Where to begin!? Myself and my sister decided to treat ourselves to a groupon voucher for a massage and a glass of Prosecco at Cube Massage Dundrum. We arrived about 15mins early and were seated in the reception. We were greeted by a nice lady who sat us down and returned to a client. The place was very small and poorly lit (not in a relaxing ambient way). There was dance type music playing loudly on the radio (not relaxing at all). There were dirty looking heart shaped wine glasses standing on the table. I made a comment to my sister that I hope they were just for show and not the wine glasses we were going to be drinking from. However, ten mins later, another lady poured some wine into these glasses! It was more like fizzy acid than wine (and I'm not fussy when it comes to alcohol!). We didn't drink it to say the least. At this point, I wanted to leave. But the therapist who served us the Prosecco said she would like to give us a presentation while we waited. The presentation (which turned out to be a half hour in length), was for some type of pyramid scam called DreamTrips that she was trying to get us to join!! I couldn't believe it. I had an appointment with cube massage for an organic oil massage. I would not use your services again or recommend to a friend. I felt that the experience was unfriendly, unprofessional and in no way relaxing. The therapy rooms were locked when I arrived. I had to call about this. The therapist arrived almost 20 minutes late. She was unfriendly from the start. She acted like my appointment had really put her out. I complained about how late she was and expected an apology. She was extremely gruff and did not immediately apologise. Eventually she explained that she was late because of queuing to get her driving licence renewed and said sorry but this was mainly a complaint about the driving licence centre with absolutely no concern about making me wait for 20 minutes. The pressure was too much, it really hurt. I asked for less pressure and she agreed but told me that I had to work at a massage i.e put up with pain for it to work. other massage therapists have told me that some pressure is good but too much pain is actually not beneficial. I explained this and she said that these therapists were wrong. Added to this, just a minor note, the massage therapist did not ask me what oil I would like or if I had any allergies to any of the oils. I found this experience anything but relaxing. I meant to write this review a while back but didn't get around to it, and the very issue that the review below had was my primary reason for wanting to write it. First and foremost, she is Easter European, I'd put my money on Bulgarian, and massages ARE NOT THE SAME in that part of the world. Full body is FULL body. What we get in a salon here and in the UK/US is just a relaxing rub down, not a proper therapeutic massage - but therapists from continental Europe are half way to being physios if properly trained and this is a bit much for people who have no experience of receiving massage treatments internationally. I personally found the therapist pleasant and very good at her job, with lots of emphasis on working on my problem areas (neck and lower back) which she identified without me having to tell her. Its small and a little out of the way but they have some really decent offers on their websites like 3 1 hour massages for €99 which allows more regular indulgence! read more

Using a Groupon I didn't expect a 5* experience but I would rather give this no stars. Having booked in for a neck/back & shoulder Swedish massage - I was not happy when it turned into a full body massage including stomach and upper chest - I was very uncomfortable and it didn't help that her English wasn't great so trying to explain this was difficult. After asking her for a deep massage, I was let down when I had paid to be rubbed and pinched basically. Any sort of relaxing atmosphere was destroyed when anyone used the bathroom that was located right next to the therapy room. Not impressed and would certainly not recommend. Had a fantastic massage here. One of the best I have found actually. I have an under active thyroid and she was able to provide advice and even massaged the area. I also have sensitive skin and the second time I returned she remember and used a thick lemon moisturiser for the massage she had got specially for me. Overall a very nice experience and a very thoughtful nice lady. I'm so surprised by the different experiences people have had here. read more

Got a Groupon for here as a present and like a previous review on here, this turned into a FULL FULL body massage...including stomach and chest. I know this is the way massage is done in some countries and that's fine, but it's not the norm here and I felt should have been mentioned before the therapist massaged these areas. I worked in beauty for 7 years and one thing that is key is making the client feel comfortable...I've never felt more uncomfortable in my life! The therapist took the towel straight off me and told me to turn over onto my back, I was left exposed for a good 30 seconds before she put it back over me. I was also booked in for an hour treatment and only got 30 minutes, not that I complained as I couldn't wait to get out of there! read more

Absolutely amazing. My partner and I had two full body massages at cube with the wonderful Maria. She was brilliant she gave me advice on foods and drink to take for my extreme dry skin. She made me a peppermint tea and some water melon afterwards. I have been to so many hotels and spas but this was by far my best the massage was perfect. Would recommend it. read more
