Behind the La Porte High school this little family owned business is legit with their Cuban cuisine and coffee. They have 3 locations that I'm aware of, La Porte, Deerpark, and the OG in Baytown. Open early for breakfast also. Til we eat again.

The food was so amazing. I highly recommend trying their sweet empanadas, specifically the cream cheese and Guayava!! It reminds me of my family when they cook Cuban food. The restaurant is hidden and simplistic, but it feels homey and it's honestly a great place to go and do some homework study and have a great meal. Looking forward to going back and trying their other food options! Great service as well, very attentive and kind!

Great place in La Porte. Coffee is spot on, and the breakfast dishes do not miss. Their support for local artists is great. They are a real asset to our town.

Food is awesome and coffee is great. Went at breakfast and we found new place to go now. Coffee made fresh and love the hot sauces.

The food is authentic, delicious and the service is outstanding! Our second time in and we'll definitely be back again.

Come in take a photo and enjoy their amazing coffee, sandwiches, maduras and empanada. Buen Provecho.

Awesome Food and Service, just like in the Island. The ambiance reminded me of a little coffee shop in the Island. Great place to talk unwind of a busy week. The sandwiches made with love plenty of options to chose from. But the guava cheese empanada are on of the best items. Do not forget your Cafe con Leche. If you still have space order the maduros(sweet plantains). You will not be disappointed.

She was quick with our drinks and let us look at the menu for a few more minutes. Mom had the Green Tomato BLT, the Missus had the club sammich. But enough about their meals ... I want to review my meal. Their menu lists that the burger is on a brioche bun ... check that one off of the item list. A hearty patty is also placed inside of the bun and along with it are pickles, lettuce, onion and tomato. Check and double Check. Mayo is slathered on the buns, at just the right amounts that make it taste good, but not so much that it slides the innards of the burger all over the place making the chomping experience mushy. Flavors were good, I had just hoped the patty fit the bun a little better. The ratio was a bit more bun sided than oatty sided. My fries, crinkle cut, were seasoned well. Well enough that no ketchup was needed to dip them into for additional flavor. I would have liked a bit more crispiness from a double fry, but these were toothy enough to get a decent mouth feel. The meal for the three of is was about 47.00, so inflation has also hit my hometown dining places as bad as they have hit my current home near The Woodlands. Will i return to eat there the next time I visit Mom? If she wants to go, then yes, yes I would. I would also hit it alone just for their chicken fried steak or chicken. Ciao, Darrell

Flash fried and Bell pepper really balanced the flavor throughout. The chicken pot pie was a standout. Visually impressive and even better once you dig in, it comes topped with a crispy, buttery croissant crust that spills over the bowl it's baked in. Inside fresh cubed chicken, carrots, and celery in one of the creamiest fillings. For dessert, the bread pudding made me pause mid-bite and demand my dining mate to try it immediately. That mofo slaps...hard. Everything coming out of the kitchen felt sincere and carefully prepared this was one of the best dining experiences ive had all year. Hands down. This place is a hidden gem. If it were located in the Loop, you'd be waiting weeks, months for a reservation and they'd probably already have a James Beard or Michelin award.

We started with the strawberry glazed biscuits and WOW... those melted in your mouth. Absolute heaven! My mom and I loved the shrimp and grits. They used fresh jumbo gulf shrimp over cheesy grits. It's the best we've ever had. My sister also enjoyed her croissant sandwich. We ended the meal with the strawberry shortcake dessert. It was also a big hit and I see why they are famous for it. Special thanks to Magen for making my mom's birthday brunch extra special. She kept the cocktails flowing and even offered us some off menu items like her cherry cosmo and dragonfruit mimosa. We absolutely loved the old town country feel and this was truly the best brunch experience we've had in a long time. We can't wait to visit again soon.
