It is a go-to for gift shopping. They have the most unique selection of greeting cards, and let's be real, it is so hard to find a decent non-cheesy, non-Maya Angelou type greeting card these days. I think what I love most is it's tidiness. You can tell that they put thought into each and every item on display, everything has a purpose and fits within the store's theme. There's just not crap everywhere, which I think is a common frustrating detail in other gift stores. Why should you have to dig and sift through piles of nonsense to find something GREAT? The guys at Sloan-Hall get it! Everything they have out is great, it's just choosing between the greatness that's difficult.

I wouldn't necessarily describe my visit to Sloan-Hall as cordial. In fact, if I had to pick a…read moreword, it would be pretentious. My friend and I wandered in on a lazy day to browse the cards, books and jewelry we saw from the outside. The store was super quiet and both staff members (including a young girl that brushed by me and a man cuddling with a tiny, rat-like dog) didn't say hello to us. I finally looked at the staff member and smiled, asking him about his little dog. The dog proceeded to run over to me for some affection (no wonder considering how emotionally chilly that place was!). The store had some neat things, including body wash from France, thick books on architecture and handmade cards, but we didn't stay long. The warmest reception I got was from the little doggy and he was the only one that looked sad when I left.

This is a definite place you want to see when you visit La Villita. So many cute, cool, unique things to see. Jewelry, clothing, all kinds of accessories it's overwhelming. I personally love to get handmade earrings so I found this pair and they were so reasonably priced. You definitely want to check out this store!

While in San Antonio for a conference, my beau wandered into Villa Tesoros, tucked inside a downtown collective of women-owned businesses. What he found was more than just a boutique--it's a curated celebration of craftsmanship, filled with unique clothing, jewelry, and leather goods that feel personal, not mass-produced. Described as relaxed and inviting, the shop leans into that "take your time and discover" energy. Think carefully selected pieces that tell a story--items you don't just buy, but keep. He came back with two standouts: * A beautiful pocket mirror that now lives in my everyday bag (practical and chic--love that for me) * A pair of handwoven earrings that already have a place in rotation--especially with my woven Missoni Converse for a full textured moment YE Gurl says: Villa Tesoros is the kind of boutique that makes gift-giving feel intentional. Whether you're shopping for yourself or trusting someone else to bring a piece of it home to you, expect thoughtful, well-crafted finds that actually mean something.
