No one at our party complained! Here's what my brothers and I ordered from the catering menu for 4/20/2024: COMPLETE DINNER PLANS - SERVED BUFFET STYLE, MINIMUM 10 PEOPLE. We had approximately 50 people. + "EXECUTIVE" plan - Includes three meats, two sides, bread, pickles, sauce (3 variations: mild, sweet & sour, & spicy) and place settings. + We chose ribs, brisket, turkey, scalloped potatoes, mac n cheese... + this package also came with sliced jalapeños & onions + Additionally we ordered 50 dinner rolls (everyone loved these) + 20 corn cobbettes + 1 ranch broccoli super spud (I mean they are HUGE potatoes LOL) + large plain cheese pizza (separate charge from BCP but same delivery) Our delivery went great by one solo employee. My significant other helped him. Our bill came out to $1,055.14. No deposit was required. They simply asked that I call in on the day of the delivery to provide a card number over the phone. While my chicken fried steak was just a little bit overcooked and hard to slice into with the provided plastic knife, it was still Southern-style delicious with the cream gravy, mashed potatoes, a fresh roll, green beans with real bacon bits, and a huge brownie on the side with a bottled water ($15). The owner was such a friendly, generous person. She was outside her food truck - not trailer - during this lunchtime event talking to folks waiting in line. Her employees/helpers were very amicable too. I've always heard great things about this food truck, but never had the opportunity to visit it. So glad I did. MaMa E's was established in 2018. Their motto is "where you can taste love in the grub." That's for sure! Their setup was for a large group in downtown Hobbs, so many tickets were pre-sold, but their food truck was nice and clean inside and out - I snooped! Lol. They offered $7.99 delivery through delivery.com which was available via Yelp. That delivery price next to a $2.95 service charge was steep, but I was desperate because I felt like absolute garbage and I rarely take medicine when I'm down. I like to sweat it out with spicy food, cold wet rags, Vicks VapoRub - & now that I'm older - a strong, delicous homemade hot toddy! When I pushed the order through I got a text message at 1:07 saying they were swamped and would be late. The app even said it would be delivered between 1:44-2:14PM. I'm a numbers gal so bear with me... I thought I had time for a nice long needed nap. Nope. I submitted the order at 12:44PM. A nice lady with a smile on her face rang my doorbell at 1:25PM. My order arrived perfect and packed neatly with no messes that I've experienced from other birria places (not in Hobbs because I know of only two others). The broth, also known as consomme broth de birria, was not quite as flavorful as I have had, yet, it was good. I ordered an extra cup ($2.69) because I love to drink that stuff when I've got sinus congestion. The shining star was the Mulitas de Birria ($14.19) with sliced limes and extra onions and cilantro on the side. All four mulitas were still amazingly piping hot - and their brick and mortar is clear on the other side of town! The tortillas still had a slight crispiness to them. They did not skimp on the meat. It was moutwatering good with the green salsa, but that red spicy salsa - that's where it's at. They threw in a few of the cutest, smallest tortilla chips I've every had. They were well-salted. I knew I wouldn't get enough salsa because I never do, so I ordered an extra cup of that red spicy salsa ($4.19). Also, I ordered two jalapeños toreados ($1.58) on the side.
