There was a long, sheer, floral mermaid dress (long in the back and short in the front) but sadly my size wasn't available, with small shops like this, sizes aren't stocked as plentiful. However, other things caught my eye and I wandered off in shopping bliss. There are a few good items for the price but sometimes, I find items I can buy for cheaper else wear. Regardless, a nice shop to browse and find hidden goodies. Customer service is always friendly and welcoming.

I noticed a hand crafted necklace on one of the team and they ordered for me for next week pick up---I love it! I would highly recommend 'popping in' to have a look--there is something for everyone. I got lost in the racks of gorgeous items - and ended up purchasing TWO incredible pieces. One a longer than floor length high waisted pleated a-line style skirt and a jersey style comfortable skirt with a high slit in the front. These two pieces were on sale and an absolutely steal! So classy and elegant. This store is awesome and filled to the brim with unique pieces made for a lady with an adventurous soul! So pleased I stopped in!!

Upon entering, I was amazed at the talent of the local designers' work. There are some beautifully tailored pieces made with high quality material/fabrics throughout the shop. I can't really afford much of the clothing right now because I am a student. However, I will be coming back again and again because of the jewelry. I am in love with the vintage reworks by the various local designers. Lots of the jewelry are one-of-a-kind and handmade. I bought 2 necklaces: one for $32 (on sale, regular $40), and one for $38. I'd say these prices are fair. The owner is awesome. She's extremely knowledgeable, talkative and friendly with everyone that comes in. She isn't pushy and you can tell that local fashion is her passion. If you are unable to attend the city's local craft markets, then this is the place to be! I plan on taking a peak at Little Dream on Granville Island very soon! I have a feeling Dream is just a taste of the one-of-a-kind stuff. There must be more at the other location!

Rather Lushuz offers a packed, secreted boutique feel being just a half-block west of where most Fourth Ave. shopping ends. I found lots of cute dresses here that I refused to try on, knowing that my credit cards are currently experiencing some swipe-burn. The shoe/boot selection is really limited. Finding something you like here in footwear will be pure chance. For party dresses, sparkling tops, and skirts with a unique cut, I'll definitely be making regular rounds at Lushuz in the future.

Along with a few pairs of high-end boots and shoes of great design, Lushuz carries some fabulous pieces from such labels as Only and a number of other trendy and up-to-the minute styles from International designers. This is the place to come for a bold cocktail dress in rich colours or even sequins, and jackets and coats in classic cuts and modern prints and materials. When I was shopping for a very specific suit two years ago Plum was the only spot to deliver fit and meet the criteria. Plus it was on sale. The changing rooms at this location are clean and spacious: plenty of hooks and bench space. As an added bonus is that the mirrors are well-lit and flattering. I've always appreciated the friendliness of the staff here. They'll happily check for sizes at other locations, etc. and generally try to help.

The prices were very fair for the quality, every dress I tried on was under $200. When I was there I was the only person in the store, so I felt very comfortable when I was trying on dresses in front of the manager and my boyfriend. She was so sweet, very helpful and gave me heels to wear when I was looking in the mirror. She helped me chose my dress and was perfectly on the line between giving me time and space to decide, but also telling me how gorgeous the dresses looked. I felt no pressure to purchase, but when you try the right dress on, you know! She also had shoes in store that we very modestly priced, a cute pair of loafers only $40. Other, short dresses were more copious around the store, as well as jewelry and tops. I didn't have time to explore all the racks, but any upcoming occasion I have I will no doubt be returning here first. Cheapest prices, cutest, trendiest clothes and the sweetest girl running it all. Definitely recommend you giving this place a try. The only downside to this place is that it's not a chain, so if it's not on the racks it's not available, but I actually really like that. It adds to the uniqueness of the dress, especially for events such as graduation.

A simple and clean blue and white scheme, a large open space, a couple of racks of clothing, a simple artsy armchair, and Kelsi Dagger shoes! Their careful selection of clothing reflects in the brands that they choose: Covet, Something Else, Gentle Fawn, Spiewalk, Designers Remix, and a couple of other newly discovered brands today. Lots of cute tops and dresses, jeans, as well as a good collection of jackets. Oh, did I mention that they also carry Kelsi Dagger shoes (Pour La Victoire's sister line). They have jewlery by Blee Inara, which were very unique pieces. They only have one change room though, so it could sometimes be a bit of a wait. So happy that I discovered this shop! However, touching the clothes, it definitely had quality in every piece. I was very tempted to buy a high-wasted rose pink flowy skirt for $56 but I stopped the little shopping devil inside me. I loved the very dainty and unique jewelry that adorned the shop as well - there was a feel for antique, aztec and modern jewelry scattered around the room. A very cute addition to Steveston.
