Let me start by saying that I'm a big fan of Culver's BUT this location doesn't live up to the franchise standards. We've stopped a few times thinking the previous visits were just a fluke but, nope, same issues! The food is either not fresh, not hot, or more likely both! If you use the drive thru, be assured your order will be screwed up! How hard is it to get a simple order filled properly?? This franchisee needs to take a good hard look at his operations and make huge improvements. I see from other reviews that I'm not alone in my disappointment. read more

I have had good luck with this Culver's. They are not as cheap as Mcdonalds, but they have items that you can't find at the cheap places.

The family has been wanting to stop in at the new Culver's in New Lenox since it opened a couple of months ago. We finally had a time when we could all make it. So it was a lunch date. We have been to a few different Culver's and for fast food their not bad. I started by ordering the double cheese burger with bacon (a very juicy burger with a good amount of bacon on it), cheese curds (just like deep fried cheese sticks but with Cheddar cheese) and a Mango smoothie (very strong mango flavoring and nice and thick like a shake almost) all for $9 dollars. My wife ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger (nice mix of the mushrooms and swiss cheese) with Chicken Noodle soup (very good soup, my wife always says I could just order the soup and nothing else and that would be fine) and a medium drink for $8 dollars. My oldest son and youngest daughter both ordered the Chicken Tender strips (my son gets the sweet and sour sauce and my daughter gets the honey mustard, good average tasting chicken) with fries and a drink for $7.30 each. Finally the youngest son ordered the deluxe double burger (which he wolfed down in no time flat) with fries and a drink for roughly $7 dollars. So is this gourmet food? No, it's fast food at it's best. The service is very friendly, the place is clean and the prices are reasonable. Easy to see why this location has such a low rating. After waiting almost 10 minutes for our food to be brought out to our car, we get home and my food was wrong. Ordering a bacon burger that doesn't have bacon on it is kind of annoying. If I had wanted a regular burger, I would have asked for one. Their prices are higher than the other Culver's (Orland, Tinley, etc). When I brought this up to the Manager, he told me there is nothing he can do about it. I think I'll just get my Culver's from any of the other surrounding suburbs that are cheaper. read more

This is the worst Culver's I have ever been to and I've been to many. My husband's food came first; he was half done before my food even arrived. They were slow, he doesn't eat that fast. When I did receive my meal it was incorrect. Then we ordered ice cream, my husband's order was now wrong and when he went to the counter to complain they laughed at him. Really, they laughed. That's some great customer service. It's also not very clean for being a fairly new store. I'll drive further to go to another location. read more

Pretty good burgers, I was impressed by the kind service, the cashier seemed to know what she was doing, despite apparently being a hs student. I got there at 11 am on a Sunday, and the place was practically deserted, so service was pretty fast. Prices were similar to prices coming from a small restaurant, rather than a nationwide chain. It was really clean so I'd recommend going inside to eat. read more

Service good, ice cream great, food mediocre. Mushroom & Swiss Butterburger I ordered was a double. The burger came out and the hamburger patties are wafer thin, as if someone put a heavy frying pan on top of them while they were cooking on the grill. Also, couldn't find the mushrooms. read more

Great Culvers! The are friendly quick and helpful. This is my 3 year old son's favorite place to eat, so we come about once a week. They service us well and if I have any issue they are quick to fix. This is "good" fast food at a reasonable price. The kids meals are perfect and a good deal (I ofter order one for myself too). The free ice cream scoop is a bonus! read more

The service is LESS THAN at the New Lenox location. I ordered a 2 piece White Chicken Basket w/ Cole Slaw thru the drive-thru. Had to repeat my order 4 X because she kept saying fries. "No Cole Slaw." She seem preoccupied or not attentive. The cashier apologized for the mix up. I live 30 minutes away but was in the area shopping. Hungry half way home i open my bag and Fries in bag. Needless to say, I was livid and would call Culvers once I got home until I broke off a piece of the wing. It was hard crusty and SALTY. Oh No, I need to take this back. I ask my friend if he would please turn around. I love Culver's Juicy perfectly seasoned chicken. I couldnt believe it. I eat it all the time. Do you know they told me they will to give me the cole slaw since I didnt have a reciept they should provide and not ask. . I said no I paid $7+ and had to come all the way back. The manager believe her name was Stacey or Leslie came out and told me it had been almost an hour she couldnt do anything. It was cold and raining that night. I asked her why would I bother coming all the way back. WHO DOES THAT!!! I gave her the pink receipt and told them keep it I dont want anything. I told her I frequent the Culver's at Matteson, Tinley Park and Homewood and their food is always fresh and consistent and have always provide excellent courteous customer service. I told her I am shocked. The manager defended the chicken batter. what was the point. Seem she was questioning my integrity over 2 pieces of chicken and cole slaw. She went inside while the cashier was left being very apoligitic. I told her I realize it is beyond her control. Thanked her for her time. Then the manager came back out and told her to give me a refund. Kudos...to Matteson, Tinley Park and Homewood locations. Whatever the Owners and General Mangers are doing, please continue because It Works. As for New Lenox That was my LAST visit. read more

