Current Home is the absolute worst company and worst customer service I have ever experienced. The fact that we are in a 25 year contract with them for thousands of dollars for solar panels on our HOME is terrifying that their service is as non-existent as it is. After initially signing documents, everything since then has been a complete disaster with the most negligent customer service ever. We needed a new electrical panel, so Current Home contracted out a company to complete that job where we would lose power for 4-6 hours. The workers took two whole days to complete the job and stayed till midnight the first day, with zero communication that it would take longer, causing us to lose ALL of our food in the fridge and freezer. I contacted Mikayla who set everything up for us about being compensated or getting out of our contract. She couldn't answer most of those questions and sent us to her supervisor, Heaven, who quickly passed us along to her supervisor, Olivia. After expressing our disappointment and fear of being tied to them for 25 years with this kind of a start, and after a lot of back and forth, they did end up compensating us for the lost food, but it was a rough start nonetheless. The panels were installed, but during installation, one of the panels was shattered after the workers dropped it and after an entire month, they sent out one of their workers to inspect something, where he let us know that TEN of our 21 panels were not hooked up properly and were not producing. So for the entire first month we were producing less than half of what we should have. We, of course, had a large Edison bill still and asked to be compensated for at least our bill (that was back in May, it's now the end of August and we still have not been compensated or given an answer). I called Mikayala, Olivia, the main customer service line, every day for weeks getting no response from ANYONE at the company. After calling the customer service line, I asked to speak to Olivia's supervisor, the owner of the company, where they reluctantly gave me a phone number (which was just their main phone number), an email address, and just his first name. I emailed and called and never got a response. I am baffled by the lack of organization, communication, and common decency. I can never get a hold of anyone at the company for weeks on end, literally leaving voicemails asking for "anyone at Current Home to call me back to answer my questions." We are paying thousands of dollars for this service that is supposed to be all encompassing and better than the other companies and we are completely on our own in navigating this.When I do finally speak to someone, the tone and demeanor is condescending and leaves me feeling like I'm wasting their time, even though I'm the one spending weeks on end trying to get a hold of anyone. We've had Current Home for 5 months and we have still had an Edison bill every single month. We asked for help in configuring our Tesla app settings and finally got some suggestions. After following their suggestions, we now have our largest Edison bill yet, which makes me think they may have just been messing with us because we've had so many problems. Current Home does NOT care about keeping their customers happy. The last time I spoke to Olivia was the end of June, where I asked about our compensation question from that very first month and for help in figuring out how to order an extension pack for our battery, because our panels and battery are not performing like we were told they would. She told me that she would have an answer for me after July 4th since most of the company was out for the holiday already. It's now August 24 and I still haven't heard anything back, despite calling and leaving voicemails for weeks. We have even reached out to DUKE several times and he is now not returning calls. Current Home and anyone associated with the company is just out right horrible. We would literally rather pay Edison our ridiculous electric bills than deal with the headaches and chaos that is Current Home. read more

I had a great experience with Current Home and our salesman Adam. I've been declining solar panel solicitations for years now, but had recently started re considering them after speaking with friends who have them and remembering how high my electric bill was last summer. When I answered the door and met Adam, something made me agree to set up an appointment. I think because he looked professional and already had a simple chart showing the price increase Edison was starting March 1st. When I met with Adam and TJ his boss, they were very approachable and knowledgeable. My prior experience with a solar consultant was no where near as good as this one was. They only spoke of the price for the panels and showed no data if this would be beneficial to me. TJ actually called Edison with my permission. Logged all my past payments and usage for the last year on his laptop and broke down the cost savings and how much more I would spend if I didn't grandfather in my current plan. Also, there are new options to finance the panels that weren't available years ago. I paid nothing upfront, in fact they write you a check for one year of payments! No problem getting the check. After the installation and final review, I received the check in 2 days. I appreciated the personal service. Adam always returned texts or calls promptly. Current Home takes care of all the work...HOA signatures, Edison statements, account set up etc. I had an outlet problem 2 weeks after my install and had to call an electrician. The problem traced back to the re-wire to the new panel. Easy fix. I submitted my invoice and a photo of the problem on the panel to Adam and he was able to reimburse me the cost. It's rare these days to do business with a company that actually places a homeowner front & center; and that's what I've experienced through all phases of doing business with Current Home from my first point of contact with the company. I spoke with Mr Fox regarding