Another great curry pizza place in Cypress, actually my new favorite spot! Our family came in on a Friday night and the girl working there ( I think her name was Tina?) was amazing! She helped us order a bunch of items to try, she brought our food out and checked in us to make sure everything was good. We ordered the tandoori wings, and BBQ wings. The tandoori wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We also ordered a Cesar salad , vegetable samosa, and a large veg curry half butter chicken pizza. Tge pizza was crispy and delicious bursting with flavor! They also have a large bar and a full mixed drink cocktail menu. We polished off this delicious meal with a cookie big enough for 4 with left overs to take home. Will definitely be back soon:) read more

This restaurant is right next to a gas station and there was plenty of space for parking. My friend and I came in for lunch on a Wednesday so they had a deal for half off wings! We ordered the butterchicken pizza with wings (chili chicken, achari, curry masala, desi zing) For the wings, I highly recommend the chili chicken! The others were good but sometimes (especially the dry rub) there was too much excess powder/seasoning. But the achari was delicious! The pizza was the star of the show. Fantastic crust/dough and the toppings were A+. Generous amounts of chicken, delicious butter chicken flavor, and lots of cilantro/onion on top. It was very warm inside when we went. The power was out at home so didn't feel much different from the no air conditioning we came from. They started advertising as a lounge as well but barely had any beer on draft and the one I asked for wasn't working. This seems more like a to go place as everyone who came in, was there to pick up an order. We were the only ones eating there. Came during my lunch break and everything was 10/10! We were greeted warmly and the server was super nice. She provided lots of recommendations and was patient since I've never been here, I had a few questions. The place is super big and spacious. Restrooms were nice and clean! The food is absolutely delicious! Everything came out pretty fast and was so hot and fresh. Caesar salad was great. The samosas were a bit thicker than I'm used to but the sauces were so good - I had to ask for more to go! I wanted to try something new so I got the chicken tikka pizza, so good and super filling! Stopped by at lunchtime on a Friday and it was empty. We were greeted right away and our server was so sweet and helpful. We had our choice of where to sit and pondered the menu, deciding on 2 kids cheese pizzas and a medium butter chicken pizza. Everything was great! The two kids (age 5 and 8) could have easily split one kids pizza, there was plenty. The butter chicken pizza was delicious and we had leftovers after splitting it two ways. It made us curious to try all the flavors! The real star for me was the perfectly crispy crust...absolutely the best I've ever seen. I ordered delivery for a work event with excitement. I've seen this pizza place on social media and thought that one of my favorite foods (Indian) meeting pizza has to be a great experience for tastebuds. Every expectation I had was met. I ordered through ezCater and had hesitations because I never ordered from them. The store called me when the order was completed to communicate they were on their way. It was about a 30 minute commute for them and I had slight concerns about the freshness of our order. However everything that we ordered arrived fresh. Including the mango lassi (not pictured). The blend of Indian dishes on the pizza was perfect and not overpowered by the pizza or the fish in itself. The lamb kabob pizza was probably my favorite. The cookies say two servings but they easily serve 3-4. We over ordered but the guests were excited to take them home. The manager delivered the pizza himself and it was great to meet him and have him be attentive to our event needs. I'll be back to try the other options. read more

The Curry Pizza House, not to be confused with a nearby-ish pizza house of a similar concept, is now my 2nd favorite curry pizza in Cypress. I was a total loyalist to the smaller local pizza house of a similar concept, but I'm glad I accident's gave these folks a try. I cannot speak on the shop itself, since we ordered delivery, but I can say the following: -so much variety -fresh ingredients properly spiced -I usually avoid tomatoes on pizza but they worked perfectly, providing the freshest pop -smaller pieces and upon finishing 4 slices I still felt surprising light! Note to those looking to deliver-they outsource their delivery through Uber. This spot is about 15 minutes from my house, and a large 14" 1/2 and 1/2 pizza for delivery came to $47 with 15% tip. Review: I'd say the worst part about this place is that there's only one location open in the Houston area--and it's in Cypress. Looking forward to the Katy location opening soon! Other than that, this place serves some of the best Indian-style pizza in Texas. Pizza: I've had the Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken pizzas, and both are delicious and flavorful. The Butter Chicken is my favorite of the two! Wings: We