I hired Eduardo Garnica (E&JJS Concrete Construction) for a backyard project that included…read moreconcrete, turf, and pavers. We agreed on a total price of $8,750. I paid $1,000 in cash as a deposit and an additional $2,375 via Venmo for materials at his request. After payment was made, the project was delayed multiple times. Only minimal framing work was completed, and the concrete pour that was scheduled never happened. Communication then stopped completely. I made multiple attempts to contact him by phone and text and received no response. I also requested a refund, which was not returned. As of now, I am out $3,375 with no completed work. I would strongly caution anyone considering hiring this contractor.

It was weekend and we were not able to find anyone. We contacted few and they were charging whatever they felt like. Imagine a house with no water and 8 month pregnant lady, that was our situation. Thats when Luis came to the rescue, I contacted 3 - 4 services on yelp and he was the only one who answered. It was late in the night and he kept guiding me throughout on the messages. He wasn't well and was not in the city, yet he answered patiently to all my questions. I can assure you he is there to help you no matter what. Finally when we were not able to figure out and nothing could be done he suggested a friend who could come in the morning and help us. The person he recommended was great and he did the job within minutes and charged us reasonably. Luis, you have been truly helpful and we are so thankful to you. Though we have not met and when there are people in the world to just make quick bucks, you are here to truly help someone in real problem. Thank you for all that you have done and god bless.

While they were at our property, we decided we wanted to get the palm tree skinned as well. It was something we've been putting off for many years. We were able to negotiate a mutually agreeable price. The skinning project was to have been completed on Monday but due to a variety of events, the project was not completed until Thursday. We expressed our frustration to the company about the project extending over multiple days and the debris in our pool between days. This disrupted some of our planned activities. When the project was finished, they cleaned the pool of all debris and made sure the surrounding area was clean. The four stars is due to the challenges we faced mid project. The end product was outstanding, and the pricing was competitive.
