the event. As we petered out, Chef Teena's team took over and add the finishing touches. All the dishes were DELICIOUS. I'd say the appetizer and dessert were the biggest hit. Thank you so much for an awesome experience and a memorable event! read more

Teena did an amazing job with our large group cooking class! We would love to come here again.

This is probably Long pending on my end but I wanted to do it right. This was the first time we took a different exercise for team building. We were searching for options until I spoke to Teena. It was an easy pick after talking to her. The location was convenient with ample parking and equipment were available of all the activities we were going to perform. Teena and team were good in accommodating on a very short notice too. We did a lot of cooking and had a lot fun that day. The way chefs and staff were engaging with us was amazing. We felt the warmth in welcome and every activity we did there. It was a perfect match for an activity like team building because it did require us to get into smaller groups and deliver on the bigger project. It was no different than what we do at work but in a lot more fun way. Teena & Team took a effort to explain every detail about the process. It went to a level where everything turned out just perfect. We had starters followed by Main Course served on the table and special desert which was indeed a surprise. Its a full value for the bucks you spent. Look forward to go back there for future events. read more

We had our corporate offsite there for 30 ppl, we had a great time, cooked a great meal that everyone enjoyed!

I was given a gift certificate for a cooking class with Chef Teena for my birthday. (Read: I'm not a good cook and my loved ones know it.) It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Chef Teena is quite responsive via email or phone, and finding a time that worked with both of our busy schedules was easy. Choosing the menu was smooth as well. When my girlfriend and I arrived at the class, everything had been set up in a way that made it simple to see what recipes we would be crafting and what ingredients were involved. We jumped right in and blasted out 4 different dishes during the ~2 hour class. Chef Teena was a great teacher and clearly took steps to ensure that I'd retain the knowledge and be able to replicate the recipes on my own time. All in all, I had an excellent time and recommend ECA to anyone who's looking for a fun activity that'll leave them a bit more equipped in the kitchen. Thanks Chef! read more

Chef Teena and her kitchen crew were amazing. I inquired for our party of 8 and she replied the same day, unlike the other companies I had reached out to who never even got back to me. We went for a corporate team build and had a blast . While guiding us through the cooking class, there were multiple stations so we all were able to work on different parts of the cuisine and she played music and took photos of our group. The event ended with a fabulous dining experience where we were served our freshly cooked meals paired with wines that we brought. Highly recommend! read more

I very rarely write any reviews, but this place is really special. Chef Teena created an amazing bonding experience for couples, families and corporate teams here! Highly recommend if you're looking for a great teambuilding event! We were 18 colleagues and went with the Indian menu (Italian and Mediterranean were also offered as options, along with a less expensive appetizers only menu). We chopped, cooked, and fried at various stations, making veggie pakora, aloo gobi, and chicken curry. Everything was delicious and Teena and her staff were so kind and took care of everything (including taking over the cooking when people started socializing instead :). It's BYOB wine and beer and Teena had set up ice buckets for the white wine and beer we brought, and a wine rack for our reds, alongside small wine glasses and water/water cups that she provided. Teena brought us delicious mango ice cream desserts that were a huge hit as well. She was easy to work with (super responsive via email) and the space was huge. A few of us took advantage of the RC racing too, which was a fun add. read more

We hosted a team building event at Explore Culinary Arts with Chef Teena. During the planning process, Teena was quick to answer all of my questions and gave great feedback on which appetizers and entrees would be best for our team. We arrived to a very clean and organized kitchen. We were split into groups where we each got to prep or cook a certain part of the meal. While everything was being prepared and cooking, our team mingled, learned more about what we were cooking, and snacked on the appetizer. Once everything was finished, we all got to enjoy the meal we created and everyone loved it! Overall we had a very fun, low stress team building activity. Thank you Chef Teena and team! read more

We had an amazing time bringing together our team for lunch today! We chose one of the super appetizing Indian menus that Chef Teena has to offer because we had a vegan in our group and some others with shellfish allergies, kosher, etc. so it was super accommodating menu for all. Everyone had a job to do and we were encouraged to dive right in, which I appreciated because it kept the momentum and excitement up. We ended our meal with a fabulous dessert prepared by Chef Teena's team; she even went out of her way to make one of my favorite Indian desserts even though she had something else planned. I really appreciate her flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile! I learned quite a bit from our experience today that I will take to my own kitchen and I am confident we will be back if we decide to do another team cooking event. read more