also tried the Tandoori wings, which were amazing. They're dry rub wings that are juicy, with good-quality meat. Service: The gentleman who served us was very attentive, not only to us but to everyone in the restaurant. He was the only one bussing and taking orders, and he did an excellent job. Price: Indian-style pizza tends to be on the pricier side--not sure why, but it is. I recommend coming in for their lunch special, which includes a single pizza and a soda for around $15. My friend tried out this place the previous day and raved about it so much that he talked me into going back with him the next day. I had the chili paneer pizza on the cauliflower crust and added pineapple (don't yuck my yum). My friend had the tandoori chicken pizza on cauliflower crust and added pineapple and extra cilantro. They also have gluten free (vegan) crust option in addition to traditional pizza crust and topping offerings. The cauliflower crust was thin and soft (not like crackers or cardboard like a lot of other places) and the seasoning on both pizzas were flavorful and generous. My friend had the tikka masala chicken pizza the previous night and couldn't pick a favorite between his choices. We shared the masala chips which were like roasted potato chips not like thin fried potato chips -- they were delicious! All of the staff we interacted with were kind and friendly. They were attentive enough but not hovering around. The interior is clean and there is room between tables so you don't feel like you're dining with people at the table next to you. On the first trip out, we fully understood they had just recently opened and were trying to get the kinks out. It's been some time, and the service requires attention. Today, we repeatedly mentioned we wanted to start with desi garlic bread and weren't ready to order our pizza. The server had to say what we ordered a few times and continued to ask what we wanted. We were prepared to order the pizza, and that took a couple of iterations. The waiter then returned and asked what we wanted as an appetizer ... umm, we just ordered garlic bread! Finally, what really bothered us was when I paid the bill , my wife noticed we had another table bill. Instead of refunding us, he approached the family having lunch and asked them to pay out the bill and give the difference of $ 10. It wasn't very pleasant for both us and the other family. We said never mind and told the other family to enjoy and apologize for the rudeness and interruption, and they did the same. Manager or Owner, this needs to be addressed. My daughter who doesn't always like to eat in new places loved the Masala Chips (masala flavored fries) and even ate the Curry wings! The wings and chips were amazing spot on. The service is the slowest and most disorganized I've ever experienced. They just opened so I hope they improve with time. We stood at the door for several minutes without any acknowledgement or greeting. Someone finally came to take our order, but we still didn't have menus. After the waitress left, another guy came over a minute later and asked to take our order again. Keep in mind I was at the soft opening and so these things could have been improved. Me and my wife LOVE Indian food and the spicier the better. I've contemplated bathing in Butter Chicken Sauce but I'm not sure I'd still be married if I did that. Anyway, we love Indian food so the news that this place was open excited us both. Unfortunately we were slightly disappointed with the execution. What I ordered: Chicken Tikka Pizza Desi Garlic Sticks Onion Rings What comes to mind when you hear Chicken Tikka Pizza? Perhaps a garlic crust pizza with a nice tikka masala sauce and a few pieces of chicken on top of a layer of cheese. The sauce replacing the traditional marinara sauce and bringing into the fold the perfect balance that is fusion food. Sadly that was not my experience. Instead I was given a decent pizza with far too many toppings (an issue I've noticed at a lot of pizza places in Cypress) and no tikka sauce at all. I'm not even sure the pizza had any sauce because it was so thick and smothered with cheese. The Indian part of the food felt "dumbed down" perhaps in an attempt to appeal to the general American taste pallet, but when people come to a curry pizza house this could be the chance to softly introduce them to the complex and delicious flavors of Indian cuisine. I feel like this was such a missed opportunity and I hope they attempt to change this in the future. The Desi Garlic Sticks were very delicious and had some good flavor to them. Potentially the best thing I ate. The Onion Rings had a nice crisp to them and were just a good classic onion ring. The atmosphere was fun and family friendly. It's hard to find a pizza place in cypress with the seating options at Curry Pizza House. The service was good and I'm sure it will only get better with experience. All in all it was not a bad experience and I plan on going again in a couple of months to see if it actually tastes like a "Curry Pizza". If I was Dave Portnoy I would have given the pizza a 5.6/10 but I'm not him and no one knows who I am so I'll settle with an overall experience of 3/5. read more
