There is something about Culver's that beats out any other place I have eaten as far as hamburger places go. I'm not from the North, so when I found this place, I was pleasantly surprised enough that they rival places like Milo's, Chi Burger, and Whataburger in the South. I normally just get a bacon cheeseburger or a sauteed onion cheese burger with a side of fries. The portions are big and what I love the most is how every single time I have gone there, my food is hot and the meat is juicy.The place is always clean and full of condiments. As soon as you ask your cashier how his/her day is going, they perk right up and become your best friend. One of the women working there was nice enough to offer me some of their Custard for no charge. I have to admit, I had never had it before and it was so sweet and tasty. They do get pretty busy during dinner, but every time I have gone, I have had a great experience. There food is a tad pricey, but it's a nice treat for my diet "cheat days." read more

This Culver's has really dropped the ball lately. My latest bad meal was the walleye dinner. The breading was so oily and excessive. It makes the fish look double the size. But who wants to eat oily crap. I stayed away for 3 months for previous bad meals. I wished I stayed away longer. Also at night, no real management. Well if you want to wait in line for 20 min, and then another 10 min. Before going back to the counter only to find out they lost your order. "One vanilla malt." Then this is the place for you! Just left the drive through waiting pool after 25 minutes of waiting for 2 sundaes!! The cars were piling up and we had nowhere to go. The order runners had no answers as to why the wait was so excessive. All the waiting spots were full and the overflow was not manageable...no orders were coming out of the place and people were leaving their cars and going in to see what was going on! Kenosha Culvers on Green Bay and 52nd is the WORST Culver's that I have went to! Not only do they not get ur order correct but they are very careless and unsanitary too! I got my order home to find a blue GLOVE from one of the workers hands in my daughter's KID'S MEAL!! Also with a crumpled up piece of paper!! So now I'm pissed and disgusted!! I call to tell them what happened and I demand a refund. I walk in to retrieve my refund and to show everyone the glove. As they gave me the refund a worker sneezes into her hands without gloves, not that it would matter with or without but she failed to wash her fkn hands after!! I walked out of there with some coupons and a refund, I come in to retrieve the food after the bad experience giving them a second chance and then they cant make the order correct! So we have to go back again! They suck bad and they need new workers and maybe even a new manager who can train these workers the proper way to run a Culvers!! read more

Culver's reminds me a lot of Dairy Queen, except that the frozen custard is way better than their blizzards. Butter burgers are also tasty. It's hard to not like a place that serves frozen custard, burgers, and fried chicken all under one roof. Their use of daily flavors for their custard ensures a good variety and you will probably have a hard time preventing yourself from getting addicted to them. read more

I absolutely love Culver's custard (and their butter burgers of course). The variety of daily flavors is always great. The other day I had a craving for something refreshing to cool me off in the summer weather. Now I'm not sure if it's only this location or all of them, but my waffle cone came in a plastic, cone hand holder with a little moat around it so the melting custard would not drip on my hands. Worst Culver's I've ever been to and I've been going since the company started franchising! Had a burger today, cheese wasn't melted, patty was cold and it was almost as if the bun was old! This place is always ridiculously busy and chaotic, I really wish there was another location on this side of town because I'd stop coming to this location all together! It's likely a staffing issue so I give them 2 stars as some things are hard to correct and since moving to Kenosha I've had bad bad service experiences left and right at local business and I've just attributed it to what's available in the local work force! Staff do an okay job here serving up butter burgers, pork tenderloin sandwiches and way too delicious frozen custard desserts. Culver's is definitely not health food, but if you have a craving for this kind of fare, it's not a bad place to go. If Culvers was cheaper I'd give it five stars. There is no other fast food chain in America that I know that has better desserts and burgers than Culvers. If you buy a kids meal you get a token towards some sort of trade in prize thing (I've collected oodlesof plush scoopies now, they're adorable) AND MOST IMPORTANTLY a coupon for a free scoop of frozen custard. And my goodness if you've never tried it, please sir or madam trade in that coupon! If you decide to go for a big sundae you can create your own or go with my recommendation, the turtle sundae. It's fantastic, all I eat anymore. It's my favorite sundae in the universe. As far as food goes you can get chicken, fish, hot dogs, chili fries, mashed potatoes, baskets and BUTTERBURGERS! Great sandwiches. I love the crispy chicken sandwich and the cheddar butter burger. I was a little disappointed with the Cod sandwich, I thought it would have had more tartar sauce. The onion rings and french fries are hot and crispy as well as the mushrooms and fried cheese curds. The chicken strips are always hot as well, however, the chili I found to be watery, which was disappointing. The custard is delicious though if you like hot fudge or caramel on your ice cream and it comes with it, I would ask for extra...I feel they don't put enough on. Recently I ordered a banana split but there was no banana or extra fudge, just strawberries, whipped cream and ice cream. I may have gotten someone else's by mistake. Who knows. I love Culvers, it's my favorite fast food restaurant. I love both the burgers and the custard. Their cheese curds are awesome too. One of my favorite item on their menu is the veggie burger, it's the best burger I've ever had, even if it's not beef. I also love how in Culvers you can sit down and eat your food if you want. After telling the server she just walked away, we had to go back to the counter told them what happened and they gave us the Cones. Did you ever have a craving for something sweet and all you can think about is that first bite and how great it tastes? So I had this craving for a banana split I ordered two. I get home and open the bag and find two very plain banana splits. I think oh well no whip cream, no nuts, not even a cherry. So I dig in looking for that first bite of delicious ice cream and banana. So after three bites I realize that my banana split doesn't have a banana either. Huge disappointment. I called the restaurant to let them know I had purchased 2 banana splits with no bananas. The manager was very apologetic and said they would send a certificate for 2 banana splits but what I received were 2 certificates for strwberry sundaes. Not even close to a banana split. Disappointment once more, not a big fan of soggy strawberries in artificial juice. So I think I will pass and find some other place for my next banana split craving next time. read more