my needs to reduce bills that seem to have gotten outrageously high over the past 18 months, even though my lifestyle/situation really hasn't changed - that bill just kept jumping! Tommie was able to keep the process straightforward & simple for us and made sure I knew what company I was speaking with, unlike so many companies that call & gather your information, then hang up. Thanks to him, my consultation was efficient, informative and our family was quickly able to see more benefits than we had even considered - more than just monthly savings (which is great!) but also how we could take back control of our own finances and be able to live with a lot less stress. I went into this thinking I would just put an end to high monthly bills & what I ended up with was an end to a toxic "relationship" with my electric company. I admit, I was skeptical about the entire process, having been burned by a few companies previously due to what seemed like them just wanting to get me to sign my name on a dotted line, without much explanation - or explanations that spoke around my issues, rather than directly addressed them. This company, as a whole, really knows what it's doing & does it very well; they've earned my trust, as well as my respect - and that's never been an easy thing to do. My husband and I engaged Current Home in Hemet, California to install solar with battery storage. What should have been a straightforward project has turned into a nightmare of mismanagement, broken promises, and outright misrepresentation. From the start, we were shuffled between multiple "project managers," none of whom provided consistent communication or accountability. The company assured us our 2,200-square-foot home would generate approximately 23,000 kWh annually. In reality, over the past three months, the system has produced a mere 620 kWh per month--a fraction of what was promised. Despite paying over $400 per month for solar, we continue to receive electric bills exceeding $400. In other words, we are paying double for energy while receiving none of the savings we were sold. At this point, it would have been financially wiser never to have installed solar at all. The customer service is equally appalling. Calls go unanswered for weeks, and promises of follow-up are routinely ignored. Our assigned case manager, Melissa, exemplifies the problem: she is dismissive, unhelpful, and more focused on reminding us that "this call is recorded" than on resolving issues. That constant disclaimer speaks volumes about the company's fear of legal repercussions. This is not just poor service--it is false advertising. I am preparing to escalate this matter to California regulatory agencies. Bottom line: Stay far away from Current Home. They misrepresent their capabilities, fail to deliver results, and provide some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

Had a great experience with Devon Lannie! From the start he was super patient with me and my wife's questions, and although he was diligent to make sure he followed up, I never felt like he was being pushy. He made sure to address my concerns, and took the time to help us find the solar solution that not only fit our budget but our future needs. He's transparent and made it super easy for me to understand the process. The Solar System has been installed for about a month now. As the permitting and install and inspection process progressed, Devon no longer needed to be involved (although he did follow up often to make sure our needs were being met) and I started corresponding with Micayla who was our project coordinator. What I expected would've been a stressful experience turned out to be extremely easy. Micayla communicated with me often, keeping me updated on the progress of our project. During periods of silence where I was tempted to reach out, she would text or call just to tell me not to worry all is going well. Above all however, she ensured that I only needed to stay home from work three times, for installation and inspection; and that only because we have a gated property. Anyways, the reason I bring that up is because she always made sure to ask ahead of time for my availability which is often not the norm for me. I would definitely recommend Current Home for any Solar business. They have been helpful right from the jump from the sales person to the very end where Edison allows us to turn on our equipment. They have been helpful. Any questions I ever had and trust me I was constantly texting with questions and I never had to wait the next day to get an answer. They answered immediately as soon as they received my text. If I needed help in completing something a form that I needed to fix or complete they helped me with that I've dealt with Sunrun Solar a few times before I finally went to Current Home and Sunrun was just giving me a lot of runaround so I ended up going with Current Home and it was just by the grace of God that they showed up at my door. I totally recommend Current Home and Micayla and Heather have been the most helpful on their team, i'm sure there are others on their team that are just as helpful. It's just that they were the two that I dealt with through the whole process and I'm so happy to have my solar up. They did my roof which of course I have to pay back, but it's not even so much that it's killing me. It is so worth it to get it done. You just have to have a credit score of I believe 650 or 690 and above, $0 (zero) down, no money out of pocket and that is even with my roof getting done, my entire roof. Lauren and Chip initially walked our neighborhood and stopped to talk to us as we were cleaning our RV. Usually, we blow people off when they try and sell things but something was different about them. They were not pushy at all. Instead, they were super friendly, inquisitive about our lives, and genuinely interested. We agreed to set up a a meeting with them for the next day, at a time when worked best for us, not them. We knew basics about solar, how it