So far we have eaten in and ordered take out. When dining in we were seated promptly and our Ricky Martin look a like waiter came over to take our drink orders and tell us the specials for the day. I ordered the pomegranate martini and my husband, the spicy margarita. Unfortunately mine lacked flavor, but his was delicious. As for our food, I ordered a regular size pepperoni, mushroom and olive pizza and my husband ordered the ravioli. Both dishes were very good and filling. The service was also great, with our waiter checking on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was good. A week later I ordered the same pizza for take out and like before it was delicious. We will definitely be back to try more dishes and check out their happy hour. read more

The pasta however was a bit on the salty side, it may have been the cheese. The chicken piccata was good but I have had better piccatas. Heard the Fort Lauderdale Cucina Moderna was really delicious so was happy to hear there was one in Mirimar. The decor was clean and modern with upbeat music playing. Very cool wall decorations as well. Started with complimentary focaccia which was delicious. Shared the calamari which was very tender and had 2 dipping sauces. You can't beat the lunch specials during the week for $10. My wife had the Mussels Pomodoro lunch special and I had the Chicken Parmigiana over spaghetti. Both were very good and nice portion. Our waiter, Jorge D, was excellent. The ambiance itself is worth going to see. Very elegant, neutral bright and soft colors. Long bar once you come in that also has an outside, open view with counter space to sit at. We also had 2 Stella Artois in very nice glasses that were also reduced $1. I had a business lunch at Cucina Moderna in Miramar, and it was fantastic. Jorge was our server and he was excellent. We started with the calamari, which was very good. Their lunch special is truly unbeatable. I ordered the Avocado Chop Salad and the Chicken Parmigiana -- both for just $10 each! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. This combo has become my go-to. My colleagues ordered the Penne alla Vodka with chicken, the Cheese Ravioli, and the Ribeye (which was on special), and everyone said their meals were excellent. I love this spot -- it's close to my office, the food is consistently great, and the value is amazing. Highly recommend for lunch or any casual meal! read more

THE PLACE: Located in a Miramar shopping center, parking is easy to find and is free. Inside the restaurant it's beautifully decorated, modern and offers both booths and table tables. THE FOOD: on our visit we ordered the appetizer. It was a generous portion of thinly sliced focaccia bread (?) and tomatoes. 4/5. We also ordered the cupcake Moscato, which was an absolutely incredible 5/5, and an old-fashioned, but we didnt like the bourbon used, and ultimately returned the drink. For entrées, my husband had the chicken Parm, and while the dish was a good portion, and delicious, they overdue the tomato sauce. The dish that comes with the chicken has a TON of sauce, and then they bring you the pasta on the side, which is also drenched in tomato sauce. The amount of sauce in this dish is overwhelming and overshadows how good the actual chicken is. It's interesting, that the table next to us ordered the same chicken Parm and they decided to not eat the dish because they were overwhelmed with the sauce. I believe that they should either lower the amount of sauce in the dish, or to bring the pasta on the side without any sauce to balance it out 3/5. Hi how did the veal in marsala sauce, but I asked that they switch out the roasted potatoes for pasta. And while it doesn't look very pretty, it was outstanding! 4/5. THE SERVICE: Our server & the team well fantastic! Great service and worked well as a team. As a sidenote, I noticed that if you ask for some bread, they will bring it to you at no additional cost. Cucina Moderna is a really good spot. That's fairly new in Miramar. It's located right next to Flanigans and it's a very large inside which I was not expecting. They have a large bar as well as a ton of different table options. What I love the most was they have an amazing lunch special menu. They have 10 options for $10 but you must purchase a drink. They also come with bread service to the table, which is really delicious as it comes with a nice oil and a fresh loaf of bread. I ordered the chicken Parmesan lunch special and it was very large. The chicken Parm was very flavorful and I thought it was a perfect portion size. The linguine it came with was also very good. I would definitely come back and try other things on the menu as I thought the food was fresh, They had a ton of customers, and I thought they were very friendly waitstaff. There aren't many places that have a pizza with whole wheat crust (one of us cannot eat white crust) so when we saw that Cucina Moderna did, we had to check them out. We sat at the bar rather than a table, as it was happy hour, and maybe this review would be different had we sat at a table. We each ordered different pizzas - the buffalo chicken, the pepperoni and the Capri. They were all good, except the person who got the Capri wasn't fond of the flavor combination, being savory and sweet. Drinks were also good, although the red wine was very warm - I'm sure sitting in the window doesn't help keep the temperature anywhere close to the 65° it should be. So, why the three stars? Alas, the service. There were two bartenders and what appeared to be two bar backs. The bar was not full at all. I couldn't tell if the bartenders were supposed to be working the whole bar together or they each had half, but we seemed to be the red-headed stepchildren. As soon as we ordered, our set-ups, which included cloth napkins and utensils, were whisked away. When our food arrived, I asked for napkins and the bartender gave us a small stack of cocktail napkins. I questioned if we were supposed to use those instead of the cloth napkins that used to be on the bar, and he then gave us some after asking if we wanted only napkins or the whole set-up. When we put an empty drink at the edge of the bar for a refill, it went unseen. We finally were able to flag down our bartender, who was chatting with the bar back cutting fruit. He also was friendly to the only other couple at our end of the bar, who seemed to get attentive service. No one ever checked to see how we were doing, if we needed anything else or how we enjoyed our first - and probably our last - visit to the restaurant. I typically tip at least 25% and up, but in this case, I kept it to just over 15%. For anyone who knows me, that in and of itself is indicative of the lack of service we received, hence, the three-star review. read more

