My particular thanks to Marc, Dale, Russel and Emma in the business department and to Brandt, Steve and Sanjay in store. I probably spent most of the time speaking to James (the Sony Rep) and Jordan when I was desperately trying to figure out the best television to buy. Having spent so much time reading reviews and watching YouTube videos online regarding the best TVs I had finally narrowed my choice down to 2 specific sets; namely the Sony A90J 65" and the LG Gallery G1 77" series. I can honestly say that I have never spent so much time on a purchase than I did over this television - perhaps only when buying a car! I was going back and forth constantly changing my mind. It is in this regard that I wish to express my sincere thanks to all those I spoke to as they really were so patient. Not only that, but also very understanding of how long it was taking me. I often laughing at myself with them for over analysing it too much! They were great though. In terms of my choice (maybe helpful for others) the 2 televisions were both top tier sets but the Gallery G1 was the larger size and I loved the way it hung on the wall. The Sony A90J seemed to offer the better picture quality, better sound quality and better overall experience such as the brilliant backlit remote control and a fantastic and easy operating system based on Google. However, I was hoping for the best of both worlds as the flush slim look of the Gallery G1 on the wall is just fantastic. Alas, it couldn't be and I had to choose one over the other. I chose the Sony A90J and will pair it with the Sony HT-A9 surround sound speaker system going forward. This is currently out of stock due to the pandemic but hopefully available again for purchase in a few months time. I couldn't be happier with my decision and am having the Sony A90J professionally wall mounted. Buying a new tv and home cinema system if you will was a big decision for me, hence why it took so long. Aesthetics are equally important to me and I love that the Sony has a small dim light that blinks only when you use the remote buttons; it's very subtle and nicely implemented. It doesn't have a huge IR sensor sticking out of the bottom of it like the Gallery G1 does. I knew that would constantly distract me when watching television. The Sony is beautifully styled, minimalistic and it seems to me that everything has been thought about during the design stage. The backlit remote control is incredibly practical and I now feel I couldn't do without it in the future. It's also really lovely to use. In terms of picture quality; well it is simply outstanding. If you mainly stream content from the likes of Netflix, Disney, Prime Video and other similar services then you are going to be blown away in my opinion. Other services and older content are still very good and well upscale for the 65" screen size but since I rarely watch older content its not really that important to me. For what I do want to watch, the Sony A90J is the best TV to date in my opinion. For reference, I came from a Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 11-46" (older LCD/LED from 2012) and I could now never go back to such technology. OLED is without question the way to go for perfect pictures and great viewing. I find Sony's current offerings with the soon to be available HT-A9 sound system so much better and simpler than anything available from B&O or anyone else at this time. Based on this customer experience with Curry's I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough. Prior to this visit and eventual purchases (Sony A90J, Sony Blu-ray player and soon HT-A9) I was a loyal customer of John Lewis, but I had received a very bad and uncomfortable customer experience in the days before from one of the managers, which is why I looked elsewhere. I am now a firm and loyal Curry's customer since John Lewis have lost their appeal due to my customer experience being a lot worse than they used to be. I have heard many people say the same thing so well done Curry's for stepping up (massively) and offering the same and in my opinion better customer service than your competitors. Well deserved. I don't know whether it was just pot luck but there was one member of staff here who was pretty rude to me and the other one when I came back to collect the phone was kind of indifferent. If I could help it I wouldn't go here again, I'd rather go somewhere where they're friendlier (providing it's convenient).

Unfortunately, none of the handsets on display actually work, so if you want to try something out you'll have to queue up and ask someone to show you one. Apart from that, very nice pleasant store.

The prices aren't outstanding though. There are some bargains to be found but for example a lot of the electronics stuff is the same price you'd find them in Dixons. Don't go expect a massive bargain frenzy. There are no 'normal' checkouts in this place- every checkout is self-service, which is fine if your shopping basket is not too big but it can end up getting chaotic if your basket has DVDs (that have age restrictions), or clothes (that have tags).

If you can find something in Ikea, you can probably also now find it at Tesco Home Plusa big out of town non-food Tesco store. It's pleasant enough to walk round and browse, though the majority of things are in their catalogue and the actual store is just a fraction of what they sell. If you can leave your moral objections at the door, it's a good shop.

There is a range of computing equipment on display including paper reams, inks and of course printers and fax machines in abundance. They also have satellite navigation systems for your car and satellite tv. There is a also a large range of smaller items from batteries to bulbs, cables of every description and much inbetween. There are usually quite a few customers browsing. They also have a desk at the back of the store specifically for queries which is really useful and they always seem to have plenty of staff ready to serve so you aren't hanging around waiting. I bought a new laptop from this megastore for £750 with add-ons. The sales assistant knew her job…read morewell and pulled out all of the stops to try to persuade me to buy everything possible to accompany my new purchase. Unfortunately for her I didn't want to spend £1000 on a laptop for studying. I ended up paying around £100 of add-ons as opposed to the £200-£250 that she was trying to sell me. The sales assistant then said that I needed a recovery drive (USB) for my laptop. At first I clearly said "No" but the assistant then told me that I would have to set up my laptop with a disc if I declined the service. This was the moment that I gave up and paid for the £35 service even though the knowhow website says that "if the laptop in question is the only one in stock the service should be courtesy" (The recovery media was already on the drive). I now have a fantastic laptop that I paid to much for because of all of the hidden fees. I will buy from John Lewis next time! BTW- My laptop doesn't have a disc drive as it is technically an ultrabook, so how could I have set my laptop up with a disc?!?! To conclude- A store with a great range of products but with staff who have a lack of respect for their customers. HP ENVY 13.

I used to live with a…read morecouple of computer scientists who said PC World was pretty rubbish and their stuff usually didn't last that long and could be found cheaper elsewhere (the Kwik Fit of the computer world if you like). But after seeing an advert on TV for a £69.99 Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax I couldn't resist. The Cribbs Causeway PC world is possibly the biggest I have ever seen - a massive modern warehouse full of all things electronic. I headed straight for the printer section, only to be told they'd sold out but within minutes as I looked bemusedly at the other printers on offer, they'd had another delivery and the shy geeky sales assistant came over with exactly what I was looking for. It is one of these places where there's one way in and out and you must go through pretty stringent security to get out but if you're lucky they'll carry your goods to your car for you!

With a rather impressive range of fish there is a lot to choose from - I would suggest reading up on the old fact sheets before going here as on one of my visits there wasn't anybody there who really knew their stuff. Having said this, on the second time there was! If you're going for a particular fish in mind it's really worth calling before hand as all new deliveries have to make if through a period of observation before they'll let you take them home. Aside from the fish the centre is positively brimming with all garden related necessities and accessories - I think I might go back in the spring to buy seeds for growing my own tomatoes / cucumbers / strawberries!

Having grown up in Bristol, I've been to this place countless times with my parents on boring…read moresunday trips out. As I got older though, I finally realised what a really good garden centre it is. It's basically massive, with a wide variety of plants on the outside section, from roses to small trees. It's got three sections - the main bit as you walk in, which houses garden furniture, indoor plants, seeds, cards, books (and the other more random items big garden centres tend to stock) and a really nice cafe, ideal for a cup of tea and flapjack on a sunday afternoon. Outside, it's got a really big patio area which contains most of the plants, with three large greenhouses to the top left of the patio. In here is an excellently stocked water department, selling fish, ponds, pumps and general water gardening paraphernalia. The young guy who runs this department is extremely friendly and really very helpful - he's advised on a few pump issues at my folks' house over the years. Check out the view over to the Severn bridge on the road that leads to the centre, it's phenomenal!