works, etc. But the knowledge they provided us was so much more than we expected. They answered all of our questions, all of our "what if's," and present and future concerns were addressed. We were so impressed with their knowledge, kindness, and patience with us. They are truly amazing people. We signed up with them. They did all of the paperwork, HOA (they paid those fees), permit and neighbors signatures. We never had to lift a finger! From the sales process (Wayne was amazing to work with) to installation and getting the Permission to Operate from Edison, the experience with Current Home has well-exceeded our expectations! First, the communication via text and phone about milestones was near-perfect: we were made aware when the plans were finalized for our 14 panels. Installation was scheduled promptly and was complete within about 6-7 hours. Every representative from Current Home that visited the house was professional and knowledgeable. The final inspection was completed just prior to the city signing off on the work and, from that point, PtO from Edison was confirmed less than a week later. At the core of this experience were Heaven & Justina - they were the ones to get everything coordinated and notify me of all updates. Particularly through the last couple weeks, Justina made sure that timelines were being met and that I was aware of the important milestones, resulting in a great solar system that will save us hundreds this year alone. One of the sales reps from this company knocked on my door. I usually politely tell sales people I'm not interested, and I've had I swear a 1000 solar people stop by. I've actually even looked into solar twice before, but felt the one guy was not honest and the other company didn't really seem to have a program that worked for my situation. When I met Lauren at my door, I could very quickly tell she actually knew her stuff, and was able to answer my tough questions right away. So, I decided to set an appointment with her to give solar one last try before I gave up on it. The next day Lauren came back, showed us options I didn't even know were available and was finally able to find a program that worked for me. During the installation process, Lauren showed up every time the contractors were here just to make sure the guys took care of everything just like we talked about, since im a big stickler about the details. We used Current Home Solar to install a whole house solar system supplied by Sunnova. Duke was our representative and he was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Our project coordinators were Amiah and Micayla. Both of these coordinators were excellent. They responded quickly to any requests or questions we had as the project progressed. In addition to the solar system, they also coordinated a roof replacement. Everyone we interacted with at Current Home Solar was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Our electric bill has gone from almost $900 in summer to about $50 in fall. The phone app has also worked flawlessly and has allowed us to monitor the system in real time including solar production, current usage, and battery status. It also tracks energy exported to the grid. The information provided by "Duke" has been correct and reliable in every instance. We had called other Solar companies but were not impressed with their marketing scare tactics and financing options. My first contact at Current Home was with their Sales Consultant, Glenn Stalter. He was an absolute pleasure to talk to. He was well informed, answering all of our questions thoroughly and patiently during the entire process. There was never any pressure or scare tactics in our conversations . He understood we wanted to ensure we were grandfathered into NEM2 before the state deadline and worked to make that happen. The Project Coordinator, Amiah Landin kept the project on schedule and kept us informed. Financing the project through Dividend was a breeze. The Current Home inspector, Andrew, was thorough and answered all of our follow up questions. I installed a 14.4kw system with Current Home, working closely with Megan Mead in the process. And, it was frankly a great experience. Megan is very knowledgeable and responsive. She is also organized and communicates effectively. The Current Home panel prices were a bit higher than average, but they made up for with excellent finance rates and other incentives. Additionally, their business model is well built around a suite of software tools that made the process easy to visualize, understand, and then keep up with after installation. On that note, all stages in the process were seamless. The solicitor who came to my door to schedule a meeting with Megan was wonderful, Megan is awesome, the installation was fast and involved a very professional team, the office staff were responsive to any of my needs, and they took care of all elements of inspection before go-live in such a way that I basically didn't have to lift a finger. However, after the appointment with Robb Stephenson, I was amazed on how transparent he made the information and about how I could save a lot of money that would In turn benefit my family during the covid pandemic. Current Home has been courteous, professional, and on-time with every promise they made. I am very happy with my solar purchase and install from this team. From the very start with Raymond our salesperson, he was very happy to show us all options and we felt very comfortable working with him. Once we agreed to move forward, Amiah was assigned to us as the project manager who kept in touch with us the whole time. Just about once a week I would get a call or text from her just to keep me in the loop on the schedule and planned install. Any questions I had and she was there to answer them. Today was inspection day and Donald was my tech who met with the inspector and activated the system. He answered all my questions and after the city inspector checked everything, it was all a pass and we are now online with solar.