Ordered a chicken strip meal and they forgot the bbq sauce. I called them to explain the situation and that I was unable to come back today and would like to get a refund for the meal because plain chicken strips aren't too appetizing. Conor, the restaurant manager, must have thought he was going above and beyond by arguing with me and attempting to fix the mistake by offering a coupon for free bbq sauce (wow!) on my next visit. Too bad the coupon won't be of much use, because I won't be visiting this shitty excuse for a fast food restaurant any more. read more

First we all have to realize.. This still is fast food so my review is based on the average fast food experience....this place is very clean compared to most fast food joints. It has that family diner vibe which is cool. Now for food I always get the grilled chicken sandwich with Honey mustard. It's a really big sandwich to me and is plump and juicy. My mom loves the pot roast despite what people say. Their side salad is also so much fresher with more little veggies than other places in this same genre. The custard I always stick to choc shake or malts... I do think there is a little too much malt in the malt....it's suuuuper grainy and sooooo thick I will break a blood vessel trying to suck it through the straw! All in all this is a much better than average fast food experience and a great addition to New Lenox. I usually come here each time I visit back home since in New Mexico we don't have culvers! read more

First off we have gone here many times when we go shopping in the plaza behind Culver's. The worst service of all time! We were there just around 11am. We placed our order, my sister had coffee. The coffee was cold! The carafe was not on the burner as I saw him pour the coffee into the cup. I went to get ice, another person couldn't get much out and my side the same thing. Then I go to get ketchup in the cups for our fries. No ketchup! What is going on. Several workers. One worker was already eating his lunch at the table, are you kidding me? I went up and everyone was facing the kitchen. No one was paying attention. Finally told 2 of the staff, that the ice was almost out or by now out. No ketchup. I heard 20 minutes later the ice going into the machine. Finally a man came out and actually took our tray away. Only service we received the whole time. And worst of all the order was wrong when we received it. Didn't go back to say our order was wrong since it was such a fiasco. Apparently the team of workers don't come in early to be prepared before opening. Will not be back, I will go to Portillo's down the street. read more

Definitely not a fan of this location. They're always very slow and not the nicest but my most recent experience was terrible. Went at late lunchtime, girl at the drivethru sounded annoyed which already put me on edge. Pulled up to get my order and saw all spots to pull forward were full of people waiting for their food, as well as all the parking spots in the area. Tried to find some space to pull forward, employees stuck their heads out laughing saying "you good?" Ended up being so embarrassed and anxious I almost left without my food but I pulled into the only parking space left still close to the pickup window, and waited almost 20 minutes (there were only 2 things in my order.) Employees bringing out food kept wandering around like they couldn't find the right car, when I finally got my order the ice cream was melted and food was cold. Culver's food is usually enjoyable but this location is horrible! read more

We will never go here again. Ordered the fried chicken, couldn't eat it, dry and nasty. The manager had the nerve to tell us nothing was wrong with it. Said it was cooked fresh an hour ago. When my wife called a week later to speak to the store manager she was told by some guy saying he was the GM and that Norma had issued her a full cash refund. We did NOT get any refund. No customer service at all. They say their family oriented, community concerned, etc. They need to train their supervisors, if I wanted to be treated like a hood rat I guess I could go back....NOT!!!! I went to Culvers on Friday to get 3 of the Cod fish sandwiches and there was only 1 cashier and 1 girl bagging. Everyone was getting very aggrivated waiting for their orders. I ended up waiting 30 minutes for 3 fish sandwiches, that is ridiculus. When I got home to eat them with my family they were just aweful, they were all smooshed and not good at all. They were nothing like the commercial says they are. That is false advertising if you ask me. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before I went there. I too love Culvers but the New Lenox place is poor. My husband and I each ordered a fish sandwich, one cod and one walleye. The walleye was fishy and the breading was rancid. The other food was very good (the cod sandwich, onion rings and chocolate malt). Also, my husband realized after he got home that he didn't get the correct change back from his order. His $24+ order cost him $30. urrrrgh, this place needs better management!! read more

I absolutely love Culvers, but not the one in New Lenox. I couldn't wait for it to open, so we wouldn't have to drive to the Tinley Park location. Back in the summer of 2011, we noticed how filthy the place was along with flies everywhere. Disgusting! The tables were dirty, the floor was dirty, the employees were just LAZY!!!!! I stopped going there for a few months. Just went there recently and the place is still filthy. I don't understand how there are 6 people behind the counter doing nothing. Go clean a table. Just ridiculously lazy! I also noticed that it was not very crowded. Probably because other customers are feeling the same way. I will no longer go to the Culver's in New Lenox. I will be now heading to TInley Park. What a shame...waiting so long for a Culver's to come to town. Also, the food was not up to par. The pot roast was greasy and fatty. Someone better do something quick with this location...... read more
