A shoutout to Jamie; who excelled as a cashier and loves her job. Her daughter is one of the managers. The grandchildren order the kids meal, that offers anything ice cream. I get the fish dinner, featuring mouth watering cod, and 2 additional side dishes. My wife experimented by ordering the grilled chicken sandwich and stated that is the best in GR. We got a Culver's gift card for Christmas so we figured we may as well use it at a location we'd never been to before. My husband went a little crazy and spent the whole gift card at once. I got a double cheese burger and cheese curds, while my husband got a triple cheese burger and fries. They handled our order quickly. I was a bit confused tho because it would appear that when they heard me say no tomato they took off all condiments so I had just a burger with cheese. I was quite disappointed to say the least but I was hungry so I delt. I typically go to the location in Stevensville but when traveling, I do tend to look for Culvers because the are consistently quick, delicious and the only fast food place I know that has frozen custard. Purchased a Pot roast beef sandwich basket. Got all the way home, and found that very little meat was on the buns, it more bun than meat. Just awful. Called to express disappointment, was told I'd have to return that night with sandwich to get a replacement with correct amount of meat. I don't know about anyone else but after coming home and expecting a decent sandwich for my seven dollars I really didn't feel like making a special 8-Mile trip in order to get another sandwich with the proper amount of meat. On occasion this has happened before at other locations but I was given the option of picking up a replacement on another day. I've been told that sometimes they run out of meat and skimp on some pot roast beef sandwiches. Gasoline and my time is worth something too. I probably won't be back, but if I do I'm opening the box to see what I end up with before going home. It's sad that it comes to this, but my trust has been broken by Culver's too many times. If you buy this sandwich I suggest you check too before you leave cause this happens about one in five times getting this particular sandwich. read more

Like I had mentioned in my previous review, most of the staff is young and learning the ropes of working in general. This couldn't be more evident in my latest visit. My dad and I dropped by for dinner, and I ordered the garden fresco with grilled chicken salad, no croutons, and no cheese, with a small drink. We take our cups, the number and find a seat, and minutes later, our food arrives. My dad's food comes fine, and my salad indeed has no cheese or croutons, but it is also missing the chicken. After bringing this up, it turned out that our cashier had input my salad order wrong, so I was told that the chicken would be brought within a few minutes. Nearly 10 minutes pass with no sign of the chicken coming. Finally, I went up front, where it turned out that a shift change in staff had just occurred, and my order was put aside without further instruction for the following shift. It was given to me, but not just the chicken was made; it came with an entirely new salad as well, including the croutons (no cheese though). I ended up just taking off the croutons and eating both salads, but it was still a little inconvenient. The manager came to us a little later with an apology and two free coupons, one for a meal and one for a 2-scoop ice cream. Overall, the staff are clearly still learning, but the management and genuine interest in assuring the customers satisfaction is there. I get it, stuff happens; I've eaten here many times and had no issues, other times something like this would happen; the same can be said for any chain restaurant. In the end, the food was good, and hospitality and grace was shown in unintentional errors. I will undoubtedly continue to drop by again in the future. read more

Food is consistently good at most Culver's. General manager here was recently observed grabbing rough a young female employee and talking to her. He also was observed raising voices at an older couple eating. I feel real bad for them all. He's really quite brash and rude. Was told he was the local store general manager. read more

