Great food, service, and ambiance!!!! Will definitely eat here again!!!! I ordered all meat pasta and some sort of deep fried potato cake with filling. It was amazing!!!!

The small pizza is more than enough for one person, perfect for sharing

An excellent taste of Miami spot here in Jax. If you've never had Cuban pizza this is an excellent spot to put on your bucket list. The best explanation would be a Chicago style flavored crust which is very light and airy with a tangy cheese with very light sauce. This slows the flavor of the cheese and the toppings to shine through without being drowned by too much sauce. The shop also has some good sandwiches, the pork is the best choice.

NO one would ever think pizza from a Cuban restaurant would be soooo good. My wife ordered one for herself about a month ago. She left me a slice and I thought, this is a dream. I work down the street, there's no reason why I wouldn't have eaten this wonderful deliciousness. This pizza reminds me of what pizza hut used to be 20+ years ago. There has to be at least 3 different cheeses and the most buttery crust. I thought for sure there was a special kind of pepperoni, they had the right about of spicy and so flavorful. It was well worth the heartburn I suffered for several hours. My fifth grade pallet wants to eat this pizza EVERYDAY! Definitely a must try.

I had never heard of Cuban pizza before, so of course I had to try it. Subtle differences from standard pizza, but oh so delicious. They have a great description on the menu explaining what Cuban pizza is. Menu is limited, but in a good way. Not overwhelming at all. A few sandwiches, pizza and spaghetti. Pizza comes in two sizes: personal and family. The box for the family size looks like a standard medium sized pizza. FYI they do not sell individual slices. So I opted for a personal, plain cheese pizza because I wanted to get the real experience of what this pizza should taste like. The price was spot on, 6 bucks! Can't beat it. I also decided to try one of their sodas called Kola Champagne. It was fantastic. It tastes like the old school fruit stripe gum. Best description I can give. So my pizza arrived not too long after ordering. The pizza was a nice size. It's very reminiscent to pizza huts personal pan style, but not greasy at all!! Very fluffy and light. The sauce was fantastic. Again very light and slightly sweet. They use mozzarella and gouda cheese, making for a delicious stringy blend. The cheese goes all the way to the edge of the pizza, so there's no crust. Great for those pizza eaters that leave the crust behind. I'm a crust girl myself, but the cheese was so fantastic and crispy at the edge, I didn't miss it. I will definitely return to this restaurant for their pizza and to try their Cuban sandwich. They are also now serving cafe bustelo coffee, so if you need a caffeine buzz and some hair on your chest, grab some coffee there!

Having a hankering for good pizza and to Dave my salmon dinner for another night, I decided that I'd finally check out Cuban Pizzeria's pizza. I've had their spaghetti and really enjoyed it so it was time to find out what this is really all about. First, I found out what a Cuban pizza is: thicker dough, different sauce, mozzarella and gouda cheese, toppings held in place by the cheese overload. I'm down for that. I ordered a veggie personal pizza and a soda called Materva (like Yerba mate ginger ale) in my delivery app and it was on my doorstep in the amount of time they said it would be there. I could smell the pizza through my door and it smelled delicious. I picked up a small pizza box and a bag containing the soda and brought it in. I tasted the Materva and yup, ginger ale like. Just perfect and light enough to enjoy with a pizza. Upon opening the box I discovered that the pizza was no bigger than a paper plate, perfect size for one person. I took a slice in my hand and took a bite. The ratio of toppings to dough is perfectly balanced and I really liked the puffy dough. I couldn't stop eating it until it was all gone. I was full and satisfied. Definitely going to be on my list of quick and delicious eats.

Horrible food! The steak was tough as leather and the sandwich had only 2 small slices of Roma tomato. We spent $50 for sandwiches and fries. The fries were ok but the sandwiches were not edible. Threw the sandwiches out after a few bit

Cuban Pizzeria - what could this be I wondered. I had to look it up and find out during a recent trip to Jacksonville. They sell pizza which is made with a little different style dough and a combination of mozzarella and Gouda cheese I believe. They also sell Cuban sandwiches and I love those! So, I had to try them. The pizza was solid. It had a few things that reminded me of the older style pan pizzas from Pizza Hut but it was better than that. The dough was not very heavy despite being thick. The Cuban sandwich had good flavor and bread although the pork was dry both times I got it on two separate days. They do make it fresh and put both mayonnaise and mustard on it.

I have been eating this pizza ever since they were in a truck on Merrill Rd. The pizza are great and they are personal size so everyone can get their own. It is usually not a long wait and they make sure everything is fresh.

Came here the other day to try this place as I thought it might be interesting. As you enter, the server asks if you speak Spanish, and if you say you speak English, no problem. The server was friendly, and it did not take long to get my order. I ordered a personal (small size) pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. It was better than I expected--it was actually pretty good and tasty. It's different than your average pizza as it's made with two types of cheese and the crust is thicker. This place is truly worth trying, and a place to go if you're looking for Cuban style pizza here in Jacksonville.

If you've never tried Cuban pizza before, you are in for a treat. Be prepare to have one of best styles of pizza you have ever tasted. Here is a little tip about Cuban pizza. You just get cheese, no toppings. That's the Cuban way. This place is awesome and I would highly recommend. They have single serving sizes and large pizzas made fresh on the spot.

Good taste good, no complaints from service but the prices are a bit inflated for the type of food you are getting.

I was hoping to grab lunch from them today, but, noticed they are closed even though their hours show they are open. Do they close when it is raining?

Sorry this happen, they usually stay open for business even when is raining but due to some license from the city the closed today, they are working as quick as possible and get back in business as usual.

I knew yesterday as soon as I saw the advertisement for the new specials I had to get Layla's Chicken Cutlet Sandwich. My daughter couldn't decide on a calzone or the Mac Attack Pizza and after some deliberation, she landed on the Mac Attack Pizza. We got there just after opening and they already had a few customers in the door, but we didn't have to wait long at all. Our food was ready within 15 minutes and brought out. The chicken cutlet sandwich was everything I had hoped it would be. Tangy, savory, and the cutlets were the perfect thickness. Full of great flavor and fresh mozzarella made this the perfect lunch today. The bread wasn't too soft, nor was it too hard. Baked PERFECT. I would eat this every single day if could. Amara loved her pizza and is excited to have some left over for later when she's playing her video games. I like mac n cheese, but generally I'm not a mac and cheese on pizza kind of gal, so I did not try any as of yet. Maybe she'll let me have a slice later? I was too stuffed from the sandwich for anything else. 10 out of 10 recommend and hubby is a little jealous we went without him.

Exactly what's needed for a pizza place. The mural on the wall listed the 5 boroughs and had the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as the Statue of Liberty. I mean, New York is there. The pizza came out fast and I got back. Here's the thing: Florida is notorious for having lackluster pizza. There's no ways around it. The pizza was cooked perfectly, thin, and a thicker crust. Perfect for folding. The sauce: not too loose and not too thin. Good amount for pizza, regardless of location. Flavor wise, not bad. Cheese and toppings had the right amount so it could incorporate into every bite. Now going back to my statement on Florida pizza. It's better than other Floridian pizzas I've had. It scratched the itch and I definitely enjoyed it. They'll get my business when I come back to Jacksonville!

We both preferred it to the brownie ($4). I don't particularly like brownies, but this one looked particularly appetizing, and the order-taker said it was one of her favorites, so we tried it. That was a mistake. Perhaps I should have tried the mini cream puffs, which are a favorite of mine (3 for $5), instead. Among other things I usually like, they had carrot cake for $7 and a cup of cheesecake for $9 (which seems steep).
