The bun was a perfect bun because it was a softer style and not the dry dense kind but hearty enough not to fall fall apart from all that beef. I didn't even bother asking for rare with the young cooks but it was cooked about medium with some pink left in the middle. The toppings were fresh but the onions were super thin sliced and soft, I would have asked for extra had I have known. I'm impressed that a small drive in takes the burgers seriously and uses top quality ingredients. First interaction brought the comment "if I have to make another hamburger, I'm going to vomit ". We were there for a late lunch. The second staff person who relieved the first, never asked if we would like anything further and when my husband went to the bar - she decided wiping down the entire bar was much more important than waiting on customers. The stars are for the burger less one star for each server.
