The tacos here are honestly delicious and well-priced considering the flavor. Paid $2.75 per taco which I wasn't complaining about. It was evident that the fillings were juicy and it wasn't just watery because the tortillas weren't soaked, but upon taking a bite, juice would ooze out the other end. If I'm correct in my assumption of which tacos were filled with what, the brisket and mushroom (though spicy) were the best! The pork, beef cheek, and pork stomach were also really good. I didn't find the chorizo to be exceptional but I'm not partial to chorizo anyway. I would recommend trying the costra (a sort of taco with cheese grilled on the tortilla)! I came at 11:30 am on Tuesday and was able to park in the lot as well as order immediately, but the line didn't get too long as I was there either. The meat that they pack into this is ridiculously good, good amount and flavor. The only reason why mine is a 4.5 instead of a 5 is because they ran out of lingua when I came. Best tacos we've had on this trip so far! The meat reminds me more of LA style street tacos, which are typically just meat, onions and cilantro. Each taco is pretty small and a sign posted on the truck recommends getting 5-7 tacos per person. We were still full from our day of gluttony, but I still managed to eat two tacos. We got a mix of beef cheek, brisket, and pork (carnitas) and a beef cheek quesadilla. My favorite were the beef cheek tacos, which were so tender and flavorful. They ran out of lengua tacos or I would've wanted to try those! The line was surprisingly not super long, and there are plenty of picnic tables for all the food trucks in the vicinity (no bathrooms I could see though). Forgive me, my plant-based friends, I had a complete cheat meal (snack). I was walking back home from downtown and cuantos tacos was one of the few food trucks still open and I was feeling snackish. Additionally, I had been watching a lot of cooking competition shows recently and it had been a loooooong week. So naturally, I decided to go all in on a taco spot that I've heard great things about. Conscience aside, these tacos oozed authenticity and packed a ton of flavor. I love this style of mexican street taco, topped with cilantro, onion, fresh avocado, cheese, and a squeeze of lime. The two salsas were amazing, the red one had a smoky acidity to it, and the green one was a salsa verde with a good amount of heat. I'll be honest the 4 types of tacos I got (cachete, buche, suadero, and champinones) were all very flavorful and moist. Outside of texture, since the tacos were so small they were hard to differentiate. I do think the cachete was my favorite though, extremely tender to the point of being buttery.
