Went to this culvers in West Bend Wisconsin in May 2022 and my wife and I ordered two cones. The custard was grainy and of poor quality. We complained and they sent us a coupon for two Sundays which we went back to use. However the custard was the same poor quality and granny custard we had with the cones. Custard should be smooth and creamy not gritty in Sandy. I don't think we'll be back. read more

Fresh fast food! Even though it is drive thru, the food is made to order. So, once you order, you park around back and wait for the food to be cooked. The burgers (bacon butter burger) are delicious and juicy. Also, the fried cheese curds are fantastic! read more

Super delicious "Butter" burgers, fries and cod fish dinners (among other selections)! Wonderful menu with more than just the burgers and fries. Their frozen custard is very, very good. Their milk shakes, "concrete mixers," sundaes, soups and everything they serve there is excellent. Even their fried chicken is mouthwatering and I think, even better than KFC! Very consistent restaurant chain. Culver's is comparable to "In 'N Out Burger" in California in terms of their hamburgers. So good...... Workers are usually polite; the bathrooms and dining room is kept clean. This is a winner of a fast food chain, believe me. read more

I ordered two butter burger deluxe baskets and it was the most disappointing meal I've had in months. The food came out super fast - which should have been my first clue it wasn't going to be good. The food was absolutely NOT made fresh to order. My second clue was taking it out of the bag - the burger wrappers looked like they fell off and were just slapped on as they were being dropped in the bag. Both burgers were cold and tasted old. The fries were rubbery and cold, definitely had been sitting there for awhile. I will not be returning for a long time. Food is good, but the service is the worst... especially in the drive-thru. They always hand you cups covered in soda or ice cream, and never give you napkins. How hard is it to wipe off a messy cup before handing it to a customer? I've compained to management a few times but nothing ever changes. read more

Not exaggerating. My order is wrong 75 percent of the time. I'm always missing a side. Not sure why they can't have someone verify the order. They have 5 people putting food in the bag , but no one making sure it is accurate. Same response every time, I can get you a coupon, no I want what I paid for and I don't want to drive back. I like coming here for hamburgers and custard. The kids meals are a decent quality and a good price-- especially because custard is included. I like the burgers here, because it tastes closer to homemade than most other fast food places. The chicken strips are pretty good, too. The staff is nice. Sometimes the dining area needs more attention, but it is a busy place. read more

Thought I'd try using a coupon so went here for the walleye and ordered some shrimp to go as well with fries, coslaw and malt. The malt was horrible tasting w ice in it so I asked if they could get me a shake instead and it was icy too. The walleye and shrimp were horribly greasy along with the fries. The coslaw was only half full and the Tatar sauce was too little. All on a very fine plastic plate. I would give food a 4 star but prices drops that down. I have gotten chicken strips off and on since they came to West Bend, WI, sad to say about the last year or so the strips have gotten so small (it's actually like getting a 2 pcs.) & for a 4 piece basket it's over $9.00 with a dollar off coupon. The Sundays are extremely expensive. The other night we went thru drive thru, we sat in line...I kid you not for 25 min. Then we finally get up to window and Sundays are melting. We asked for manager, she comes I explained to her I like to get hot food and don't mind waiting but on the other hand I like my ice cream cold why were we sitting in line for 25 min. She raised her eyebrows and said I agree with you, I was on the phone with another customer who was complaining. She also said they should have had the people pulling off to the sides to keep line going???? Then she makes me 2 more Sundays. I need to also ask, when I get hot food in the drive thru and ice cream, why do they make the ice cream hand it out to you on a hot day and then ask you to move up so you can wait for the hot food while the ice cream is melting??? I love their Mushroom and Swiss Cheeseburger. It was cooked well each time I had ordered. Their Cod Atlantic is also delicious. I would recommend both if anyone asked. I haven't been to Culver's in some years but every time I go their food makes me want to come back for more. Culver's just has the best Mushroom and Swiss burgers around. Love the food, and the service here is fast and friendly. However, they have got to stop asking "Will that be all?" after every item you say at the drive thru. Not sure if it's just this location as I don't really go anywhere else. It makes the drive thru take longer and it's awkward to order for five people. Had a free coupon from corporate for a 2 piece cod dinner because my last order was wrong and they made me wait 40 minutes for my meal. Today went to Culver's to cash in the coupon and received a timely meal without my full order. I went inside to order and they did not give me the ice cream, two scoop vanilla. I was there Sunday, 11/1/15 around 1:15PM and the service was terrible. At any given moment there were 8-10 customers in line and only half of that time was there more than one person at the front counter, (but never more than two), despite an additional 8-10 additional employees there on staff. When I suggested they mention to the manager that they needed more help up front at the counter, the young lady said they were short of staff and busy. (Yes, I understood they were busy.....) At this particular time, the restaurant was only half full. There was also a customer that literally had to wait for 5 minutes just to ask/receive a plastic spoon. When we got our meal for four back home, (8 miles away), we discovered that part of the order was incorrect. A man standing in line next to me said he had been to the Hartford Culvers many times on a Sunday and has never experienced anything like he did at the West Bend Culvers. I am hoping this was a fluke as it was very obnoxious and certainly something I hope to never repeat. read more
