My husband and I removed the carpet ourselves and then brought in some flooring professionals to take a look and give us a quote for refinishing the wood underneath. The boards are top nailed and a couple areas had damaged boards needing repair. Other flooring companies we got quotes from told us the job would be extremely difficult and did not inspire confidence. From the start Patrick was very knowledgeable and reassuring that his team would be able to refinish and restore our beautiful floors without a problem! We had all the rooms sanded and stained, minus one room that needed a new floor laid over top due to a 4' x 6' cut out in the middle of the floor - (why! Lol) - but they blended the new oak floor in the one bedroom very nicely with the pine in the rest of the house. I was worried it might look out of place but you hardly notice it! They also replaced our stair treads on the front stairs, and sanded and finished the treads on our back stairs. They did a phenomenal job and I will be calling them for any future flooring needs! 10/10 highly recommend selecta flooring!!!

The work turned out amazing - better than I had even hoped. Can't recommend them enough and will definitely go back to them for any similar work in the future.

He is completely on top of every detail of the project. We have never had a more responsive contractor. I can text him anytime and he immediately gets back to me. He sends photos of everything. For instance, he did our roof and it turned out the plywood under the shingles were not the right thickness and incredibly damaged. So, instead of having to take his word for it, as is the case with most contractors, he sent videos of what was up there so that I could decide what to do accordingly. There is no scope of work that he can't take on. For us, he renovated our family room, redid a bathroom, renovated a basement room, tiled our entry way, completely renovated a sunroom that had major water damage and mold, and gave us an new roof. And, he did all of that in 4 weeks, which is crazy fast! Tony can do anything! And I trust him completely because he is so conscientious, honest, and always does things the right way (absolutely no cutting corners). I can't speak highly enough of him. We are so happy to have met him! I already have many future projects in mind for him.

He immediately noted issues in the basement that the previous owner covered up with lots of Drylock paint that were not caught by the home inspector. He recommended replacing some columns under the main beam as well as adding in three pilaster columns to support the main beam and the walls after he noted cracking in the concrete blocks. We also decided to do a french drain at the same time. Ben gave us a written estimate that was incredibly detailed and easy to understand. On the first day of the job, Gene Grano arrived with the crew and emptied our basement before setting up, covering anything left there and laying down plywood in our driveway and on the grass. Once the crew started breaking the floor near the walls, they found that our home had no footing and the walls were built right on top of the dirt. The central columns were also laying on top of the floor with no footings. Ben and Gene explained everything to us and went over options. We were very upset about the situation but they reassured us and went over the game plan. The crew was awesome. They worked nonstop Monday through Saturday and were very polite and professional. The entire job was complete in just under three weeks and we are incredibly happy with the outcome and we know that the job was done right and our home will be safe and secure for years to come. Every part of the job was explained and shown to us. The crew did a great job cleaning up every day. We could not be more happy with Mario Grano And Sons LLC and are happy to refer them to anyone.
