While we understand that power outages happen. There is no reason that a storage facility should not have backup power and a way for RV and cars to leave there facility. This facility lost power and chained the gate closed with our RV inside. We missed grandkids birthday and had we know we would have gotten our rig out early but NO notice went out ahead of the storm letting us know what would happen in the event of a power outage for an extended period of time. Even worse they didn't even send out updates of the ongoing issue. You had to drive to the facility to find out for your self.... Very bad service read more

CubeSmart of Wildwood Florida will charge extra for THEIR errors, and threaten you when you won't pay for their error. I rented a covered RV space on Jan 2, 2024. The office was full of people with only one employee, and we were repeatedly/constantly interrupted while others waited, hovered, and huffed over us, given there's not enough seating for everyone waiting. There were several people experiencing rental problems, but I didn't pay much attention because I don't not have any problems following rules. All seemed fine, until I started receiving notices the day after I left for a TEN day cruise that my bill wasn't paid 2-months into my rental, despite signing up for autopay. At 1st I thought it must be a notification error, but 5-days into these notices while on vaca, I emailed that I am enrolled in autopay, and to please charge my autopay credit card. I explained I was on a cruise with limited internet. They didn't respond, and only kept sending escalating emails for nonpayment. There was a different female GM who signed me up in January, then a different guy by himself for the past 2 months, and now Leah who claims to be the new General Manager. The staff is EXTREMELY INCONSISTENT, which wouldn't be an issue if they were not making admin ERRORS, and then changing staff who refute responsibility. Within 30-mins of arriving home from my cruise, I went to their store to fix their autopay, given when I tried to click on their website links on the cruise, it repeatedly failed with internet time-outs. I gave Leah the same credit card that I provided for auto-pay, and told Leah she could charge my card for this month's rental and autopay. She provided the SAME autopay process I already completed in January. That's one of the reasons I went to the store and signed up in-person back in January is so that all of this would be done properly, and there wouldn't be any computer errors on my end. When paying, I asked Leah if she was going to attempt to charge any late fees or penalties and she said "it shouldn't". Then the screen said I owed something like $184 but my rental is only about $150ish. So, I asked her again, are you attempting to charge a penalty or late fee? Her new response was she couldn't do anything about it. I repeated that I will pay the rental fee and setup the autopay again, but I'm NOT going to pay for their error, because I shouldn't be charged for staff errors. Leah then said that she didn't make the error, and I had to pay it or else they wouldn't provide access to my RV. So after telling me "it shouldn't" charge a penalty, she then tried to charge for a penalty and denied all responsibility for it despite claiming to be the new GENERAL MANAGER. Leah then told me to pay the bill because the penalty "wasn't much". Leah's method of fixing her company's errors is to make you pay for them. She then told me to call a district manager on Monday, and ask them to waive/refund the fee, but she said it was very unlikely they would, despite knowing that exact date I signed up at their company was completely insane. I also told her if the fee "wasn't much", they should have no problem waiving it given it's no fault of my own. Afterall, I showed the upmost respect visiting their office first thing when I got home from a 10-day cruise, which didn't seem to dawn on Leah how responsible I was being. I took paying them very seriously, until they tried to charge me for their own error. On a side note, within the past 2 months I've had TWO friends rent RV storage spaces here. I received no recognition for this, and instead they are attempting to stiff me with what feels like fraud. Aside from this CATASTROPHIC INJUSTICE, I thought this was a good and legitimate business, but after this experience, definitely NOT. Please fix this CubeSmart. Thank you. read more

My experience over the last twelve months with CubeSmart has been very favorable. I had a large 15x20 unit with a competing storage facility and a similar sized unit with CubeSmart. I got tired of seeing automatic rate increases at the other place. CubeSmart sets prices according to their occupancy rates. When they have a lot of units the rental rates actually decrease. The competition just keeps gouging me with rent increases. They figure I'll just pay because I'm too lazy to move. read more

It's nice and clean here. I was disappointed that I couldn't find an open bathroom outside though. Prices are a bit high but they are convenient so there's that. :) read more
