As a SmartPay customer, I love getting the free beverages and occasional surprise rewards, but even if I had to pay, 99 cents won't break the bank and is far cheaper than any other coffee-on-the-go. This morning I stepped out of a gray, grumpy day into the store and was immediately met with a cheerful "good morning" from the girl who was CLEANING the counters. Poured myself a large cuppa joe fixed just the way I like it, brought it to the counter and received another "good morning," showed my freebie bar code and was on my merry way. I love Cumberland farms, but the one in wethersfield is never clean or stocked at any given time. Today at 630am garbage was overflowing inside and outside. They were out of vanilla cappuccino again! I'm so disappointed in this store, that I stopped going. I was hoping after some time it might of improved, but not the case. Updating my review of this newly renovated CF, knocking off a star. Stopped in on my way to my CT home from work where I was promptly tempted by the display showing a giant soft pretzel for $1.99. Being a soft pretzel guy, I wanted one. Sadly, I couldn't have one due to the clerk's excuse of "I don't know if we have anymore in the freezer. And it will take awhile to heat up, anyway." Said clerk then went back to stocking the chips. Oh, okay. So, I took my 89¢ iced tea and was on my way. I'll know better than to ask anything of the associates next time. Still the cheapest gas in the area, though. And it's Good Gulf Gas, so that's a plus. read more

I love Cumberland farms but this particular one is just awful. The staff are (sometimes) nice, but it's almost always a mess. The past few times I have been the garbage has been overflowing, the floor and counter sticky and what really did it this last time was the coffee drain was clogged and just a stopped river of unwanted coffee was under the machines. Now that 7-11 has opened next door and has cheaper gas, 1.00 for any coffee, CLEAN, very modern machines (even one that can grind and brew right on the spot) and each staff member has been exceedingly pleasant. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be going back to this Cumby's any time soon! I also noticed this Cumberland farms does not keep its sandwiches as stocked as others. That case is almost always empty- or close to it- any time of the days. Well, maybe it's because they are so busy but I don't think they keep much of anything as stocked as they could. read more

At first I thumbed my nose at the program, but once I went through the histrionics of signing up, I am very glad that I did so. -10 cents off every gallon of gas. -It's not a credit card, it simply deducts from your checking account. -The linked smartphone app lets you activate the pump from the comfort of your car before you even get out of it. Sound like a pointless use of technology? Not when it's 17 degrees outside! -A free beverage every 30 gallons of gas you buy, redeemable from the smartphone app. -Other random freebies like free sodas and slushes appear at times. Cumberland Farms is my go-to place for gas and coffee on the Berlin Turnpike. Yes, sometimes the gas is a bit pricier, but its convenient for my drive to and from work. The staff members there are always friendly and a little kindness towards them will totally change the way they act towards you. I love their coffee. Why go do Dunkin Donuts when you can get more for less at Cumberland Farms? 99 cents for any size is a great deal. My granddaughter who's 15 years old asked me if she should take my 25-year-old autistic son into the store for treats (chips and a soda) (to assist him) I said that would be great! This is a normal routine for her to assist my special needs son. While I was pumping gas reference #540364 @ Cumberland 9767, maybe I was pumping gas for 3-4 minutes. When I finished I went into the store to help the kids finish selecting and to pay for our items. But I walked into a situation! These are my granddaughters' words: 'B" granddaughter and "K"(my autistic son) walked in and B asked K to wait in front of the pastries when she went to choose a Hershey bar, then together they walked over to the chips and K choose some chips, then they went to the candy aisle together" a male worker asked if they were finding everything ok, B said yes and then they walked over to the ice cream aisle, not even 1 min later, the manager from cash register in front of everyone in the store loud enough for everyone to hear manager said in a firm voice, "If your not going to buy anything you need to get out"! My granddaughter explained my son was autistic and needed more time. The manager looked over to her co-worker and said loud enough for the store to hear "I don't believe her, she's lying". Another customer spoke up "And she is not lying and explained how she could recognize that K was autistic and B was telling the truth that he was autistic. The Manager asked if that customer was babysitting my kids the customer said no, but I use to work with autistic kids". B corrected them all said she was babysitting and as she said he's autistic and he just needs more time and then that's where I walk in. The other customer and Bree start explaining how they were being told to leave and told me the manager was kicking out my kids! The manager attempted to apologize by explaining "They were kids acting suspicious and she didn't know he was autistic, a lot of kids come in and she catches them stealing. That the other worker alerted her to the kids and their suspicious behavior, that's why she told them to leave." My son was acting unusual, unusual isn't an attempt to steal or a reason to be told to get out! This is so unacceptable I don't know where to even start! The kids were being profiled falsely and told to get out, they were being denied service and were being discriminated against. This is also a case of being bullied by adults and employees of position. My non-verbal autistic son that has epilepsy, he doesn't get to do very many things except maybe going into a small store to pick out-choose what he wants rather than having his family choose everything for him. He does look longer than I'm sure most patrons but that's not against the law when we're talking 5-10 at that most. My granddaughter started to cry when we got back to the car, I asked her why? "I felt hurt and embarrassed because we were being kicked out for not doing anything and I felt helpless and hurt for K, and for being judged especially for something K can't control. She was emotional and bothered by the incident! I believe based on my grand-daughters statement, the statement of the other customer and even the managers comment directly to me, those kids were being harassed, bullied, publically humiliated, verbally abused, falsely profiled and discriminated against for their age, race, and my son's disability (unusual activity) and not necessarily in that order! This unfair and unjust! "Sorry" just isn't good enough, especially after I found out my grand-daughter was called a liar and the manager telling her she did not believe her that my son was autistic, the manager did not tell them they could stay at that point either. I would never go here again. My card number was "pawned" here when I bought coffee. My card number was then used at a Cumberland Farms in RI within 30 minutes of making the purchase here. My bank caught the charges and shut my card off. I called Cumberland Farms customer service line to make them aware of the situation. The lady looked into my transactions and was extremely rude. Basically saying it was on me and my bank to take care of the situation. I assured her that was already taken care of, that I was alerting them to the fact that there was clearly a security breach of some sort at this store. But to take no responsibility or apologize and then speak so rudely to me, I won't be got back to a Cumberland farms again. Has anyone else had a similar issue there lately? read more

