It was convenient to go to Wrigley.I didn't have to use Uber. There were a lot of Cubb's logos. The trains were so crowded that it reminded me of trains in Japan.Others were okay.

The official CTA stop of the Chicago Cubs!

I refuse to give anything less than 3 stars for CTA stops simply because they do what I need them to do... get me from somewhere to somewhere else. This stop is above average in cleanliness and comfort, so I'm giving it a one star bump.

Well, it's definitely one of the better smelling Red Line stops, that's for sure (Wilson, I'm side-eying YOU!)

This train stop is very well kept, and I'm sure it's location to Wrigley Field has a lot to do with that.

I seem to recall my initial thoughts being about how clean and sensical this station was! As a terminus, it's very easy to navigate, with clear signage telling you which track the next train will depart from. The station is also extremely well-lit and clean, especially given how many people pass through at all hours of the day and night. I've never had any safety concerns, at least in part due to the large number of fast-walking people, security, and police presence. While not a museum piece, I appreciate that the glass walls have some colorful lighting behind them. For a station that is technically underground, it's a warm retreat from the otherwise fully utilitarian ones. The one tiny hope I have is that signage along the platform would reflect when the train will actually depart. I generally like to be as close to the head car as possible and always worry the doors will start to close on me. Though to be fair this is more a CTA issue than one with the station itself. Last, but certainly not least, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the convenience of having an El station right under the airport! I am able to connect to the rest of the city without having to fuss around with buses and other transit options. With all this, the O'Hare El Station ticks all the boxes for what I would expect and hope for in a station serving one of the nation's busiest airports.

Ticket kiosks are available right by the station, with day passes, 3-day passes, and Ventra cards available for purchase. The kiosks do not offer change, so be sure to have the appropriate bills available should you pay in cash.

The downside is you have to use the ParkMobile app to renew your parking and the app is awful. The major issue is you can only renew your parking until midnight, or immediately after midnight. So if you're parking overnight, you must be awake at 12:01am to renew your parking for another 12 hours. Needless to say, 3 days in a row, that is unsatisfactory. Unfortunately the app does not let you know that in advance; you simply find out at 11pm when you want to go to sleep and realize you can only renew parking for 59 minutes unless you try again after midnight. My car was safe for the three days it was at Kedzie. But the surrounding are is a neighborhood to avoid at night, with all due respect. Note: the lot is on the north side of the CTA station. It is not marked with a sign at the entrance. It is hard to find by driving. But if you circle the perimeter of the station to the north you'll see it.

If the CTA really tried to make the OrangeLine as unique as they wanted it to be, they surely succeeded with this station, thanks to the flowers and trees here. This station allows you to connect to four bus routes #47, 51, 51A, and 52. Next to the south side of the station is a strip mall containing Aldi, Kmart, and several other nice stores. AJ Wright just closed all their stores so it's gone. Overall, five stars all around. Great station on one of the CTA's safest L lines.

As someone who moved into this area in the past year or so, I have to say that this station is fairly clean, modern, provides great shade, and is easy to navigate. I usually always enter from the north side of Wilson since I live closer to that side of the street, and there is literally only stairs on that side (which is fine fine for me personally), but if you are handicap, or just have trouble walking up stairs, the bigger entrance across the street on the south side of Wilson would be your entrance/exit. This is a very long station too so you can even enter here from the side of Target/Aldi as well. I love that the Wilson station is a major Purple line stop as well which makes it convenient during rush hour to get to other places quicker than just the Red Line.

It's a pretty clean station. It feels very high in the sky and the breeze is nearly constant there, a bit rough in wintery conditions and refreshing the rest of the year. There is an on-demand heated metal shelter on the platform if you're cold. The ramp at the Sunnyside entrance and exit (on the southern end of the station) is a nice option if you're wheeling stuff with you or don't want to deal with stairs or the elevator. The architecture is pleasant with the covered arch over the platform. It feels spacious, functional and comfortable. I like that there are three places to embark or to depart: Sunnyside Avenue, Wilson (south) and Wilson (north side). The Wilson south is kind of the main entrance, with Sunnyside a close second (especially convenient for Truman College, Aldi or Target), and the north as a distant third, though convenient to not have to cross the street or if you're transferring westbound. Safety: a number of transient people hang out at or near the station, but most are just minding their own business, struggling internally. You'll likely see the most between the Sunnyside entrance and the northward path or shortcut leading to Truman College, so keep that in mind if you're feeling unsafe or unsure. Others hang out between Sunnyside and Wilson on Broadway. Again, your own levels of comfort and familiarity will determine your feelings about security. Be aware, undistracted and compassionate, with relaxed intent. Wilson, Wilson, Big station Wilson, Alight or depart I sing Harry Nilsson? Bleh.