I want to thank Chef Teena and her amazing staff for helping us experience a wonderful team building event last Friday. From start to finish, Teena was extremely responsive to my calls and emails, as well as accommodating to our team that had some folks with specific dietary restrictions. As we began preparing appetizers and entrees, the entire staff was hands on and guided us step by step, which made this class all the more rewarding. Again, we thank you and we'll certainly keep you in mind for future team building events. Regards, -Alma S. on behalf of Next47 :) read more

I was looking for a team event for 30 to 40 people, and while every place I called could accommodate us, I was looking for something that was "more than" a cooking class. There are many professional businesses in the south bay that can deliver on the cooking part, but Teena with Explore Culinary Arts went above and beyond! We worked together on the menu, dietary accommodations for some of our team members, the timing, games, Instacart ordering and more. She even picked up sparkling water for us last minute and her and her team stepped in when our Instacart beverage order arrived earlier than anticipated. From the Mediterranean cuisine, which was delicious(!), to the outdoor seating and prep area, to cornhole, Teena and her team were amazing! I can't wait to partner with her and her team for a future event! read more

Chef Teena and her staff did a great job hosting our team of 14 for a teambuilding cooking class this week. The vegetable pakora with mint chutney was amazing -- a huge hit with everyone. I'm still dreaming of it. Teena was very organized and prompt in her communications throughout the process. She had a menu of options for us to choose from, making organization a breeze. Because our team vote was tied for menu, Chef Teena customized a mixed menu for us, ensuring everyone got to learn something new! Our team loved Teena and her team. Our group's experience with cooking was low to intermediate, and they were super patient in walking us through the basics. However, the kitchen equipment in the classroom is top of the line, and I have no doubts that they could craft a more challenging class for a highly experienced group. Teena and her staff were accommodating of our teammates' dietary restrictions. I was touched that Teena took the time to call out what dairy each dish included and even provide special toothpicks to mark which chicken rollatini would not contain feta cheese. It took the burden off of me (the organizer) and the teammates with allergies, leaving us free to enjoy learning and tasting. I'll include the quote for our class in case it's helpful to others who have a budget to meet: $125/person, not including gratuity. Your quote can vary based on the menu and other factors, but it's nice to have a ballpark estimate. Our team felt it was worth every penny! read more

First time Yelp reviewer, but worth the effort of creating an account to provide Chef Teena and her wonderful staff positive feedback. Short Answer: AMAZING experience for my team's offsite!!! Everyone had nothing but positive things to say about our Holiday Event held at Explore Culinary Arts. Chef Teena and her staff were attentive and engaged throughout the event. Story: I was tasked with locking in our Holiday Event for 2018. My manager happened to find Explore Culinary Arts on LinkedIn through one of her feeds, and she passed along the info to me. I did some research, and though there are other competitors in the Bay Area, Explore Culinary Arts just had a professional look and feel at initial glance. I sent out an initial feeler email to them, and Chef Teena responded nearly instantly with all of the logistical information, including process for next steps. In the email, it included a list of menu options, 11 at the time of this review. It was a lot of information to parse at once, BUT, it provided all the information that I needed to make a decision. After a few emails back and forth, again, Chef Teena was highly responsive, I was able to lock down a date for my team. Chef Teena provided a recommendation regarding menu choice, but my team wanted to do something different, and she fully accommodated. With Chef Teena's help, we were able to create a menu that was multi-ethnic and diverse. Go with the Pakora as recommended by Chef Teena for the appetizer; they are a home recipe and are DELICIOUS!!! Day of the event. My team has a headcount of 14. I thought it was the right amount of people for the space provided. Chef Teena has stated the space can accommodate a greater headcount, but in my experience, we were nearly elbow-to-elbow preparing the dishes (nice and intimate). It would be hard to fit more than 14 people in the dining space after as well, at least if everyone would like to sit together. Cooking together as a team was an absolute blast! Speed is dictated by the cooking ability of the people you are with. Chef Teena and her team gently guides the cooking process along. All the food prep was taken care of by her staff prior to the event. Cooking time ranges from 1-2hrs depending on menu choice, and about 30mins for dining after. Chef Teena will provide Coffee, Tea, and water upon request. It was a non-alcoholic event for us this time, but you can BYOB and other drinks as needed. Corking service is provided. Chef Teena and staff take photos throughout the event, and provides them upon request. Overall, I was highly satisfied with the event. It was fun, intimate, the staff was great, and yes, the food was tasty as well. I would do it again! read more

