I did not expect them to look brand new when they were finished. I was at home for a little while finishing up some stuff when the crew started to work. Curious, I watched for a few minutes - one guy was using a big sander, one guy was using a hand sander bent over like a hairpin, and one guy on his hands and knees was using this hand tool to get into every nook and corner of the floor. They worked so hard to get it done quickly and beautifully. They started Monday, and I was back in the house Wednesday. My ONLY complaint, and it's really nothing they had any control over, is the smell of the stain/varnish. It's overwhelming, even after airing out the house for over 24 hours. Then again, the people who came over to help me move my furniture back into place said they liked the smell... Anyway, for what my opinion is worth, I HIGHLY recommend A&F Flooring! They do not demonstrate the basic qualities of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus, which is a requirement of any successful business. In today's business environment, presenting a realistic schedule and most importantly sticking to it is of utmost importance to all parties involved. Alpine Flooring LLC presented what turned out to be unrealistic start and completion dates, just to land the contract, fully knowing they would not meet these dates. Thus, from the beginning, the entire process involved a great deal of unprofessional bullying, misinformation, and lack of response. Much to my distress, the entire project ended up being piecemealed, thus extending well beyond the expected completion date and still remains unfinished. Having experience with numerous flooring projects, I was extremely disappointed and quite surprised by the lack of clean up, as the new floors were dirty, dusty, and a great deal of debris was left behind. I deeply regret contracting Alpine Flooring LLC to install flooring in my home. Consequently, I would never recommend this company to anyone, since they most definitely do not stand by their word.

When I finally purchased I felt like I had explored all possible options and made the right choice. The owner Ron was completely transparent about pricing and I never felt that anything was inflated. He also showed up twice in person to inspect the rooms (before/after) to ensure that we were completely satisfied. It's rare to have great interactions with a business through the entire process. But from sales to install to customer service it is clear this is a business that has quality staff and cares about doing a good job. Would use again!
