Chicken quesadilla with mango daiquiri
Anna D.

Excellent, authentic food and drinks! I've been here many times and the food, drinks and service have always been consistently amazing! I have similar food at other places but this place tops my list. The seasoning is on point for everything. The portions are large. Love the tortilla soup and tamales (I'm picky about tamales and this hits the spot) the most but their fajitas are also great to share with a friend. I LOVE their drinks! Mango mojitos (several flavors to choose from), margaritas in several sizes and flavors, frozen drinks, draft and bottled beers and wines. The happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3:00-6:00 PM. They also offer catering and online ordering for individual and group orders or for catering. This is a solid go-to for office and private party catering! They have three locations, and I've been to all of them. That's how much I love their food and drinks, I'm never disappointed. There's also karaoke at their Alexandria Old Town location every Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM. It's so fun! If you haven't tried this place, I encourage you to try it. It's great for groups and families. It's always happy and friendly.

Beef Enchiladas

This place is okay but nothing really stands out as amazing. The spicy guacamole was pretty good and the beef enchiladas were the definition of average, not bad but nothing amazing. The service is always friendly here and they don't usually seem to be overly crowded. I'll probably come back here since it's the closest Tex-Mex place but there are other better places in the area.

Start off with chips and salsa

Pass here everyday to/from home and finally decided to try this out. Was not busy for a Friday night, so no wait for a table. Around 9pm, the music turned up and the screens turned on to full blown karaoke night! It was the first of such event. But am I glad to finally try this place out. The chips and salsa to begin was nothing special as the chips were mostly all broken and some hardened, so may have been from the bottom of the pile. The salsa was good but big chunks of tomatoes. The server was very nice and helpful with his explanations of between the fajitas or the Arracheras Molcajete, which is what I ended up ordering (grilled steak and chicken). DELICIOUS! I know now to next time removing the cheese and meat surrounding the hot bowl as it quickly stuck to the bowl. It was perfect with the corn tortillas and chunks of the grilled jalapeño. Will be back and enjoy!

Camarones mezcal with the wrong vegetables

If I could leave a 0 star I would. When dinning in make sure you still wear your coat because it's still cold inside. Like turn up the heat. Took over an hour from ordering food until food hit the table. Ordered the camarones mezcal (shrimp roasted peppers and onions) . Got shrimps with vegetable medley. Father in law ordered a steak mid rare came out will done and burnt on top of that. Food was flavorless. Recommend chipotle over them

Salsa

Cuates recently opened near me, so I dropped by for lunch. Fresh chips and fresh salsa are served immediately upon being seated. The first time I visited, I had 3 tacos. They were OK, but nothing to write home about. Taco Bamba is the yardstick against which I measure tacos in NoVA. Cuates has a green sauce which is AMAZING. It's spicy enough to be interesting, but not so spicy you'll regret it later. The second time I went, I had the grilled steak arracheras Molcajete. If you're a hot stone bibimbap fan, you'll likely enjoy this. The steak was grilled and laid on the edge of a hot stone bowl. Inside the bowl is a sauce with scallions, nopales, jalapeno, avocado, and panela cheese in a home made red and green sauce. It is served with rice and beans on the side and several corn tortillas. This is my "go to" when I visit. They also have an excellent selection of top shelf tequila, but no Topo Chico. They also have a fantastic selection of Mexican beers. This is a great spot for lunch and they also serve dinner. On weekends, they have brunch, as well.

Nachos chicken

Great decor and ambiance. Great service. Great food. Salsa is mild, chips are fresh and excellent. They leave water bottles at the table for refills. Good experience, would definitely return. Parking is a bit of an issue but i don't hold that against the business.

This place is interesting because they have essentially three different menus along with a bakery…read morethat I believe is open all day with a variety of interesting baked goods. They have a breakfast/brunch menu, a daytime/lunch menu, and an evening menu and you can watch them preparing items in the kitchen. You can either eat inside or outside on the patio, and they have heaters for the cooler days. We came here to get some baked goods mid-afternoon and they still had a good selection. The bear claw was large and tasty with an enjoyable cinnamon flavor and the lemon meringue croissant was unique and enjoyable as I'd never had a croissant with lemon meringue filing. They weren't cheap but they were tasty and enjoyable. I did want to mention they have parking but it's hit or miss on getting a spot since it can get crowded so walking might be easiest if you live nearby. I'll come back here again for a meal and to try some other items on their menu.