Chef Teena and her team are amazing! We had a team building event with 11 people for dinner. It was very organized and well staffed. Our team had a blast! Everything was easy to follow, even for folks who aren't experts in the kitchen. Location is easy to find and they have a parking lot. The space is beautiful and clean. The kitchen is huge so you won't feel cramped. When we were ready to eat, we sat a long rectangular table and they plated and served the meal. It was such a pleasure to work with Chef Teena. While we were still deciding on our team building event, I asked her to keep me posted if other companies were inquiring because I did not want to lose our spot. She kept me posted daily. She is so friendly and professional. I definitely recommend you check this place out! You won't be disappointed. read more

Our team from Box recently had a team building challenge at Explore Culinary Arts. Logistics and coordinating were a breeze. Chef Teena was very responsive even though she was out of the country at the time (how does she do it?). When it came down to the day, Chef Teena and her team were amazing at getting us all set up and breaking down everything especially those that are not familiar around the kitchen. The lunch was amazing. We went with an Italian menu (Tuscany chicken, linguine, butternut squash). We even got a delicious desert. I would recommend Chef Teena and Explore Culinary Art. She is awesome at what she does and the food was amazing. read more

Last week my team of 40 had a chocolate cooking class at Explore Culinary Arts and everything was above and beyond my expectations. First, Chef Teena was my main POC and she was incredibly responsive via email, which made setting up the event and adjusting for things like dietary needs and last minute additions super easy. For this class, they usually do a 3 - course meal, but all my team really wanted was chocolate. Teena and her chefs were happy to accommodate. We chose to make chocolate eclairs, chocolate mousse dessert, and chocolate truffles. Upon arrival, the chefs had already prepared some of the ingredients, so the team helped more with mixing, piping, and assembling. During the class, my team kept coming up to me and telling me how much they were enjoying it, which was amazing to hear! I highly recommend Explore Culinary Arts for an offsite or group event. I look forward to visiting again for another cooking class. :) read more

My company is in deep gratitude for Teena and her team accommodating us at the very last minute. We had plans for cooking class elsewhere until they canceled the day before. Not wanting to let the team down, I made some calls in a panic. I found Explore Culinary Arts and they were willing to take us just the day before the event. The class just happened to be a success on top of it all. Chef Teena and her staff did a great job of hosting the group, which included novices and experienced cooks in the kitchen. Her staff was professional and very enjoyable to be around. It was truly a fantastic experience -- joking/laughing throughout, all while cooking the meals. The food was delicious! read more

We had a super fun team gathering here. The venue is lovely, and it was awesome to cook in a kitchen that was equipped to the nines. This is the type of experience that will make you long for your own chef's kitchen and inspire you to cook more at home. Chef Teena and her staff were the most gracious hosts. All ingredients were of pre-cleaned and of premium quality and were already laid out in an organized manner upon our arrival, so all we really had to do was prep (chop, cut, grate) and focus on the cooking itself. We all picked up some cool recipes, cooking tips and techniques, and I was grateful that Chef Teena thoughtfully orchestrated the activities to ensure we also had plenty of time to catch up with each other and bond over the experience. Chef Teena is extremely respectful of dietary restrictions and had a separate dish whipped up for me since I was the only pescetarian on the team. I will tell you that the Chef's pakora is flat out UH-mazing. I've only ever had pakora in Indian restaurants prior to this and actually never cared for it much, but little did I know that a pakora can be mindblowingly delicious. Thank you, Teena!