This is my go-to for fast food. I feel a bit less guilty about it since the sandwiches are made-to-order. Today my kids loved biting into gooey grilled cheese & finished their applesauce & milk in record time. That might have been in part that the reward of cheese curds was dangling over their heads. My hubby enjoyed his fully loaded double bacon cheeseburger, which was loaded with flavor! I branched out, tried the chili & was rewarded with a hot cup of flavorful meat, beans, tomatoes & veggies. The chili powder was just right & I didn't find it spicy at all (trust me, I'm a wimp with spicy stuff!). I would happily go back for the chili alone...but then splurge on the custard! I am a big fan of Culver's. It is always nice to receive the same friendly service at all the Culver's around the US. You know you will be receiving great food as well as friendly service. We stopped at this Culver's on a Sunday for a quick sit down lunch, as we did not have time for a sit down restaurant but didn't want something like McDonalds or burger king. I tried the chicken noodle soup for the first time, as I was not that hungry. It was delicious!! The noodles tasted homemade and the chicken pieces were juicy. 3.5 stars. This place is a solid fast-food option in the area. The place is kept clean, the service is prompt and reasonably friendly and the food is consistent. I would not call this "the best place for burgers" by any means, but they are decent if you get extra meat and top them with the fresh-tasting cheddar. The real bonus is the large selection of other menu items. The chicken fingers are consistently meaty, crispy on the outside while being tender and juicy on the inside. The fries are your typical, crinkle-cut variety but I have never found them greasy or overdone, unlike most other chains. The Pot-Roast and Reuben sandwiches are better than you'd expect, as is the fish, if you're not in the mood for beef or chicken. I like this place and will typically stop here when I'm racing around the area for work. read more

Went in for custards tonight as take-out. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and we placed our order within 2 mins of going in. It took almost 15 (FIFTEEN) minutes to get 4 small custards. There were plenty of employees, some just standing around, that could fulfill our order. Sadly, this is the closest Culver's to my house. First time at Culver's in over 15 years, as they don't have them down south. I ordered a Culver's double deluxe cheese burger basket, and decided to try the fried cheese curds for something different. My burger was delicious, and huge! The fried cheese curds tasted like bite sized mozzarella sticks. My meal was delicious! As we were walking out, we noticed a freezer near the front that had pints of their frozen custard with various candies in them four for $10.99, so we picked out four to munch on later, as our meals were very filling. This is one of my favorite restaurants. They have great food and I love the variety of soups. They have Pepsi, my favorite pop ever. I really wish they would bring back their hot dogs, however. Those were soooo good. I've been to many Culver's in Michigan and other states, but there is something special about this one on 54th St. in Wyoiming, MI. They are more bland than I remember them. Just doesn't taste the same. Even the curds don't seem as fresh anymore.

Culver's is a solid burger joint staple in our family's rotation. Service is quick, friendly and fresh. I like that I have to wait 2 to 3 minutes for them to whip up my burger fresh. New to the area. Liked the idea of a sweet treat with out meal. I had the tenderloin...very crisp and thicker than most. My wife had the fried chicken. I assume it was prepared to order because it was hot, crisp, and very juicy. Fries were just fries...and the mashed potatoes were decent, but I thought the gravy was a bit too salty. I opted for a pumpkin cheesecake mixer and it was phenomenal. Was really crowded today with the storms, but they seemed to have a good grasp of the situation. Will definitely be back. Bad experience but better food than most fast food places. I have always liked Culver's food but I've always had problems with service and some of the prices. I have to start off by saying that I always get the same few things, butter burgers, cod meals, cheese curds, but it always seems awfully pricey. The biggest offender is the frozen custard, its just way too expensive, whether you're getting a single scoop or a pint, its not worth it for the price even though its really good. The cod is always crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the burgers are way better than other places even if they're pretty thin (honestly it might just be down to the buns thats the best), and the cheese curds are perfection and everyone should experience them. I have only gone inside to eat a few times but I always see the same things, a big group of awfully loud and gross people, and tables that aren't clean. It sometimes takes up to five minutes to find a place to sit where its peaceful or the tables aren't filthy. Then there's also the issue with service, no matter how many people there are inside or at the drive through, its always terribly slow, up to 15 minutes to get food. I always see stuff being made, like in a normal fast food place, so there's no excuse for it to take so long for food and every single time, the workers apologize for how long it takes, regardless if you eat indoors or go through the drive through, this is always a problem. Most places don't have as good food at all but at least if you went there, the workers get your food to you on time and there's always a clean place to sit. In short, food is amazing but the conditions on getting the food (finding a clean place to sit, waiting for food, and paying) just feels like a hassle thats totally unnecessary and this doesn't just apply to this location, unfortunately. read more
