A Fantastic Experience! This was our first time here, and we did the pizza and beignet cooking class. It was such a fun and memorable experience - especially for my 10-year-old daughter! The instructor was incredibly helpful and patient, making the whole class feel welcoming and easy to follow. We had a great time learning and cooking together, and the beignets and pizza turned out delicious! My daughter even asked if we can do it again. We'll definitely be looking to try another class. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a fun, hands-on activity!

So places like this...we end up at because the cousin like to throw cool birthday parties for the kids. Haha Its a cute lil kitchen in willow glen. They letcha host a cooking/baking party for a fee. The staff seems cool...not too much to describe here. I mean, like i said, came thru for a burthday party. We checked in, said hello to the fam and the kids all sat at the big table in the kitchen to hang with the other kids. There's another room where you can set up a party reception for the guests so its kinda back and forth through the place. When it came that time to bake, the staff introduced themselves and continued on with getting the kids split up to help bake a cake by letting the kids partake in mixing ingredients together as a team. While the cake mix is baking in cupcake trays, the guests eat and do their thing, then when the cupcakes are done the kids can move on to decorating. Nothing too out the world here...all in all, just a great time for the kids and fam to get together and enjoy the moments

The setup for the kids for the pizza party.

We had a great time for a bithday party for my 8 year old twins this past weekend with their friends. The talented trainers were able to help the kids make their fun pizza doughs, really /mash/ those tomatos and onions with the chopper, and make it their own in completing the toppings. They also had time to make cupcake decorations and enjoy some desert afterwards. While the kids were somewhat loud in making the most of the stainless steel tables, they all had a rather great time and the only thing we missed was adding another 30 minutes to the end as it was tough to finish all the fun items in just 2 hours.

My daughter had her 10 year birthday party and all the kids had a wonderful experience. The staff is so patient and helpful. Kids learnt to make pasta from scratch and it tasted amazing. They were able to accommodate special requests like one child had allergy to egg, dairy and nuts so the staff recommended her to make pasta with semolina and she truly enjoyed as she could participate. I highly recommend this place for birthday.

My daughter had a spectacular time celebrating her 8th birthday at Cucina Bambini! She and 10 of her friends had a private party in the big kitchen where they learned how to make pasta from scratch! It was fun and entertaining for the kids and parents alike. My daughter felt like a chef of her own cooking show! Emma and Kim were kind, helpful, and amazing hostesses! They were very hands on at giving the kids guidance and making sure everyone was engaged throughout the entire process. The kids got to enjoy the fruits of their labor, making it such a rewarding experience. Even the parents got to try the pasta. I must say, I was pretty impressed! It was really nice that we were able to bring outside food/beverages for the parents to enjoy as well. In the lobby there was plenty of space and tables to set up for decorations, desserts/snacks, beverages, and gifts. Inside the kitchen there was an additional table for our finger foods. The place was decorated nicely with seasonal touches throughout. A perfect cozy indoor venue for an Autumn birthday party. As the parent I really didn't have to do much because Emma and Kim accommodated everything! We are interested in checking out more cooking classes in the near future. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to book an intimate, unique, and stress free gathering!

We had so much fun during our ravioli and molten lava cake class! I've attended a couple of cooking classes before and definitely think we had the best instructors at this one. They were extremely patient and always willing to come by and help when we had questions. It made making ravioli so easy. We loved the sauce that we made and were very grateful they shared the recipe with everything post the class. They have a ton of other class offerings (kid friendly) for an assortment of recipes, including macarons!

Absolutely love this place. We have been decorating Gingerbread Houses there for over 10 years, the staff is welcoming and helpful and the kids leave with their works of art all wrapped and packaged. The classes and camps for kids are great too!

This place easily gets 5 stars in my books! We planned our 4 year old birthday party here since he loves cooking and eating pizza. There were 10 kids in our group so we booked the smaller room on the left side of the venue. When I say smaller, it's actually not small.. It had plenty of room for 10 kids and their parents. They have two tables where you can use it to decorate or place food and snacks for parents and guest. They had no problem us hanging a birthday banner in the room. This event was a dream come true for my son since he gets to enjoy making pizza from scratch including the dough, mixing fresh tomatoes to make the sauce, choosing his own toppings and if course eating it! They even made their own desert after making the pizza! Cunina Bambini has a wonderful staff. I forgot the person that helped us, I think his name it was Andrew.. and he was great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend this place if you want to celebrate a birthday party or just take cooking lessons making pizza.