I've been to Cucina Moderna a few times now, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently fresh and full of flavor, and there are so many great options on the menu that it's honestly hard to choose every time. Everything I've tried has been excellent. The service is just as impressive. The staff is attentive, friendly, and really adds to the overall experience. On my last visit, I had Valentina as my server, and she was amazing--super knowledgeable, welcoming, and made the whole meal even more enjoyable. The drinks are also fantastic and well-crafted. While the prices are fair for the quality, the overall experience makes it absolutely worth it. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to and would highly recommend. read more

I visited Cucina Moderna for the first time with my family, and overall the experience was just okay. I ordered the meatball sub, which wasn't bad but also wasn't great -- very middle of the road. The bigger issue was that everyone in my party left feeling a bit off afterwards. My mom had the pasta bolognese, which should have been a simple, classic dish, but she found it extremely salty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and modern, and the staff was polite, but the food definitely missed the mark for us. It wasn't a terrible visit, but with the way we all felt afterward and the inconsistency in flavors, it's not a place I'd be quick to return to. read more

Impressive! Not a fan of chain restaurants but I have to say this restaurant has set the bar high! Loved the wine list and happy they had my favorite whiskey. The fork and knife meatballs were packed with flavor and the dollop of ricotta was perfection. For mains had the vodka lobster ravioli, wow, it was absolutely delicious and the seafood linguine in vodka sauce was delectable. Had to try their tiramisu, it did not meet my expectations but not too bad. BEST PART of my experience was the service. Servers are professional, attentive and knowledgeable. Just had a very nice dinner at Cucina Moderna. It is located in a center off of Red Road and Miramar Parkway. The parking was very simple to access. We were seated quickly as we arrived early for dinner. We arrived while their sunset menu was available, which was very nice. It offered a salad, entrée and gelato for dessert. Visited this location for a business lunch yesterday and overall had a positive experience. I ordered the lobster ravioli special, which was quite good--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The restaurant has a nice character and atmosphere, especially inside. A nice brick oven complements it. However, if you're planning to sit at the outdoor bar, just be aware they do have some issues with flies. It seems to be a broader problem with the plaza rather than the restaurant itself. To help with this, they've installed metal beaded curtains, which is a thoughtful touch. Despite that minor inconvenience, it's still a great spot for Italian food--worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

We visited this place for the first time with my family and we had a great time. Parking a bit tight on a Friday evening even though they're located in a Plaza. We were seated within 5 minutes but I had made a reservation prior. So can't tell about walk in wait time. But I can share the hostess was extremely nice. The place is beautiful. A mix of modern and classy without the high end pressure. The booth and bar design were beautiful. Our server was Nathan. Amazing service offered us recommendations and was on point all evening checking on us. We had: Fried ravioli: extremely good definitely an appetizer to start with Form and knife meatballs: the meatballs were good but the sauce came in cold, so not a 10 Pizza: I custom ordered a mushroom, ham and chicken pizza. The crust was amazing and perfect thickness. The only add I would say is maybe a bit less sauce would've enhanced more the topping flavors. I felt like the sauce is very similar if not the same of the sauce of both appetizers we hard Meatball and Sunday gravy linguini; basically the same as the appetizer but with pasta. Good mix. Meatballs are very filled and good size Eggplant pasta: I do not call the name on the menu as my wife ordered a special plate with Alfredo on this eggplant pasta;however, she didn't like the texture of the eggplant. They serve beer and wines she loved the Pinot griggio and I loved my peroni. The manager was super nice.
