Aga's Restaurant & Catering is considered one of the best Pakistani restaurants in all of North…read moreAmerica. This location has a banquet hall as well as a large restaurant that looked like it had seating for over 200 people. I went with their goat chops, beef bihari boti, goat shinwari karahi and naan. Goat chops ($27 - 5 pieces) - This is their most famous dish, and was the best Pakistani BBQ spiced item I have ever tried! The goat chops were so tender, juicy and had such flavorful spices. I can't stop thinking about these! Beef bihari boti ($13 - 6 pieces) - This was another impressive dish, consisting of 6 tenderized boneless pieces of beef prepared in some bold spices which utilized papaya and yogurt. Goat shinwari karahi ($21) - While the karahi was good and flavorful, I don't feel this particular karahi was as bold and strong as regular karahis I have had elsewhere. This restaurant offers several types of karahi, and I should have gone with the standard karahi, but this was still good. Naan ($2) - This was extremely reasonably priced and the naan was pillowy soft. Overall I was impressed with the service here and the food. Aga's definitely lived up to the hype and I'm glad I got to try this Pakistani HALAL restaurant. This is a must visit for anyone visiting Houston!

They are a bit spicy, which doesn't bother me but they are too spicy for my daughter that eats nothing spicy. The Butter Chicken is delicious and not spicy at all, and their Garlic Naan is the ideal companion for scooping up every last bit of curry. The Service: Despite how busy they stay, the staff is remarkably efficient and attentive, ensuring that your water is filled and your courses arrive hot. The Vibe: It's a great spot for large groups or a nice dinner out. It feels upscale yet remains deeply rooted in traditional hospitality. OVERALL - The food was absolutely delicious. Whether you are a longtime fan of Indo-Pak cuisine or trying it for the first time, Aga's sets a very high bar. It's the kind of meal you'll find yourself craving again the very next day. Depending on what time you go you will have to wait more than just a few minutes. We went on Sunday afternoon and had a half an hour wait, but was worth the wait.

Raahi Indian Kitchen - Gobi Pakora - should be more crispy, Cucumber Gin and Tonic: refreshing but tasted more like mojito than G&T

Ordered Mango and Salt Lassis and Chai, followed by Grilled Chicken Platter (Kevab, Boti, Achari, Hariyali, and Tandoori), Tandoori Pomfret, Amritsari Chole, Sarson da Saag and Makki ki Roti, Aloo Kulcha, and Bread Basket (Naan, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori Roti). Service was friendly and excellent, food arrived promptly and was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Meats and fish were very tender and wonderfully marinated. Ramandeep visited out table and diver a while chatting about family, food, and NYE event at the restaurant. Overall the meal for gourmet set us back $124, including a healthy tip. So good to have been back - authentic, hearty Punjabi food cooked with love!

Their butter chicken is easily one of the best in town--rich, balanced, and comforting. The tandoori soy chaap is excellent, and the veg Kolhapuri was another highlight on earlier visits. Not everything hits the mark, though. The sarson da saag with makki di roti was disappointing and not something I'd recommend. Update (Aug 2025): It looks like the kitchen team has changed. Some of the curries, especially the Kolhapuri, have really declined in flavor--leaning heavily on chili powder without the depth or balance they once had. I'll give them another try before writing them off, but it's a noticeable step back.

Food was pretty good at the buffet, but the service was terrible. Our waitress was circling the…read morerestaurant and pretending to be busy without making any eye contact customers and not actually doing her job. We had to make multiple requests to her and eventually other servers to get naan brought to the table, by which point all the food was cold. She was not clearing dirty plates, so we had dirty plates crowing the table until we started to stack them, which let another server know that these needed to be picked up. Eventually, a member of our table just grabbed a pitcher of water cause the waters were not being refilled. Not a fun experience, she needs to re-trained. Her co-workers were having to tell her to do this and that cause she was taking 0 initiative.

They were out of the popular butter chicken when we initially arrived, but it was refilled soon after. The chicken breast meat in that dish was on the dry overcooked side, but the flavor was fine. My favorite meat item was this crispy Asian tasting chicken! Fresh naan is brought to the table, though the batch we received was burnt and thick... meh. Not yummy. My favorite part of the buffet experience is the desserts though! The carrot halwa, gulab jamon, and the rice kheer are all delicious! Make sure to save room for them! Parking sucks. Get here on the early side or late side if possible.

The beauty of the space, the elegant style, the stunning décor, and how spacious and inviting it felt all created an incredible atmosphere. The ambiance and music added the perfect touch. The true highlight, of course, was the food. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared with amazing taste, balanced flavors, and wonderful textures. You could tell a lot of care went into every plate. Our waiter was exceptional--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu. He explained everything in detail and made excellent recommendations that made the experience even better. This is definitely a place for a special occasion, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, but it's also perfect for stopping by for great cocktails and a beautiful evening out. I will absolutely be coming back.

Even with a reservation for six, we were first seated at a communal table outside the main dining room, and then moved to a tight, dim corner--neither felt quite right for a place of this caliber. That said, the manager handled everything with kindness and professionalism, and once we were moved to a round table in the center of the main dining room, the night completely turned around. From there, everything was excellent. Justin took great care of us--attentive, thoughtful, and easy to talk to--and the food was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Musaafer is clearly a special place. With the right seating to match the experience, it really shines.