Came here for a kid's birthday party. The place was nice and clean. The instructors did a good job of engaging with the kids while teaching them how to make pizza. I wish they had more equipment so the kids got to take their time when it was their turn to chop veggies or do something else. Seems like a fun place for kids to take some cooking classes.

End result! Made two difference sauces and the pasta from scratch

Pros: - Fun event! Went with my daughter to the parent/child pasta and cupcake event. Daughter had a blast and learned a lot about cooking - The staff was awesome. Clear instructions, helpful, and very accommodating - They cleaned dishes after the event (most cooking classes make you do it, so that is a big relief)! Cons: - They do not wear mask but sign said everyone is vax+boosted, which I'm completely fine with and was actually slightly relieved to be "normal". However, I know some ppl might be concerned so i'll throw that disclaimer. - Not a full meal after you are done, so be prepared to eat and then maybe go somewhere after to get a quick bite - can be on the pricer side, but you are paying for the experience so for me this is a mild con Overall, My daughter had a great experience and there are so many events coming up so I will definitely return!

What an amazing experience we had here for my son's 4th birthday party! Booking online was a breeze! We received a call a few days before our event to give our total guest (chefs) headcount. Stephanie was very helpful and informative when answering my questions. We arrived about 15 minutes before our 3pm event to set up some snacks for the adults, gift bags for the kids, and to hang a happy birthday banner up. John was our host for our event and was really awesome! John gave us a brief introduction of what to expect, welcomed the kid chefs in with an apron, and walked them over to a seat to decorate their chef hat. Throughout the event, the kids were asked questions regarding the pizza ingredients and they were kept so interested. We had kids ranging from 3 years old to 9 years old. Let me tell you that everyone...including the parents were engaged the whole time from the pizza making, to decorating cupcakes, and then after. My 4 year old got a chance to even stir the pizza sauce by the oven, which he loved so much. The pizzas came out super tasty that all the kids devoured it! I think they were also excited to be a part of making their homemade pizza, so it tasted that much more better! This was definitely a unique and enjoyable birthday experience that we all won't forget, especially my little birthday boy. If you're looking to book for a birthday or cooking experience/class, look no further! I recommend booking your party a month or two in advance to secure your preferred date and time. This place is that great!

