This place is so cute! We love Lily and Liam Bistro and we have been here to Upscale Rio one other…read moretime but we forget about it as it's back behind a bunch of businesses off of 528. If you know where Hot Tamales is, go behind it and hit Upscale Rio! First of all, this place has so many options of what I'd call comfort food and everything is good! They have shakes, desserts, yummy starters, mac and cheese, burgers and much more! What's my favorite thing? So many items are gluten free!! Hallelujah!! Even the burgers can be ordered with a gluten free bun! We also had a super sweet waitress! I had to go gluten free last fall and it really cut down on us eating out as most places have little to no options. Here, MOST things are gluten free!! Like what you may ask? Well, today I had chicken fried chicken, green chile gravy, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables- a medley of corn, Lima beans ,bell peppers and red onions. They use a gluten free rice flour and the batter on the chicken was crispy and delicious!! They are also super generous with their portions so I took half of my food home and can't wait for dinner! I also had a double chocolate shake and a cold brew. They proudly brew Whispering Bean Coffee which is super tasty! My husband had the Green Chile Chicken Pot Pie and really enjoyed it and ate every bite! My mother in law had the Basic Cheddar Burger with fresh cut fries and raved about it. She also had a Key Lime Pie Shake. No photo of this, sorry! They normally have a gluten free fruit cobbler but they were out. I'll be back to try that for sure! All I know is I found a place that has super tasty gluten free options that I can't find anywhere else. I love you Upscale Rio! I'll be sharing this with all my gluten free friends! See you soon!! XOXO

Burger was cooked well and was filled with flavor! I got the steak fingers after reading reviews and unfortunately they were not good. We went to Kily and Liam this morning for breakfast. Today was one of those days where it was…read moremidweek, and my husband took the day off, just because. He asked me to breakfast and he looked up places to go here in Rio Rancho and found this restaurant online with good ratings. Ambiance The ambiance is cute, nothing fancy, comfortable, cheery (for instance live plants) and more importantly-different. I love when restaurants have their own style and don't look like other restaurants. For instance they have one seating area that is a booth seat with various different pillows. And there are two tops with both chairs and a bench. Simple, clean, charming. Service The waitress was friendly and admitted she was fairly new, which we wouldn't have known because for being new she was an above average waitress. Food I was surprised to see such original food. They had more of a global kind of food with definite nods to regional new Mexican favorites. For instance they had 'Madame Hatch', which was a classic Croque Madame sandwhich with green chile. The bread/ham/mornay sauce/basted egg were all cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. 'Bombay Bagel' which was a French toast bagel, with goat cheese, black forest ham, sundried tomato, hardboiled egg, lemon honey, and microgreens, fruit. And NM classics like a smothered breakfast burrito. I attached pics of the menu so you can see everything they offer. Everything was appropriately priced, Not cheap, not expensive. Each dish was $11.00-$16.00 They serve breakfast and lunch. They also have a good, large selection of yummy, homemade desserts. If you're looking for good food, good service, something different but also great classics you need to check this place out.

The overall vibe was very relaxed and casual, as it was a Thursday and not too busy. I was pleased to see they had an espresso menu and ordered the cold brew, which was perfect for a hot day. For food, I went with the Dutch Eggs because you really don't see that on many menus. It was interesting - I didn't expect it to be so sweet since it was listed under "savory". It was still tasty but I'd probably go for something different next time. Good portion sizes and prices were reasonable. I would definitely return!

Made a visit back recently with some friends on one of our girls nights out to catch up. The visit was great, and I am glad that we get a chance to get together every month or two. Just not sure we'll pick O'hares again. I ordered a cup of the french onion soup and the sliders from appetizer menu. The french onion soup was good, I can say that. The sliders is a different story. They came with six sliders. That was literally it. Meat and bread. Nothing else. No cheese, no garnish, not even sliced pickles. That alone was $17! I was shocked when I saw the bill! You can typically order a burger with all the fixings and fries for that price or less. Our service was fair. Our server was nice enough and checked in on us. But the food was very underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend them, but you could may have a better experience than me. Just don't order the sliders! Then, to top it off, after ordering dessert, we are chit chatting and finishing our drinks. We slowly start to notice that the servers were grabbing their purses and heading to the front. Apparently they had been closed for almost 30 minutes but no one came to inform us that they were closed for the night! LOL! Silly place.

The food is not only delicious but it's fresh, staff is incredibly nice and the prices are very reasonable. We ordered a little bit of everything and we were completely shocked by the size of the items based on the price. We thought the items would be way smaller but we were wrong. Everything about the experience was Fantastic. The salsas were fire and the aguas frescas were delightful. If I had one suggestion or criticism it would be to change your corn tortillas. It brings the wonderful taste of the food down a couple notches. You would benefit more by having someone make them fresh on site and charging a $1 more per taco. I would happily pay for that. Just my suggestion. Oh and let me tell you about those delectable churros and that wonderful delicious warm chocolate sauce that came on the side and paired so perfectly with them - just elevating them even further for me. Don't sleep on this location.. Come check them out for yourself.

The chicken quesadilla was good, not remarkable. It's a very busy, noisy, family and a young people hangout.

In any event I intermittent fast and I hadn't eaten so we stopped here on the way back. It's not the most promising looking place on the outside, it's fairly generic, not to mention the generic name. But inside it's cute and clean. The menu is a a good size with lots of options. I ordered the chicken satay and the papaya salad. I can't remember what my wife had but it was good. The satay was nice and not covered in gooey marinade. It was delicate and delicious. The papaya salad was huge and I ended up having it for multiple meals. I ordered medium which turned out to be pretty fiery but delicious. While I've found plenty of good Vietnamese I haven't liked too many of the Thai places here. This is an exception. And now I see that they have a second branch on Nob Hill which is near my house which is great.
