What I loved was that their price was in the middle of all the ones that I called, but most importantly came with twice as many workers & they did not charge for packing up the boxes I did not get to! As of February 2026, H-town movers provided 4 movers for $155/hr , with a $120 one time fee that covered the truck & travel. That is all i was charged! (They have a minimum of 2 hrs, but anything after that, they only charge at 15 minute intervals). I provided the boxes, tape, and paper-- you can get their packaging packet, but I found all of my stuff cheaper & they used the kitchen towels, wash rags etc that i left out for them also! However, they do provide unlimited plastic wrap & moving blankets to wrap up all furniture. They were very careful packing up all my fragile items (large dresser mirrors, China plates, mugs etc). I was very relieved with their detail to that . They were extremely efficient (did not purposely "dilly dally" to rack up hours) and had a great attitude the entire time! I could hear them singing or telling jokes to each other, which helped relieve a little bit of my stress by creating such a pleasant atmosphere. They were also extremely kind with our toddler running around. I did not have to micromanage them at all. The only thing I did have to remind now and then was if a certain section was going in storage or to our new moving location. They did not charge for making 2 stops. At the first stop, they would ask where we wanted the box or furniture item, and they happily brought it to whichever location. They do not charge for stairs, which is nice. They were also extremely efficient in packing up the storage unit where we had a ton of space left over! i would highly recommend this company & their movers and I would definitely use them in the future! Having more hands on board at a very reasonable price helped get everything done in one day and in a shorter time span than I had anticipated!

Abner was very responsive and straight forward but did not contact me again after initial quote until I decided to go with him. He garunteed pick up date and arrival date (and time and was 10 minutes early each time!) which was huge for us as our move had to be very scheduled and other companies quoted us a 2 week interval (or more!) of when our items would be delivered. His crew in Houston arrived and packed our entire apartment, included disassembling basic items. They were extremely professional and efficient. Every item even valuable and breakable items arrived in perfect condition. He met us in San Fransisco 5 days later and him and two others unloaded all our boxes and assembled any dissassembled items. Again very professional and efficient. Iron back movers turned what could have been a very stressful move into 0 stress. Abner was extremely hardworking, professional, and easy to work with as was every member of his team. We hope we can use him for any future moves even though we are no longer in Houston!

On moving day, the movers arrived promptly and they were so quick in moving everything! within two hours everything had been moved out of our townhome! It took them another hour and a half to move everything to the new place. Very impressed! They also wrapped certain pieces of furniture for us and disassembled as well as assembled others. Cost was reasonable as well. I would say they are more cost efficient compared to other movers we had inquired. My Dad is a well-known distinguished West Point graduate who served in Vietnam and has always lived by the motto "duty, honor, country". Seeing a company who supposedly employed fellow patriots was appealing. This company promised to take care of all my parents cherished belongings with respect. The night before the move date, the driver was arrested for a hit and run. Should have been a major clue. The company said that they would dispatch another crew, but it would be be 17 hours as they were coming up from Texas. Day 2 and nothing, no updates, no anything. Day 3 and several voice mails later, crickets. So my parents were supposed to be in a hotel and leave on Day 4. Now they are left scrambling for a reputable company (lesson learned), and they are now having to pack themselves up. This sham of a company kept thousands as a down payment for services not rendered and no communication. On Day 4, I decided to get involved and threatened legal action since they stole my parents money. Someone finally called my sister to cancel the order and refund the money. I shutter to think who else they have stolen from that didn't want the hassle. No reason, no explanation, no morals, and no shame. How could they just take money from trusting people and not respond to any update requests? Do NOT use this company, EVER. There is a reason they are not a BBB company. They will sell you the world and leave you high and dry. I will be sharing this experience with all my friends, my father will share this horrendous incident with all of his classmate. Their actions are absolutely despicable, unprofessional, and borderline illegal. My family's pain and suffering is worth more than just the returning the deposit and an empty apology. They provided TV boxes, mattress covers, and wrapped all furniture to ensure nothing was scratched or stained. They even helped combine smaller boxes into larger ones and made sure nothing was left behind. The team disassembled all our furniture for transport and reassembled everything upon arrival, placing each item and box in the exact rooms we requested -- even positioning furniture and wall art just the way we wanted. They were meticulous and organized in both loading and unloading. They also transported one of our cars in an enclosed trailer for a very reasonable price. Best of all, Ricky and his team were cheerful, polite, and helpful from start to finish. After a long day of loading, driving, and unloading until nearly 2 a.m., they still had the same positive attitude they had when they arrived that morning.