I really wanted to love this place…read more My family and I chose to come here for Easter because it's dog-friendly -- which felt like the perfect combination for us. They even have a dog menu, and the patio setup is honestly beautiful. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and aesthetically on point. The staff greets you right away, and first impressions were genuinely great. We chose to sit outside on the balcony so my puppy could join us, and that space alone is worth noting -- fire pits going, cozy atmosphere, just really well done. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We ordered food for all of us, including my daughter and my puppy. My food and my puppy's food came out fairly quickly, but my daughter's meal never arrived. After waiting quite a while, I had to flag down the waiter, only to be told -- after the fact -- that they didn't even have what she ordered. At no point before that did anyone communicate this. So now she has to reorder, and we're waiting all over again while the rest of us are already eating. When her food finally arrives, there's no silverware. Just... dropped off with no thought to the fact that she actually needed utensils to eat. We also ordered lemonade, which was great -- but when the waiter offered to bring more after the issues, it never came. To try and make up for things, they brought out a dessert that looked beautiful, but when we asked what was in it (due to food sensitivities), the waiter had no idea. He eventually came back with an allergy sheet, which felt like an afterthought rather than informed service. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead, the waiter told me, "I just got out of trouble -- what can I do to make this right?" That response alone was incredibly off-putting and unprofessional. We ultimately just had my daughter's meal removed from the bill and decided to move on. Even my puppy's waffles -- which was one of the things we were most excited about -- came out slightly burnt. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and disorganized service completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. It's disappointing because the space and concept have so much potential. Unfortunately, I can't overlook the service issues.

It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

It was fantastic and the manager was wonderful. When we walked in, the manager showed us the menu, gave recommendations on what to get (get the breakfast plate and hot egg plate), said no pressure, and introduced us to the woman working the cash register who also brought us our food. He later sent us two baklava pieces after we finished our meal. We were beyond surprised and let me say...they were delicious. He was so nice, the vibes of the restaurant were so friendly and it was a welcoming atmosphere. Food: We got the breakfast plate and hot egg plate which was recommended and is the best deal. For the egg plate I got the menemen (tomatoes and peppers with eggs) which was so good. I don't like cooked tomatoes, so I am not sure why I like this or how they make it, but it is delicious and not super tomatoey. The breakfast plate comes with 2 pita, dips, tomato, cucumber. We also got the Turkish Sausage eggs which are great and have slim cut pieces of sausage in them. We also got 2 simits, 2 boreks and 2 teas. The baklava was outstanding! We tried what I think was the regular which had a floral tone to it, the chocolate and the tahini. The tahini was my favorite by far - I had never tasted anything like it. Each piece is $2 and affordable. Seating: There is indoor and outdoor seating. I believe there may have been 8 tables inside? It is set up well in that you can make the tables smaller or bigger. Square and round tables. Good for groups larger than 4. Outdoor seating has a ton of tables and was in the shade when we were there. Parking: Super easy. Delivery: well packaged for a long trip to DC and it remained fresh and hot. Food: Sweet potato tater tots El Lomo Saltado Both of these selections were AMAZING! The sweet potato tater tots were genius! Perfectly prepared, packing flavor in each bite. The El Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! Allow me to break down the flavors: Biscuit: gosh this biscuit was buttery and soft. And yes, the juices from the steak did not make it soggy. But back to the biscuit...the top was flaky and the inside was soft! Soft and buttery. Egg: I asked for a well done fried egg (the main dish contains over easy) the egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. Steak: the steak pieces were generous and the seasoning on the meat...dangerous! There was a slice of provolone cheese melted on the egg and the sandwich also contained pieces of potatoes and tomatoes inside. All of the flavors in this biscuit meshed together so well, making this a reallllllllllllllly good sandwich. Now I'm sold! What other fun dishes can I try on their menu?!

We're still paying customers, ready to order food and drinks. Denying service like that--especially with empty tables in plain sight--feels unnecessary and rigid. I even asked twice, hoping for a little flexibility, but the answer didn't change. I work in the service industry, and this is exactly the kind of situation where you make an exception or use some common sense. Instead, it felt like policy over hospitality. Really disappointing experience for a place I was excited to try.
