I usually try and avoid PC World in support of the local computer shops. I used to live with a couple of computer scientists who said PC World was pretty rubbish and their stuff usually didn't last that long and could be found cheaper elsewhere (the Kwik Fit of the computer world if you like). But after seeing an advert on TV for a £69.99 Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax I couldn't resist. The Cribbs Causeway PC world is possibly the biggest I have ever seen - a massive modern warehouse full of all things electronic. I headed straight for the printer section, only to be told they'd sold out but within minutes as I looked bemusedly at the other printers on offer, they'd had another delivery and the shy geeky sales assistant came over with exactly what I was looking for. It is one of these places where there's one way in and out and you must go through pretty stringent security to get out but if you're lucky they'll carry your goods to your car for you! read more
