It…read morefeels like The Property Manager at Eagle Drive Storage may be stealing people's personal information in an attempt to steal their customer's identity. Sherri Garvin, The Property Manager, was secretively on her personal phone with a random person while discussing my private information, and at first tried to ignore it, and then try to act like she wasn't doing anything wrong. I only noticed she was on her phone, because the person on the other line sniffled. I politely asked for her to tell the other person that she would have to call him back, and to please hang up the phone while discussing my private information. Keep in mind, we had already discussed my full name, address, and she was asking about my credit card information when I finally noticed she was on the phone with another person. She did nothing after I asked her again to get off her phone. She acted like nothing had happened. It wasn't until I demanded for a 4th time that she finally told the other person on her story phone that she had on speaker that she would place him on hold. I have no way of knowing if she placed him on hold or not. She just tapped her screen real fast and moved her phone away, but not out of sight or ear shot. So, I refused to give her anymore information until she hung up. She did after trying to have me provide her with an updated credit card, and I wanted to talk to her boss. She tried to tell me she was the boss, but then gave me the name of the Other Property Manager. Bottom line, don't ever do business with this place. This lady will have your identity stolen. She saw nothing wrong with what she was doing, and even went as far as to accuse me of doing something wrong by asking her to get off her personal phone.

We stopped to safely let our service dogs in training to go potty in front of the buildings being…read morebuilt beside this business. The office lady came out and harassed us and said we weren't allowed to use the grass. We explained that we carry poop bags and will clean up after ourselves. She proceeded to threaten to call the cops if we didn't leave immediately. We just ignored her because I know the laws about allowing service dogs in training anywhere accommodations are made for those with disabilities. I wish I'd snapped her picture so I could share it here. I've sent an email to their inbox but haven't heard from their general manager. I would not recommend anyone with a disability, visible or not to use this facility as they are uneducated about the rights of service dog access.

Unfortunately, the printer was a beast at 440 lbs. and we had no way to unload it at Jag. Instead, we drove to a moving company, which had a forklift for the job. Joan was very understanding and sweet about the whole thing.

Notwithstanding the fact that visually the place is a dump, one would think they would make up for the aesthetics with an excellent customer service experience. Not so. A few months ago I went to inquire about a climate controlled unit. The woman at the desk in the dingy little office abruptly told me there were none without even looking at up at me. She didn't even bother to offer alternatives. I left. I said maybe she was having a bad day and I was not about to let anyone steal my joy. A few months later, I decided to book online at the same facility due to its proximity to my house. My booking was confirmed. I got said confirmation via email. When I called to complete the papers, the woman claimed she had no reservation. Again the unfriendly demeanor (magnified by the fiber optics). It didn't matter I had the confirmation in hand. What a horrible experience. I found alternate storage at an ultra modern facility 6 miles away and the contrast with the experience from this dingy place to this new facility as like night and day. 1st Choice Storage in Baytown should NEVER be a choice.