Fantastic and really nice staff. Place is always clean and though busy, they get how to deal with lines at the register. snacks are a bit on the expensive side to offset their 24hr being open. I get it. But at 2AM when you want a Chili dog with all the fixings, this is the spot. read more

Cumberland Farms West Springfield, ( older one )terrible! Rude employees who feel the need to correct their customers, lazy, dirty store, find the place littered with drug paraphernalia, always a line while employees are non busy fixing shelves, do not like to make anything they offer, always out of fountain drinks for days, Management obviously does not order for the quantity put out or know how to reach good customer service skills. While their are some great employees in there seems like management lets a lot of the employees control the store. Never will go in there again! read more

The store is outdated, the employees are lifeless and the store is somewhat unclean. Today me and one of my clients went into the store where I used the lavatory and found it dirty, the most frustrating part of it was the toilet paper role just shoved in the dispenser so tight it would not even dispense. It is shameful to have to use the big role of paper towels they had out I guess to wipe your butt with, , and top it all off there was no soap to properly wash your hands. When I brought the issues to managers attention he told me four times that the soap dispenser was broken. The reason I kept repeating the issue is I was in Hope's he would leave the counter and take some off the shelf and put it in mens lavatory. The manager continued to stand there and look totally clueless. Its frustrating when something such as hygiene of this sort is so important, but it seems the manager is not concerned that people are walking out of the mens bathroom with possible fecal and urine on their hands. I really do not appreciate people especially when they put the public's health at risk. I will never go in that store ever again. read more

went here to get a coffee because i heard it was good and cheap instead of going to Dunkin donuts which would usually cost me almost 4 dollars for a medium cold brew just black no cream or sugar . So i tried out the large hot coffee and i even gave myself some flavor cream and one packet of sugar which tasted so good hit the spot and off i was to go study at the library which is cold in there so that's why i chose a hot coffee in the middle of a summery hot day. but the place was very clean so much on the go sandwich's to hots dogs to fruit amazing...the large hot coffee cost me $1.05 ..The place was clean and very busy only thing is would be nice if they would notice there costumers and say good afternoon or how is everything!! but either then that the employees were nice and friendly...would recommend to come here !! read more

Coffee is great. Workers are friendly. Reason for poor review is the bathroom (mens). Why so dark. Been like that for close to a year. Bulb over the sink has been out way too long. Don't they see that? The other bulbs are under sized. Could be cleaner as well. There use to be someone there always mopping something - haven't seen him for a while.
