Today I placed a mobile order, arrived at the restaurant, pulled into the drive thru only to see I was like car 7 or 8 in line. It took almost ten minutes to get my order, an iced coffee. I will say that it was ready when I pulled up to the pick-up window so kudos for that.

I can not believe the young people they hire are this bad. Culvers next-door i never have this problem plus the staff is friendly and when i go in Culver's I don't have to wait and wait to have someone acknowledge me at the POS. And then when they do its like Im putting them out. The only reason i go to McDonald is when a 3 yo want mc nuggets thats what she wants. Soon I hope to get her to like Culvers like the rest of my 5 grandkids do. Seems this is the norm at just about all McDonalds I like to support area businesses but I would not be upset if McDonalds shut down.

I walked in and there were two people in line. After waiting a few minutes we were told someone would be right with us. The couple ahead of me ordered and I was told a few minutes later that they would start on my order. While I was waiting I had time to look around and experience the atmosphere of the restaurant and let me tell you I was shocked. There were a total of four employees that I saw, one making the treats, one on drive thru, one "cleaning" and a super rude manager. The store was dirty with trash and food everywhere. The staff seemed overwhelmed for only having, at that time, three orders to handle and nobody seemed to honestly care that there were customers. The manager (Sean?) was incredibly rude to his employees, especially the boy working the drive thru who made an error in ringing up an order but communicated the proper order verbally to help speed the process. After the manager essentially screamed at him and sighed numerous times he helped the boy correct the error. The manager then proceeded to sigh and complain about the backup of orders and made it known both physically and verbally. I have worked in the service industry my entire life and never experienced someone that talks to their staff the way that this manager did. Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't walked out yet. We usually love this location but will go elsewhere from now on for our frozen treats.

The seating area is a large room with several different table groupings. There are small tables for groups of 2-4. There are big windows on the front, so lots of natural sunlight. There were a few other tables taken, and people were having quiet conversations or doing work. We ended up taking a spot in the corner, with chairs that are made for relaxing, but definitely not for talking :( (they lean way to far back, super awkward). They did a good job making my London Fog Latte (little lavender, little vanilla, and extra foam). There was not a lot of fresh bakery items to choose from. I wanted something more like a scone, but all they had was a cinnamon roll. They heated it up, and it pretty good. We would come back. ps - there is a large world map towards the rear of the shop. It's always generated fun conversations on the way out. Also, it still shows the "Gulf of Mexico" :)

If you're going to get 1 item from here, I highly recommend it being that. It's won awards for numerous years and is recognized from reputable places. This small town market has a lot to offer, most of its products are directly from them or locally sourced. It's designed to give off a small town feel and is cozy. We were hoping to walk around the apple orchard and outside grounds but unfortunately that is only available Saturdays and Sundays. Since we stopped in on a Wednesday that area was closed. We made the best out of it and strolled around the market instead. Staff members were helpful. No one was pushy and we didn't feel rushed to get in and out. We purchased several items and if I were to go back I'd definitely get the apple pie in a bag and chocolate peanut butter balls again. I'd pass on the seasoned pretzels and cheese curds. We had drinks at the bar while waiting for a table, and the bartenders were kind, helpful, and made delicious cocktails. We closed out our tab at the bar before being seated on the front patio. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. We knew what we wanted to order right away, but after our order was taken and waters were brought out, our server essentially never returned to our table. We initially received only two of the three meals we ordered and eventually had to go inside to ask about the third. No one came by to check on our meals, refill our waters, or ask if we wanted additional drinks or dessert. We had planned to order wine and cocktails with dinner, but never had the opportunity because our server did not return. By the time we were waiting for the third meal, our waters were empty, and after we had all finished eating, we sat for quite some time before eventually having to go back inside to ask someone for boxes and the check. What was most disappointing was that there was no acknowledgment or apology for the lack of service. Instead, a staff member joked, "You should get a job here," referring to how we had stacked our own plates while waiting for someone to return to the table. The food remains excellent, and the bartenders were wonderful, which makes the experience even more disappointing. This used to be a place we looked forward to going, but the level of service has unfortunately declined significantly.