Ever since buying a place a few years ago, I've wanted to learn how to cook. Not just to make it by…read morewithout starving, but really learn how to make quality food at home--I'm a foodie after all. ;-) This is the best cooking class company I've taken classes at to help me move closer to my goal. Highlights: - Format: A combination of demo and hands on which is the perfect mix: "see then do" as they say. Thorough and educational with detailed information on not only cooking techniques, but also the equipment (helpful gadgets in some cases), ingredients, their origins, and health benefits. I left each class feeling like I was becoming a more educated and better chef already. I've been to classes at Home Chef (when it was in SJ), Whole Foods (Cup and San Mateo), and Sur La Table (LG), and while those were fun, I didn't really learn as much as I would have liked. - Teacher: friendly, approachable, easy to learn from, comical, seems to genuinely care about her food and the people in her class, and knows her stuff. Chef Suzanne Vandyck has the culinary credentials and has even authored a cookbook. She tells you little tricks here and there along with fun stories of her travels and related eats to give it a personal touch. - Environment: very casual and comfortable. Questions are encouraged throughout and you don't feel intimidated chiming in with one during the demo or while cooking. I've been to classes where you felt like you were learning from a cooking nazi: if you didn't use the right spoon or something she'd snip at you. I want to learn, but this is for fun. I like more hakuna matata attitude here. As Chef Suzanne says, "In a restaurant it has to be perfect, at home it's ok." :-) - International Themes: I took the Easy and Healthy Japanese cooking class but they offer Italian, French, Mediterranean, Spanish, etc. I was a bit weary of learning Japanese food from a lady from Belgium, but she had enough traveling, visiting with locals, eating, and cooking experience to portray the authentic styles. I lived in Japan for a few years and eat Japanese food a good deal and learned tons from her class. - Great recipes: everything that we made was scrumptious. I loved being able to know how to make the classic Japanese sauces (tempura, miso, etc.) There are always options either written down or noted verbal during the demo so you know how you can change it up to suit your tastes or ingredients you have handy. - Salads: when you sign up, you can see what dishes will be made and I was enticed by the entrees. After all was said and done I did enjoy the entrees like expected, but was surprised to be blown away by the salads. The watercress and then spinach salads with dressings we made on our own were amazing. - Recipe handouts: before class you get a few pages stapled together of the recipes of the day. The teacher not only includes pictures up top, but a nice little paragraph of the story and background about what the dish is. - Plating: after Chef Suzanne makes an item, she plates them on beautiful little authentic Japanese plates (since I took the Japanese class) and organizes the food so it looks professional and impressive. Since I want to be a Top Chef quality chef, I love learning these plating skills to make my dishes visually appealing and fancier than the average home cooked meal. 8-) - Leftovers: sometimes there's a lot of food, so if you bring a container you can take some to enjoy at home - People: After the demos we break up into groups and make a few recipes. I didn't take the class to meet new people, but I made some nice friends through the few sessions we've have. - Class time said 6-9:30pm which I was initially worried sounded a bit long, but we usually finished by 9 or earlier so I could make it home to watch Grey's just slightly delayed on TiVo. ;-) - Location: most of the quality classes I have seen are in the city which is hard to get to on a weeknight. These are held closer to home in Cupertino and Santa Clara. Lowlights (my flip side to highlights): - How much fun you have cooking depends on the group you end up in--just normal group dynamics and personalities, etc. - Not optimal equipment: this is where it's a pro to go to a specialty store like Sur La Table or Whole Foods: the equipment will be more top notch. Our class was at Cupertino High School which had dull knives, old silverware, etc. They also didn't have any chopsticks to use in our Japanese class, so we brought our own. - Sometimes she changes the recipe from what's written down so you just have to be aware and take notes on your handouts. - Some classes you get a snack pretty early on but others you don't get to eat until 8:30pm, so you may want to have a snack before just in case. I'm so happy to have found this cooking school and will be looking to take more classes in the future!

Highly recommend Chef Suzanne and Worldchefs International!…read more I've taken Italian cooking classes, garlic cooking classes and a team-building cooking class. All spectacular... Highlights of courses: *Picked up FANTASTIC recipes that I still cook today... *Learned how to use quality ingredients to make delicious dishes *Met some great people *Paid close to nothing to learn from a top-notch chef and her colleagues Minuses: *May be challenging if you are with a group of people whom are unaccustomed to being in the kitchen... I booked a Tuesday evening class during winter break. You get a confirmation email and that's it. I was worried about prep but they prepare everything for you and thought up everything as well. Small parking lot. They had us wash our hands when we arrived and then each kiddo had a color sheet with crayons. Nice touch but defeats the purpose of washing our hands first. The two of us shared a table with another mom with their toddler. Each toddler had their own set up to make 6 cookies. Everything was pre measured and it wasn't too messy. We were able to bake 6 cookies and use whatever toppings - she got to choose between chocolate chips, m&ms, white chocolate chips and these dried fruits. They read a book to the kids and then made milk shakes as a group. Each kid got a small cup and to place chocolate chips/m&Ms in. The cookies were really delicious and my child loved the milk shake. For example, all six of us were mixing one single sauce together with only three ingredients. This was not communicated clearly in the class description and felt very uncomfortable. The class description also stated that everything would be made from scratch, but that was not the case. We wrapped pre-cut chicken in pre-made phyllo dough, which was very different from what we were expecting based on how the class was advertised. Additionally, the experience felt a bit low-quality. The appetizer was a single small plate of pita bread and oil--probably under $2 total--to be shared among all six people. There was also a lot of waiting around, with the kids taking turns doing very small tasks such as sharing the chopping of just one onion. Overall, the experience felt slow, uncomfortable, and not aligned with what we believed we were paying for. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this class to others and do not plan to return. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope it helps improve future classes.

The moss art was a fun idea but I do wish they had more variety of moss and things to place.
