Like many others during the pandemic my husband and I settled into a routine. Part of that routine was him taking the trash out every night before bed so we didn't wake up to the smell of last night's onion trimmings for breakfast with our morning coffee. This worked out well until the holidays this year when a turkey carcass was taken to the bin mid-day and a shocking discovery was made in the light of day. At the bottom of our trash bin was a disgusting, yet colorful, moldy mess primarily consisting of the remains of cupcakes. We last had cupcakes on July 4th weekend, and to say they had not aged well would be the understatement of the century. I couldn't even begin to fathom how to clean this, because no matter what, those "cupcakes" would either end up in our yard (eww) or the gutter where we'd probably be fined for dumping toxic waste, or worse face the ire of our neighbors. A quick search for solutions online led me to Curbside Bin Cleaners. I signed up on their website and they quickly scheduled a cleaning following my next trash day. They texted reminders the week of, the day before, and when they were 20 minutes away just in case I hadn't left the cans out. (Which is something I can imagine happening once this becomes routine, but today we were experiencing a level of anticipation like that of a six year old waiting for Santa to arrive.) Ramiro and Jeannette arrived in CBC's Bin cleaning truck and set out to work. First capturing "before" photos and then loosening the grime before loading the bins into their truck mounted pressure cleaning rig. When they came down, the bins were inspected but they still were not up to snuff it appeared so they were run through again. Ramiro then pressure washed the exterior, before wiping down and sanitizing the bins with a pressure mister. When finished cleaning, after photos were taken and the bins were taken from the street and placed on the side of my house. Before leaving Ramiro texted us the before and after photos and thanked us for supporting a small local business. Upon inspection of the bins my husband declared them "showroom fresh." This is saying a lot since these bins are at least ten years old. To say we were happy with the result would be an understatement. We have signed up to have our bins cleaned monthly from this point forward and can not recommend them more highly. read more

I loved the fact that they came almost immediately after my bins were picked up and they came with masks and gloves and went straight to work.
