Ordered a £300+ camera from Jessops to be collected at the Taunton
store. The confirmation e-mail clearly gave a date and time after which I could
collect the camera. I telephoned half an hour after the time given to be told
that there was no way the camera would be there until the following day. As I needed the camera urgently that day to
carry out some work, I said all right and I would try elsewhere in the area.
Ten minutes later I received a phone call saying that they had a display model
that I could purchase (at full price), which I said would be fine. After traveling twelve mile to the shop to collect this, I
was told they would not sell it to me as it had a scratch on the body. Asked why they had not phoned me to tell me
that it was not available, the answer was that they thought that I was already
on my way. As they had already telephoned me to say that they had a camera on
my mobile phone I do not see a problem with phoning to tell me they did not
have one. If you want good polite and helpful service Jessops is definitely
NOT the place to go. read more
